Exactly what I needed with only a bit of a downside.
I have had this vest for a few weeks now. I needed a low key, (and classier looking than the obvious LEO vests that are a dead giveaway) vest to cover my weapon because I hate suit coats more than anything. Fleece vests ball up and look like you found them under your car after only a few washes, and almost all travel vests are apparently made by people who instinctively feel that people that need vests, need them most to rid them of all that pesky cash lying around. I found that a low key travel style vest costs anywhere from $90.00 - $200, as ridiculous as that sounds. I was pretty relieved to find this vest, and I was pretty happy about it. It took a while for the vest to arrive and shipping was more than I wanted to pay (perhaps thanks to my Amazon Prime habit) but when I got the vest, I was pretty happy. It is very low key and conservative. It doesn't draw attention, is true to fit, but still allows enough room to cover my weapon. I am 5'8", average weight, and I carry a Glock Model 22. I struggle because it feels like I have to buy everything up a size just so my duty weapon doesn't show. It seems fairly heavy duty, and feels like it will be able to take a bit of a beating. On top of the job, I have 5 kids, who like to climb all over me, so when I buy things, I try to stick to things that won't get too beat up in the wash. If I have any complaint it would be that the vest could use a couple more pockets on the inside. It has two naturally placed pockets, one upper pocket, and one inside upper pocket. The lack of pockets takes away just ability from its flexibility for use, especially while traveling. The other con, if ever so slight, is that it has a fleece-like lining, adding a little to the insulation effect. For a person like me that is always hot, this adds just enough heat to make it noticeable, and a bit of a pain to tolerate in these summer months. But then again, it beats wearing a suit coat or a jacket. Knowing all this, I feel like this was an excellent deal and something I would absolutely buy again.
ProsNice looking True to fit Allows space to cover my weapon Price
ConsWarmer than I would like Needs another pocket or two

    nice and light
I like this vest. For me, it goes down far enough to cover. It is light and nice. Great for early spring or fall. The biggest thing for me was the chest pockets are a bit small for anything but a pocket rocket. Other than that, great.

    Great Vest
Used it at Knobb Creek with a hoody. Awesome fit comfort and great pockets. Only wish it had the storage spots in the pocket for phones, ipod etc.

I am needing a vest for the purpose of concealing a firearm, I was wondering how long this vest sits compared to the 5.11 covert vest (several of my coworkers use the 5.11 one so I know it's long enough, but I was looking for a more affordable alternative).

The fit of this vest is fairly "trim" thats is a good thing for me concealing inside the waistband primarily. When i do OWB carry my full size 1911 in a desantis pancake holster the last 1-2 inches of the holster will fall below the vest. Great product for a great price.
