    *feels this is unjustly rated
I personally like this, the only option currently available is a camo print in large size. I recently had a run in with stupid people at a gas station, and I have a knife in my backpack or strapped on my boot for stuff like that, but I can't get them out fast enough if there's three people who may or may not be holding guns. This solved that problem. And it can fit snacks. Keep priority things like wallet and passport in the front two pockets and the side reach-in pockets are convenient for pocket-knives, lighters, etc... It's not like a full tactical loadout uniform, it isn't supposed to be. It's just that extra tackon so you can wear it underneath the full loadout or over your not so full loadout. In my case, I can wear it over my shirt and be glad that my tools are close at hand.
    ProsLightweight Four pockets Roomy.

OK..not all that useful but good construction
Bought this due to the price on sale. For the price, a good buy but I can't figure out what I'd use it for. Not all that useful for tactical purposes other than the Velcro for name tags. Looks and feels like a flight suit torn down to a vest. Just the two pockets make it less useful than other vests. Overall...OK.
    ProsConstruction, fit
    ConsNot terribly useful

    Lightweight
Can't find a practical use for it. Kinda lightweight, not really practical for much of anything I need. About all I can say is it has a lot of pockets.

    Love it!
My husband is very well pleased with this vest. Fit was true. He loves the collar and just a very nice quality vest.
    ProsTrue to size. Well made.

Not what I expected or ordered.
The color I ordered was not what I received. It is too much of a hassle to return it because it was a closeout. The color I received was Camo. I am very unhappy with my order. This has never happened to me before.
ConsNot the color I ordered at all.

    Great Modular piece
I really enjoy this concept. It gives you a full jacket look when paired with combat shirts yet gives you layering heat control with an unlimited ammount of combinations of shirts underneath. Sizing is spot on.
Prossuper light weight, breathable. Great zippers love the submarine zipper for unzip from bottom option....we have all been there...
Consfirst week the shoulder seams stayed "up" a little. they lay flat soon enough.

    WHAT?
This vest is cool as hell! Since I don't have to worry about sleeve length, the Large fit perfectly. Sometimes at LAPG, you just get a good deal. Rock on.
ProsPerfect for standing out at work and keeping warm without violating corporate policy Extra pockets at minimal cost
    ConsI didn't buy 2

    Keeping Cool in the Summer
The Blackhawk HPFU vest offers a quality sleeveless uniform that allows you to wear either a short sleeve shirt in the summer or a compression long sleeve for cold temperatures. It is durable and definitely worth it at the sale price. Personally, I would prefer the TRU version with sleeves if this item were sold at the regular price of $59.99. However, at the sales price, it is worth picking up. I would not have purchased it otherwise. I do own the full version as well. Keep in mind that although the front looks great and fits well with duty belts and battle belts, the rear is much longer.
ProsThe sale price. Great addition to wear during the summer to keep cool. Well made.
ConsI would have preferred the loop and hook Velcro on chest to be wide enough to accommodate larger patches. The back is a bit long and designed to be worn untucked.

    Works well
Fits perfectly over a combat shirt but really needs an inch or two in length to be used for concealed carry. Material is a good weight for active outdoor use, breaths OK, and blocks wind well enough to use on the bikes and ATV.

    Nice Fit
This vest is a great idea to go with the combat shirt. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting when I order both items. After receiving them I couldn't be happier. Very high quality item that fits and looks great.

Are there carry concealed pockets built-in?

There are pockets that you could easily fit a small handgun inside. I would advise utilizing some sort of holster or sleeve, if you plan on doing that though.

There is a slash pocket behind the flap pocket. The slash pocket goes to a mesh pocket that is on the inside of the best. The slash pocket has no zipper, or closure. It could be used for concealed carry but without any retention or closure, I would not use it as such.

There are not concealed carry pockets built in. This is true to size, but it is what I would call a somewhat athletic cut to the garment so it tapers toward the waist. Even if there were concealed carry pockets, there just isn't the room and you'd print even with a subcompact

Nope. There's 2 hand pockets up by the armpits, and the two Velcro pockets in the front. I was a little disappointed that there were no interior pockets of any kind but it's not a total bummer for me.

Regarding carry concealed pocket built in.. NO concealed pocked....Just the 2 outer pockets you see in picture.. The vest is very light weight and I can see if they did add a pocket the weight of the weapon would cause the vest to hang be time... Would be very noticeable.. Maybe that is why No concealed pocket.

This runs pretty true to size. I have the after 40 belly and this fits nice. Easy access to the canted pockets. Holds 20 rd mags very well, smart phones no problem. Match up with combat shirts great.
