Awesome belt!!!
I have been wearing this belt for over a year and it durable enough to carry a weapon and a radio without sagging. It looks good in casual off duty clothing as well and since it is black, will go with any outfit. Another great product from Galco. Keep'em coming LAPG :)
ProsMade of good leather hide material, stitching is tight. The fit is true.
ConsNone, great product!

Great Belt!
Great belt, great quality, definitely worth the money. I like the look of the suede finish.
ProsSturdy, and good support for plain clothes wear.
ConsAlthough I like the look of the suede finish, it does get hung up on the belt loops taking it off, no big deal though.

The belt seemed a bit flimsy when I first checked it out. After wearing it for a couple weeks, I find that it easily supports the weight of a Glock 19, extra mag and cuffs. It is very comfortable and the suede finish keeps everything in place. Would go with 5 stars but I don't yet know how durable it will be. If I can get 1 1/2-2 years out of it, that fifth star will be added. Great belt, especially for the price.

Not as good as I expected
Ordered it larger than my size and still barely big enough to use. Not near as thick as I expected to use as a duty under belt. Did not expect this from a Galco product.
ConsNot true to size. Would be hesitant to use with a holster for a concealed weapon.

belt sized too small, suede finish
Not the belt I was expecting. Came in a dark blue suede finish.
Prosinexpensive, seemed firm enough for IWB carry.
ConsOdd suede finish size MUCH smaller than any other size 32 belt I own. I couldn't even close the 2 ends. Ended up giving it to a friend with a 28 inch waist.

OK and sizing is way off.
Nice looking belt but the sizing is way off. I wear a 34 so I ordered a 38... Can't even get the belt to the first hole it's way too small.
ProsNice looking
ConsLike others have said... Order much more then normal. I did and it's still too small. Not very stiff.

Sizing is wrong
Good quality, nice and thick. Has a matte finish like suede. The sizing is way off. I ordered 2 extra inches and should have ordered 4 extra inches.
ProsGood quality, nice and thick
ConsThe sizing is way off. I ordered 2 extra inches and should have ordered 4 extra inches.

Runs small
Been wearing Galco leather a long while now and ordered my correct size in 38 inches. When arrived it fits like a 34 inch. Can only get it on useing the first hole. Good product other than that. I'll buy another at that price and plan to give this one to my son.
ProsQuality Galco product
ConsRuns way small I wear a 38 in Galco belts and will order a new one in 40

Best Belt I've Ever Owned
This belt is fantastic. They are very rigid at first, but still comfortable. After about 3-4 days, it loosens up and provides excellent support for your pants. It says "Carry Lite," but I carry a full loadout with a full-sized 1911, 4 extra magazines, two folding knives, a wallet, phone, and a flashlight - with NO problems. I have gone down in waist size a few times over the years and have had to purchased three of these belts in total - but I give the other ones away and their recipients love them too!
ProsExtremely durable Great LBE Price Comfortable

Is this belt good to carry weapon with holster,OC spray and handcuffs. Thanks

This belt is okay for your intended purpose. I don't much care for the rough out appearance. I have an older Galco belt that is much better. I use it daily for the carry of a handgun, cuffs, ammo pouch and radio. It is the heavy slick finish Galco item. Unfortunately, it costs quite a bit more.............

Yes! I've had this belt a week, and it's a huge improvement over any dress belt and most garrison belts. For the price, it is a no-brainer: this belt is solid & resists twists, is still comfortable, broke in fast, and the round buckle is nice if you have any pudge (like I do). NOTE: USE THE SIZING INSTRUCTIONS on Galco's website--it is spot-on, no need to guess. Also, the belt I got was suede on BOTH sides (inner/outer), not smooth-finished on the outside like dress belts. While a little less "preppy" looking, it means nothing moves (suede is more grabby). I'm very happy with it, especially for the price.

I believe it is, it is a well made durable belt. I've been wearing it about 5 days per week for months and it shows no sign of wear. My only issue is the outer surface of the belt has a suede like texture, rather than smooth leather. The only inconvenience this causes is it does not slip on and off as easy as other belts. However, it does seem to help keep items in place, so both good and inconvenient points to consider.

I would say that would be a stretch. For that amount of gear you would want to step up to a more rigid belt.

Absolutely. I carry a full-sized 1911 in a leather Galco holster. On top of that, I also have 4 extra magazines in leather pouches as well as a knife, a flashlight, a wallet, keys, and a phone in my pockets. I have had no problems at all hauling all the weight. This is the best belt I've ever owned.

Yes, I use it for a light to heavy handgun (rotate between 1911 and an XDS45), phone, extra magazine, and sometimes a two-way radio and small flashlight. The belt is stiff and thick enough that I have not had any issues with support for the items listed. I've used both an OWB and IWB holsters without issue, with more carry time going to the OWB holsters. Hope this helps.
on August 13, 2014
Seems to be plenty strong enough. I have not used mine yet as it is to small. The belt has the correct size on it, but is actually "2-"3 inches shorter. Hope that helps.

This is my everyday carry belt, I carry two fully loaded handguns (Glock 19 + M&P9 Shield) and one 15 round glock mag in a RCS mag holder with nothing but positive results. This belt is heavy duty and designed for abuse and a carry load, For the 24$ this is among my best purchases and Galco is second to none in the carry world as I also utilize a Galco holster for the Glock, Best part its USA Made.

Belt is strong enough, however, I use the Blackhawk reinforced with carbon fiber belt. I carry concealed IWB and mags under suit. This belt didn't have finish that met the quality I liked. Also, I wear and ordered a 34 - this size delivered (but marked) was 34 but fit only on the last hole of the belt - more like a 30". Best to you.

I would recommend this more as a business or business-casual belt for carry of a holster. I would not consider it to really be a full duty-capable holster. If you're going to carry limited items (holster, mags, and cuffs) you'll probably be OK. One thing to consider is that this is belt does not have a slick surface, so moving items once cinched will not be as easy. For use for concealed, or duty wear (with holster and badge, for instance), I think it is a very good choice.

I strictly use it for concealed carry when in a suit, however it doesnt seem like it would last very long for what you need it for. Hope that helps.

While this is not a duty belt, it is more than adequate to handle a holster, pepper spray, and handcuffs. The only semi- negative is the belt is suede black, not polished. While it is nice, I can see where the suede will rub smooth after extended use.

Good sturdy belt. The material that it is made of does make a little hard to slide through holsters.

Can you wear this as a duty belt over another belt or is it intended to be used through pant loops? If so are keepers included or do you need to buy separate?

this belt would be used as a normal belt and belt keepers are not include with this item.

Concerned about proper length/sizing. The Levi's jeans I wear are a 34 waist. Yet, when I measure my waist at the location I wear my belt at, (like stringing the tape measure thru the belt loops of my pants) the tape measure says 40.5". What size belt do I buy??
3 Answers
These Galco Belts are measures in waist sizes, so a size 34 belt would fit a size 34 waist and so on. The belts are not measures in inches.
on March 12, 2013
I have one similar and mine is a little small If you go to Glaco and search belts it shows you the proper way to measure size. I would do that before ordering.

Go to the Galco site, and use their instructions--they are spot-on. If you just 'buy what you're wearing,' then yes, you'll probably get one 2-4" too short.
