Description
A drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M4 mil-spec carbine buffer tubes, the SL-K is designed for compact PDW style weapons or users desiring a small and light stock.

Features a short and slim profile, a smaller rubber butt-pad with rolled toe for easy shouldering and sure grip, and a 1.25” footman’s loop with the ability to accept an optional M-LOK QD Sling Mount for push-button style QD sling swivels. A new, unique, ambidextrous release latch minimizes rattle on the receiver extension without requiring additional locks, levers, or springs*.

Made in U.S.A.

Features:

  • Mounts on mil-spec sized carbine receiver extension tube (not included) from manufacturers such as Colt, LMT, Ruger, S&W, SIG, and others
  • Sloping cheek weld combines a slim profile with user comfort
  • Dual-side release latch provides easy adjustment while remaining anti-snag
  • Premium chrome-silicon lock spring provides positive locking and long service life
  • Compact rubber butt-pad offers an anti-slip surface and increases impact protection
  • Rollover on the toe allows for easier shoulder transitions and better fit when using body armor
  • Compatible with Magpul ASAP®, ASAP® QD, and other receiver-mount sling attachments
  • 1.25” Footman’s Loop for sling mounting, and also accepts the M-LOK QD Sling Mount for push-button sling attachment (sold separately)

  • NOTE: There are two basic sizes of M4 Carbine receiver extensions (buffer tubes): mil-spec and commercial-spec. The MOE SL-K will only fit with the common mil-spec tube.

    Perfect Little Stock
Beautiful little stock. A bit shorter than most, do if you are a really big person with gorilla arms (don't be ashamed of your freakishly huge gorilla arms now), look elsewhere. For everyone else, this locks up tight and provides a much better cheek weld than most. For under $40 you can't really find a better stock. Especially good for CQC setups, smaller shooters, or SBR configurations, though absolutely not limited to those; makes a perfectly good set up for a normal carbine or midlength build. Well designed, good check weld to help with accuracy, locking mechanism to set it tight with no wobble. Toe of the stock is angled to aid in positive contact for a high ride or tac vest. Only things missing are QD attachments (you buy them separate; seriously, it's probably less that $1 to manufacture these; the ones that work for the LUTH-AR stocks work in these too and are much cheaper than the Magpul variety), and a good recoil pad for high energy rounds (no 458 SOCOM unless you hate your shoulders). But for 95% of shooters and shooting setups, this is a great option!
ProsCheek weld Locking mechanism Price Angled toe
ConsNo QD attachment without buying separately (Come on Magpul! Keeps this from being ridiculously amazing. Buy from LUTH-AR, much cheaper) Little recoil absorption (not ideal for high energy rounds like the 458 SOCOM), but that applies to very few of us, so not a big deal.
