    long lasting
I purchased one of these lights approximately 6 years ago. Over the years I've switched duty weapons but this light has always been swapped over to whatever I carry. Its actually my longest lasting piece of equipment. I had the strobe feature stop working on it approximately a year ago. Streamlight said they will fix it for free, I just haven't been able to spare the time to send it back for repair. This light is good on batteries, is durable, and is in my opinion, the best bang for the buck for weapons lights.

    EXCELLENT PIECE OF HARDWEAR
The TLR-1 works fantastic with my Springfield XDM-9 and Safariland 6360 holster. The light is very bright and lights up both back yards and hallways with a consistent spotlight. Unlike higher lumen lights the 300 lumens are not too much and do not white wash with white walls. This product is also highly durable and has already taken some abuse from heavy use but with no signs of slowing up. The TLR-1 is also very affordable compared to other "smancier" options out there.
ProsDurable Reliable Bright Easy Operation Looks Cool

Great Product, Great Price, Great Shipping
Love my TLR-1 Streamlight. LAPG has the best price, fast shipping and most of all, the product works as advertised. Had difficulty finding a reliable light that would attach to a Sig P226, but the TLR-1 fit perfectly and puts out a great 300 lumen beam of light. Just what I was looking for. Be sure to use Streamlight CR123A batteries to ensure maximum life and reliability. They can also be found on Amazon.com.
ProsFits almost any pistol with a picatinny rail. Reliable light that won't fail to function when you may need it the most. Like the positive on/off and intermittent light switching options. Very easy to install and remove. Very bright light.
ConsNone that I can think of at the moment.

Good question, The best thing to do would be to use our holster finder: http://lapolicegear.ecomm-search.com/Holster-Finder#_ga=1.186297838.698750979.1473886203 Which will only bring up holsters with compatible versions to your handgun. I hope this helps!

Does this work with the Sig Sauer P229?
    1 Answers
SIG SAUER Fits: GSR or 1911 Style with flat bottom rail - Picatinny key. ANY ALUMINUM FRAME SIG WITH A ROUND BOTTOM RAIL: Including the P220R, P229R, etc. The Sig round bottom rail departs from the true shape of both the 1913 and Universal standards and may cause an improper fit. The TLR will work with the 1913 key but THERE WILL BE DAMAGE to the finish of both the gun and the light. The retaining screw must be TIGHT. Newer Sig P series guns are supposed to have a true Picatinny rail. This has not been verified by Streamlight. SP2022 - Polymer frame. Same comments as for aluminum frames, EXCEPT that the polymer frame is a little thicker and does not show marks from a clamp because it is molded from black material. PER SIG, the TLR with the 1913 key works.

I plan on mounting on a dd m4 v1. I handled an Inforce set up without any remote switches and the controls were totally accessible and functioned fine. Why do I need to purchase the long gun kit?
    1 Answers
It's not always necessary to have the kit, it really depends on how you would like to set up your rifle. Some people like to have the switch close to their trigger hand, some people mount the light on the side of their rifle and don't like to use their other hand to activate it. Its more of a convenience for the comfort of whoever is shooting the weapon.

It should fit since the rails are standardized. You you gun has a rail on it this light should fit fine. Look at where the notch on the rail is on you gun and you can imagine how far the light will stick out. There is a block just forward of the mounting screw that will mount into that not in your gun

Yes... it will fit, I do not know of it will protrude beyond your muzzle or not (although that will depend upon how far back you seat the unit for your finger length and then what holster you plan on using)

I have a Glock21SF with a TLR-3Weaponlight. I have a Safariland leg holster with weaponlight that fit The TLR-3 light, well the TLR-3 broke and now I need to replace it. Will my holster fit the TLR-1 if it fit a TLR-3? I dont have the packaging with me and cant remember. Thanks.
    1 Answers
it is hard to say if your holster will fit the TLR-1 without a model number because some holsters can work with both and some are not able to. we would recommend contacting Safari land directly and providing them with your model number of your holster which can normally be located on the back side of the holster and they would be able to tell you what weapon lights will fit that holster.

can this fit Sig Sauer P250 compact 40 cal
    1 Answers
Streamlight's website states this regarding the fit of a TLR-1 mounted in a Sig Sauer's rail: The Sig round bottom rail departs from the true shape of both the 1913 and Universal standards and may cause an improper fit. The TLR will work with the 1913 key but THERE WILL BE DAMAGE to the finish of both the gun and the light. The retaining screw must be TIGHT. Also, the tip of the TLR-1 weapon light will stick out about a half inch past the end of the muzzle of your P250 Compact.
