Mil-Spec Monkey EMT Shears

The EMT Shears from Mil=Spec Monkey worked great for the new Trauma kit I put together. The shears fit very nicely into the small bag and they are always ready should they be needed in an emergency.

Excellent shears for the price.

Look and feel comparable to my other shears that were more expensive. I like the blacked out color.

Tactical & Non-reflective. Strong frame, great price, and handle loops large enough to accommodate gloved fingers.

These EMT shears are a large size and well-built. They have multiple color selections and are very sturdy. They are a compliment to any EMT kit.

I'm not an experienced trauma shear user by any means. They do however seem to be strong and durable.

I'm not an EMT or FD or LE... just a guy who likes to be prepared and have gear that works. I haven't used these a ton yet, but I like what I see so far. First, you can't beat the price... especially for a non-professional. I like that there were a lot of color options; The bright orange I wanted was sold out (figured it would be easier to find at a campsite etc. if I dropped them), so I went with my stand-by gear color of OD Green. These are full size, but are a perfect fit in my Maxpidition Fatty Organizer. That makes it easy to keep on hand without being overt or putting them in an awkward spot. Since this is my first pair of EMT shears, I don't really have any to compare to, but I know the equipment's reputation from friends in the field that swear by having a good pair with you; on the job or off. I know these are all "tacticool" with the blacked out metal parts etc. and that's ok. I was more impressed with the price and color options. These cut right through a penny as they're reputed to do. The handles are comfortable in hand. But, the action on them is kinda stiff. I'm not sure if that's normal for these types of shears or if it is the black coating or the hinge or just the way these blades scissor. I'm hoping that they loosen up a little over time.

These EMT shears are of excellent quality. I like the non-reflective coating on the metal. They are comfortable to hold and cut through a pair of old jeans easily. Color choices and price are great?

Bought these to go in my first aid kit. For the price these shears are pretty high quality. Great for cutting through clothing materials and chopping up bandages.
