    Nice Briefcase
Ordered as a replacement for the backpack I was using that was having wear issues. This briefcase is well made and the material seems to be very robust and well stitched. It should stand up to a lot of use. Lots of little pockets and pouches, which if you have small items are O.K. However, if you have a long range ballistic calculator, or laptop of any size to transport, this one comes up a bit short on room. The main pocket is lined with a membrane of some sort (rubber, PVC, etc.) to help keep the contents dry. But, if you live or travel to a humid climate I've found it to be a bit problematic with condensation. My only big dislike is that the carry handle is off center as is the whole bag's configuration. Which is fine if you are only going to use the shoulder strap, but if you set it down it is going to roll over onto its front, and using the handle it is a bit awkward.
ProsWell made with good stitching and binding. Outer material is good quality and should stand up to a lot of use.
ConsCarry handle is off center, making it a bit awkward when carrying. Because of its forward construction and pocket configuration it does not stand upright. Main pockets are small for its overall size, making for carrying a laptop or ballistic calculator problematic.

    Very well made
Very well made and high quality materials used. This thing is STURDY. It is very stiff at first and tends to topple forward at first due to the stiffness of the padding around the laptop compartment. This relaxes after awhile and it becomes more stable sitting upright. Not a "patrol" briefcase but does hold a laptop, two portables, a couple folios, and odd gadgets with no problem.
ProsTough and high quality construction. Lots of compartments and pockets.
ConsObvious "tactical" appearance. Tends to identify you as LEO, military, contractor, whatever. Could be toned down a little. I could do without the velcro ID patch on the exterior flap and I cut off the "Blackhawk" stitched label on the same flap. If you are careful it comes off fine with no sign it was there.

Well made with small design flaws
Received the item promptly after ordering it. First impression was very good. This is not the first product I purchased from Blackhawk so I knew their products are well made and this was not an exception. However, I did compared it to the bag its replacing which is also from Black hawk and noticed a few little things. The strap its not as thick as the previous one and the rings it attaches to are made out of plastic and not metal like the ones from my old bag. The zipper part for the main computer compartment its kind of obstructed by the plastic rings for the strap. I love the front pockets, the ease in which the bag opens when unlatching the buckles and the overall size. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase and will recommend it to anybody who is looking for a good looking, sturdy and durable bag for either patrol work or traveling abroad.
    ProsSpace and construction.
ConsSubstitution of plastic for metal rings.

does it have rigid dividers or walls to hold documents without bending or damaging?

I pulled this item out to check it out and the main compartment does not have walls to hold documents. However, behind the handle is what looks to be a weather proof zipper, and inside there are 2 velcro divides. This compartment is sandwiched between the back of the bag, which is rigid and behind the main compartment which is semi rigid. Would be a great place to place a concealed weapon with a modular holster as well. So to answer your question, i would say yes, there is a compartment that you should be able to hold your documents in without them bending or becoming damaged.

Regarding the BlackHawk Advanced Tactical Briefcase: This is probably a silly question: This case does hold a standard laptop computer, does it not?

The main pocket is about 13”L x 16”W x 5”D in size so as long as your laptop is within these measurements then yes it would hold your laptop.
