LA Police Gear Core Cargo Pant

SKU #: LAPG-PT-BTP9001
MSRP: $49.99
$16.99
Description

The LA Police Gear Core Cargo Pant gives you all the basics you need, and none of the frills and gimmicks that you don't. We are talking classic, functional cargo pants that are simple, tough, and comfortable. This all-purpose pant can really do it all, and because we trimmed out the supertacticalhighspeed features that (let's be honest) only 5% of us use, the price has reached a new low for LAPG pants. That being said, that doesn't mean these pants don't have the tough features you need.

The Core Cargo Pant still has a metal YKK zipper, elastic waistband for comfort and CCW, angled front pockets for clipping a knife, light, or pen, articulating knees for flexibility, and of course two big cargo pockets that close with hook & loop. The 55% Cotton/45% Polyester Rip-Stop fabric is both tough and comfortable. These pants have an athletic fit that will be roomy while not looking like parachute pants.

At this price, why not try a pair out?

Features:

  • Made from 55% Cotton / 45% Polyester Rip-Stop Fabric
  • Fabric Weight: 7 oz.
  • Button Closure with Metallic YKK Zipper
  • Elastic Waistbad for Comfort
  • Rear Slip Pockets for Easy Access
  • Angled Front Pockets, perfect for clipping a knife, light, or pen
  • Two large cargo pockets with hook & loop closures
  • Articulating Knees and Reinforced Stitching

    Love these pants
First off, I ordered a larger size in waist and length due to guys saying they were small and that some shrank. This is my only regret! They were too big in the waist and long. I wear a 38-32 but ordered 40-34. Washed them 4 times and dried without them shrinking. That being said I ordered another pair in my normal size to compare (haven't received yet). I can get by with the larger size using a good belt, and boots. These pants are great though! Comfortable, functional, without the mall ninja look. Perfect for casual Fridays at work and anything weekend related. Would wear them everyday if I could honestly.

    NICE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE
I have not used these for duty yet but look and feel great!! The price was right on sale at $16.99 which is awesome but that low price does not reflect on the quality. The fit is great and there are stretchy sides to help that perfect fit!! Well done LAPG. We will see how they stand up to working conditions soon.

    Great pants for the price
They aren't as heavy as my other brand pants but they don't cost as much either. Would have liked three rather close belt loops in rear center if the pants. I've only worn them once and so far I line them bit we'll see how they hold up long term. If I can get a year out of them I'll be very happy.

Nice cargo pants for a great price
Pants are good quality, though I'd like a few more pockets similar to 5.11s, but for the price these are great. Fit seems a little bit tighter than other pants, but they still fit okay. Overall I'll buy em again.

So, what is the correct answer for the number of belt loops? Reading the answers to the previous question; there is no consistent answer. Some say five, some say six, and some say seven. So what is the correct answer? Does it depend on the pair of pants that you receive? Come on, there has to be a definitive correct answer to how many belt loops there actually are. Thanks!

There are 14 belt loops. Though, they are not tactical loops, and thusfore count as one half (1/2) each. Two are purposed as key clip anchors decreasing the effective quantity to five (🖐 <-- these manys). There are no pockets that open at the top.

The major differences are the material and size of the lower leg pockets. The Urban Operator Pant are a 65% Polyester/35% Cotton rip-stop fabric and have a slightly larger lower leg pockets the Core Cargo are 55% Cotton / 45% Polyester Rip-Stop Fabric. I must note the Core Cargo are not very good at "Rip-Stop", I have ripped them easily. I would say to get the Urban Operator Pants. they are a couple of bucks more but are made with a slightly better material and have bigger pockets.

Actually if you soak them in vinegar for a few hours then wash as normal, there will never be a loss of color. Had a GF that did that to a red pullover one time and the color NEVER faded. Had to get rid of it because it was out dated from the 90's, but would still be as red as day one if I'd have kept it. Really. It works.

How do these pants compare to the 5.11 Tactical Stryke Pants with Flex-Tac in fit and feel ?
    1 Answers
I was able to pull a pair of each from the warehouse and take a look. The 5.11 Shryke with flex tac are just slightly sorter for the same size and a tad narrower. The 5.11 Shrykes also have a gusseted crotch and stretchy fabric whereas the LAPG cargos do not feature these.

These have just the standard front pockets, no extra cell phone pocket. I hope this helps!

Do they run big or small or true to size ?

The waistline on these are measured with the elastic loose and should run true to size but with some added room for movement. I hope this helps!

I have purchased a couple different versions of LAPG pants, and the sizing doesn't seem consistent from model to model. I wear 34x32 in the Vertx LT pants & they fit perfect. How do the LAPG Core pants compare to them in relation to size/fit?
    1 Answers
I was able to pull a pair of each from the warehouse and take a look. The Vertx are just slightly narrower but everything else lines up roughly the same.

What are the chances LAPG will be coming out with a version of these pants minus the cargo pockets?
    2 Answers
At this point I do not know of any plans to make these without cargo pockets however if we get enough interest in a version like that we will certainly look into it. I hope this helps!

Good question. I've wondered that many times myself. I try to tell the wife I'll dress less tactical, and LAPG pants without the cargo pockets would be a great solution. I love all the other features and theirs is all I wear on a daily basis. I sure wish they would make some w/o the cargo pockets. I quess we'll have to make sure there's interest in them.
