Our P1R Peacekeeper is a no-frills version of our programmable, dual-fuel-capable R1 Lawman,™ which is the most sophisticated duty light ever built. The rechargeable P1R leads with 600 lumens on high, which is designed for identifying threats and temporarily blinding aggressors with a simple press or click. On its second press or click it generates a 15-lumen (Click Switch model only) long-runtime beam for close-up work. Peacekeeper’s precision reflector focuses its LED-generated light into a far-reaching wide beam that is both blinding and assists officers with situational awareness that’s crucial on the streets. It’s a powerful rechargeable duty light for beat cops and others who demand a high-value daily use illumination tool designed for tactical situations. To recharge, remove the Li-ion battery, insert into charger, and plug it into an AC outlet until charged.

  • Virtually indestructible high-output LED regulated to maximize output and runtime
  • Reflector shapes far-reaching beam with intense center and significant surround light for peripheral vision
  • Dual-output tailcap click switch—press or click for maximum output, press or click again within two seconds for useful low-output setting
  • Coated, tempered window resists impact and maximizes light output
  • Weatherproof—O-ring and gasket sealed
  • Constructed of high-strength aerospace aluminum with Mil-Spec hard anodizing for extreme durability
  • Includes energy-dense 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, AC charger, and DC car charger
  • Backed by SureFire’s No-Hassle Promise

Are there any leather, closed top holster for this light? I know that Surefire makes a leather holster, but it's not closed-top. Thanks.

What is the throw or distance of the beam on high, and can the rechargeable battery be charged in the flashlight?
    2 Answers
unfortunately the manufacture was not able to provide us with an exact measurement because they stated that the throw of the light can be affected based on weather conditions, battery life and many other aspects but they said the light can be seen from a very far distance away and should met what ever needs you throw at it. as for the battery. no the battery does need to be removed to be able to be charged.

I recently purchased this flashlight and I LOVE IT! ! ! I can tell you that the Surefire box states that the beam has a throw distance of 230 m. I work as a school security officer and I can tell you it definitely lights up objects well beyond the length of a soccer field(which is longer than a football field) on our campus. Hope this helps.

Is the tactical switch version dual output or just the click switch is dual output? And is the brighter mode first?
    2 Answers
The tactical switch version is a single output only of 800 lumen. only the click switch would have dual settings. The dual switch version would start on High when first turning on.

    It's only 600 lumens, not 800!
