These are the best boots I have ever owned. 5+ years of use and they are still going. If the upper part of the boot is uncomfortable for you look into changing the way you lace your boot (google it if you don't know what I am talking about). The only thing I ever had to do to them to make them completely comfortable is to change the way I laced them.

Great up until...
Up until recently, these were excellent boots. They were my daily wears because they were comfortable, easy to put on and wear, and after I broke them in they never gave me any trouble. To be fair, even though I'm an Armor officer, I never had the chance to do anything super-hooah or hard core while wearing them. The opportunity just never appeared. Thats what makes what happened to them even weirder. While working on our new tanks last months I came down with food poisoning, and that appears to be what did these boots in. I noticed while being ill that i had a hole in the heel that only grew while I was ill. Last time i wore them the heel had ripped more than two inches wide and i could see through the leather. I'm about to return them to Garmont for a replacement. I'm currently wearing the T8 NFS and I love them.
ProsComfy once broken in, tough sole, great overall
ConsLeather heel cap failed inexplicably

Most Painful thing I've ever had on my feet
I had heard nothing but great things about these boots, so I decided to try them. They are a well made boot, but very confusing. The footbed/insole is extremely comfortable. Hugs my foot like a sock. That is where the good ends. I can't put them on more than 30 seconds at a time. Something about the way the upper is designed is very off. The stitching for the eyelets sits on my foot at a weird angle. It is like two icepicks being rammed into my foot along the sides of my instep. I was hoping these would be as good for me as they have been for everyone else. Apparently not.
Conscan"t keep them on without extreme pain

Love these boots!!!!! They are so comfortable, and actually cute in uniform. These were the first boots I didn't have to "break-in". I'm a female, and I usually wear a size 7.5 in women's shoes -- these fit great in a SIZE 6. They're not too tight or too big. I can wear my thick wool winter socks or my regular (thinner) socks and the boot feels great.

I just ordered my first pair, and all I have to say is that they are a great pair of boots! from the moment I had put them on I had felt a difference in comfort an coolness of the boot. Im able to move quickly, as well as get enough grip when climbing large obstacles.

Good boots, fast service
Ordered the boots while deployed and they were placed on back order. They arrived 8 days after the order was placed. Boots are pretty solid. They take a little bit to break in but are worth it. Plenty of support in the ankle. Solid contruction but still pretty light. I'll order them again once by Bellvilles wear out.

I currently have a pair of these that are in need of replacement. I dont know if they were wide or regular (medium). Are there any marking on the boot themselves that identify the width? I have flat feet and have heard wide is better? Love the ones i have, and would like to get the exact same..
unfortunately we do not show any way to signify the boot if it is a regular or a wide but in most cases it sounds like you would have a wide boot as the wide is designed for people with flat feet.

I normally wear size 9 and ordered the 9.5 to allow for feet swelling etc. during roadmarching etc. My feet have enough room to move around in the 9.5s and are still snug. Recommend size 10.

I am buying these for my boyfriend. He bought a pair of Garmont hiking boots in size 8 and loves them (don't have the model # handy), but it was a climbing store and they are good for summer weather. Should I get him the same size for this tactical? Also, I don't see the t6 here, which he would like better b/c lower ankle. And lastly, what's the difference between this and the t8 NFS boot? Thanks,
we would recommend staying with the same size within the same boot manufacture. as for the T6 we are not authorized to sell that boot at this time. the NFS boots is a more light weight boot then the standard T8 boot.

Hello. I was wondering what the estimated postage cost and time would be to come to Australia. If we get them and they are not the right size can we exchange for another size?
If you add this item to your cart and enter in your exact zip code and address, it will provide you with an exact shipping price. You would be able to exchange these, but you would be responsible for the return postage and for the postage on the new pair we would send out.

What is the difference between 6.5 medium and 6.5 wide? I am a size 8 in women's in Australia so I am usually a size 6 men's and I am wondering what the best size would be as I have flat feet.
A wide is usually best if you have flat feet. I would probably go with the wide in your case.

What are the technical specs, IE: Height? Weight? etc. Thanks.
This Garmont T8 Boot is 8" tall, weighs approximately 3 pounds (for a pair of size 9 boots), has a Vibram Bifida Outsole, has a leather and fabric upper and a fabric lining.

my daughter wears womans size 9 1/2. what size should i buy or do you have these in womans size ?
For most boots, women's sizes are 1.5 to 2 sizes smaller. So if she wears a 9.5 in women's, you would wear either a 8 or 7.5 in men's.

I have a question about the sizing of the Garmont T8s. Do I need to order these the same size as my issued boots or my running shoes? I wear a 7.5W for issued boots.
These boots run true to size. It is hard for us to say whether of not you should order the same size as your issued boot though as those boots may not run true to size.
