Handy and functional
Living in a very rural area these trauma paks with QuikClot become very valuable. It takes an hour or more for an ambulance to reach most of the county so being able to stop bleeding is critical to survival. I have a well stocked med kit in each rig and add a couple of these to each rig and go bag just in case. We have a lot of crusty old mountain men with chainsaws and axes up here. I try to get them to have one of these trauma Paks in their glove box.
ProsHandy, functional and inexpensive.

HOPE IT'S NEVER NEEDED!
I certainly hope this is never needed, but I got this "just in case" I have to perform self or buddy aid. I think it has the right balance of items in a small package that can be carried in a cargo pocket if needed. Mine will be in my "go" bag along with a tourniquet. Great for LEO's or hunters in the back country. You just never know...
ProsContains QuikClot! Small size.
ConsCan't think of any...

Good product, good value
Had to use in first month for stabing injury. Compress was enough to stop bleeding until ambulance got there. Only thing wrong was the ziplock strip pulled loose from bag so could not reclose. No big deal and not a problem with the contents. Put back inside of another clear ziplock bag. Will order another to put in with my hunting gear.
Proscompact, lightweight, value.

Used this kit to treat a substantial neck wound. The quick clot sponge worked great and may have saved a life. The pack was easy to open even though it was sealed. The contents are clearly labeled and the directions are simple and easy to read. This product worked. I will be buying another to replace the one I used.

Excellent trauma Pak
Another great product offered by LA Police Gear, we add these to our GO-BAGS that we have for sale in our store and our customers eat them up.

ADVENTURE MED KIT
Please note, I've not had to use or even open this kit. While it fits in a cargo pocket, I don't often wear cargo pockets on duty. It mainly resides in a beat pack in the patrol car. It's comforting having the necessary trauma gear available on scene.

Really good to have, "just in case"
We supply these to our crews working remotely (EMT response greater than 15 minutes). Our employees like the ease of use.

After surfing around I found this kit, which seemed like a steal. I watched the video and was even more impressed with it's contents and seeming versatility. I ordered one and upon its arrival discovered that the "Trauma Pak" and the "Trauma Pak Pro"--though included in the same video--are two different items. I cleared out my Trauma Pak to find no SWAT tourniquet. Upon more intensive investigation of the LAPG website, I ordered the wrong one. Nobody's fault but my own. However, I am still pleased with the Trauma Pak regardless of its contents. Thanks!

Great add-on for the value
This is far from a stand-alone med kit, but I combined it with the "Elite First Aid Tactical Trauma Kit" and a CPR mask, and got very close to what I was looking for in an on-duty/trunk-stowed kit for a SHTF type of day. I still have a few more things to add, but the price of this kit is what enticed me to add it to the mix. Note, everything inside the bag is sealed as well, which is what I was hoping for; I opened the pouch, put the contents (and that other kit's contents) in a new bag, and folded the pouch flat (empty). It's a heavy re-sealable pouch, and I'll use it for medical or other waste if necessary.
ProsYou cannot go wrong with Quik Clot, or the price.
ConsIt's not a true stand-alone pack, but rather one step that should really be added to another pack that covers several steps of care, from bumps to bullet holes.

Is the Quick Clot that comes with this kit the 2nd generation or the original? I only ask because the original had problems overheating sometimes and could burn you.
Its not the powder. Its like a chitosan bandage.

What's in it? A full contents inventory would be appreciated.
This kit includes trauma pads, sterile gauze, wraps and duct tape to secure dressings or improvise a seal for a sucking chest wound, non-latex gloves and bio-hazard disposal bag, and an instructional sheet with information on how to quickly diagnose and treat wounds. That is all the information we can get from the manufacturer.
