Good quality, price, and fit.
This is technically the 8x10 medium model. I would have known that had I read about both models. However, as other reviews state, it will* fit 10x12 plates tightly. This PC does not have an internal velcro strap, and only uses the bottom velcro to secure the plates, so I actually prefer the tight fit. I was able to get in trauma pads as well by first working the plates in evenly, and stretching the material out. Then backing the plates out almost all the way and lining up the pad onto the plate, then working both up the sleeve. It was a PITA, but in the end the plates are very secure. As far as fit, I'm 6'3", 215lbs with a thick chest and it fits fine. The shoulder straps did need to be adjusted most of the way out, but as long as your heart isn't in your stomach or you're 7ft tall, I can't see it not fitting. It's very comfortable overall and the pads on the shoulders work well. If it's not tight, it will hit you in the chin when running, as someone else said, but I haven't had too much issue as long as I fit it correctly. The quality is good for the price, and I can see it lasting awhile until it does it's job. It is indeed pretty 'low-viz', and adds very little bulk. It does print under thinner jackets, if you need that sort of thing, but you are wearing full plate. Of course, no side sixers. Get a full one if you need them. Single velcro patch panel on the chest is big enough for two rows of name tape or one flag. It's a good but if you're in a budget or need a back up. Or if you a thinner option to wear covertly. Be safe.

I'VE HAD ALOT OF EXPERIENCE WITH ALL SORTS OF ARMOR AND CARRIERS THROUGH MY ARMY DEPLOYMENTS AND NOW MY CIV LEO CAREER. THIS CARRIER IS UNDER RATED. NOW YOUR MILAGE MAY VERY. IM 5'6, 170. AND THIS CARRIER WEARS WELL OVER MY PATROL UNIFORM OR CONCEALED UNDER A LIGHT JACKET. WHEN NEEDED I RUN A MAYFLOWER UW GEN IV CHEST RIG OVER THE PLATE CARRIER AND ITS LIKE THE TWO WERE DESIGNED FOR EACH OTHER. THE CARRIER ALSO HOLDS MY AR500 HARD PLATES VERY SECURLY WHILE TRAINING. THE MATERIALS AND STICHING ARE AMAZING QUALITY. THE SHOULDER AND WAIST ADJUSTMENT OPTIONS WORK GREAT AND ARE SOME OF THE EASIEST AND QUICKEST IVE USED. THIS RIG IS SO SIMPLE ITS MIND BLOWING. IN A WORLD OF EXTRA MOLLE AND CAMO PATTERNS THIS FILLS THE VOID FOR REAL WORLD USERS WHO WANT QUALITY, LIGHTWEIGHT, VERISTILE GEAR FOR WHAT EVER ENVIROMENT THEY FIND THEMSELVES IN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A SIMPLE ARMOR CARRIER. ILL BE ATTEMPTING TO PLACE SOME 10X12 SOFT ARMOR UNDER THE 10X12 HARD ARMOR PLATES AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES. FOR THE PRICE ITS TO GOOD TO PASS UP. ILL BE GETTING ANOTHER ONE.

Will not fit person 6'4" due to velcro not going length of straps
32PC08 accommodates 9.5x12.5 plates. Some might recommend larger plates for a tall person, but I prefer these smaller lighter plates because they can be worn by themselves and be loe profile or under a kevlar vest. So this 32PC08 plate Carrier Will NOT fit person 6'4" due to the velcro not going the length of straps, although it states "One size fits all". I assume the 32PC12 has longer straps ? Or velcro that runs further down the strap? I hear that the 32PC12 will fit a 9.5X12.5 plate (although it is night a tight fit? there is some movement? some people use some type of spacer on the bottom of pocket to raise plate? can someone elaborate on this? Or Is there another simple plate carrier in this price range that would fit 9.5x12.5 and have longer straps for a taller person?

Just what I was looking for to hold my small 8x10 rifle plates. Didn't want that "tactical look" for this application as I would use this setup with my bug out gear as to not attract attention. Also nice to throw in back of pickup seat if going out of town or use during my required security work.
ProsStrong Velcro, good stitching

Good plate carrier for the price
Same quality as all my other Blackhawk gear. For under 40$ it was a steal too. I ditched the shoulder pads and it fits nice and streamline under a shirt. I also added some Velcro to help keep the strap ends down since I'm a skinny guy and have everything sinched up. There's is also nothing in between the plate and you as far as comfort so I got some foam and cut it to fit inside for some added comfort to minimize fatigue and to help fill out the carrier since my plates don't fit the shape quite perfectly. Before I added the foam my plates would shift around inside. They're the right size, it's just not a snug fit. It'll depend on the type of plates but any issues were fixed with a few dollars worth of foam from an art store.
ProsQuality material Cheap price Very light weight
ConsCould use more Velcro on the straps No padding for comfort

Most affordable slick plate carrier
This is the most affordable slick plate carrier out there. Just make sure its the size for your plates. I had 10x12 treated AR500 plates, and they had a hard squeezing in at first. The only thing I can think of as a major hit is that since it uses a QR strap instead of a velcro cummerbund/waist- strap, the plates will hit you in the chin or neck if you don't secure a chest rig or something over it. Since it is a slick plate carrier, you more than likely will have a chest rig or some other tactical vest over it.
ConsWill hit you in the chin/throat if not held down by a chest rig, lbv or tactical vest or something else over it.

For the price this can't be beat, but don't expect a $300 PC. It isn't extremely adjustable and the universal pockets don't fit my plates perfectly. Running with plates in this PC bounces all over the place. I hope I'm not running for my life in this anytime soon. That being said, a slick PC for under $40 is a bargain. The carrier is well made and seems to be durable enough to last a while. I would recommend it for the price.

Size is questionable
The description says one size fits all, but mine had a tag inside marked "M". I have a tendency to think that is the factory size tag because it was very small for my X-large size torso. I couldn't adjust the straps to lower the plate carrier enough to give my torso what I would considre adequate coverage. Other than the size not being to my expectation, the quality of construction is good and it seems to be a good value.

Couldn't be happier....to be continued!
Ok,let's start this out right...LA POLICE Gear was spot on as usual. Lowest price and fastest shipping. That being said on to the vest. First off I've never had any problems with Blackhawk Brand gear as some people have on the vast worldwide web! I own alot of their stuff and it's held up superbly. Got this carrier not only for the price but it's exactly what I needed. I like to wear a vest over my armor and this fit the bill well. I'm 6' 4" and weigh 240 and it fit perfectly. Fully adjustable and easy at that! I would recommend this carrier to anyone, I've been rolling around and putting it through it's paces and it's held up very well. I'll let you know when and if it craps out!

I have one of these in tan, and I need one in black for duty. My tan has one side full Velcro and the other is just for a patch as shown. Does this one have full Velcro on the other side that's not shown?
There is a hook and loop panel on the back about 2 x 4 inches.

can you fit trauma pads behind the plates with this carrier?
That kind of depends on the thickness of the plate you plan on using with the trauma plates. If you are using a relatively thin plate, than i would say you would have plenty of room. This is a pretty minimalist carrier, so I would say that in general, i probably wouldn't fit. I don't happen to have this in stock to at the moment to test that for you.

Does this carrier ( listed as 9.5" x 12.5") support 10x12 commercial plates? Seems like these carriers options are aimed at SAPI plates, not commercial plates.
I had this item pulled and tried it with the AR500 10x12 plate http://www.lapolicegear.com/ar500-curved-trauma-plate.html <= I couldn't even get the plate into the carrier. So the answer to your question is no, these will not fit 10x12 plates.
