I have training in TCCC. However I don't have experience with these. I like the concept, and they look fairly easy to use. I hope to get some training with them.

A Necessity not a Luxury
In an emergency situation, in urban America, an ambulance is only minutes away. Unfortunately, seconds are the issue. There is no excuse for anyone to not have one of these Emergency Bandage kits in each of their vehicles or backpack. The ability to stop bleeding is a MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH.
ConsRequires an awareness of how to use it.

Israeli Medical Bandages 6"
I have never had to use this product in a real life situation. I watched several videos on how to use them and it appears that they are not difficult to use. I bought two of them to add to a lumberjack first aid kit.
ProsEase of use and design

Israeli Medical Bandage has universal appeal
Fortunately, I have yet to use these items. I was impressed with their possibilities and their use through a training where we were allowed to practice with them. As a first responder in an isolated community, I like the fact that they have multiple uses and fasten more securely than other bandages.

Where is the Bandage made?
According to our supplier of this item - "All of The Emergency Bandages a/k/a Israeli Bandages are made in Israel." Makes sense right? Don't feel bad, i spent 5 yrs as a Navy Corpsman for the Marines and I never once thought that these were actually made in Israel, always wondered why they named them Israeli Bandages, lol

I've heard these are sometimes packaged in a vacuum sealed pouch, then packaged inside of another vacuum sealed pouch. Is that the case with these?
Yes this item comes in a vacuum sealed bag. This is so the item is sterile when placed against a wound. I have never heard about them being package inside two pouches.

These are wrapped in a sterile inner plastic wrapping which is then vacuum sealed in the outer green pouch. The inner plastic can double as an emergency chest seal.

expiration dates? are the bandages useful after they've expired
These Israeli Medical Bandages have a "shelf life" of 5 years. We have a few in stock that will expire in 9/17, but we got a shipment in recently so those will be good until 2018. The bandages will still be useful after the expiration date. The bandages have expiration dates because that is how long the company is willing to guarantee that the bandages stay sterile, assuming the packaging is still vacuum sealed.
