    Customer Review:

    Incredible comfort, fit and value
"Make no mistake, these pants were disigned and manufactured for rough performance. However, they are surprisingly reasonable in price given the materials and features. Like others, I wear them at home or hiking because they are so comfortable. It is not an overstatement to say that when wearing these pants, it is like wearing a layer of armor. An operator need not worry about tearing the during rough duty. Two points: first, use the size chart to get your correct size the first time. The size chart is spot on. Also, this is heavy duty clothing - so in hot weather, there is no getting around the fact that you will be hot. The good news is the flip side - really keep you warm and dry."

    Money well spent
Had a pair of tan for three years. My dept got new uniforms and the new pants did not fit right. I ordered these in dark navy knowing how they already fit. The pockets were laid out the same and no one can tell I'm wearing different pants. Worth every penny.

Comfortable pants. Lots of cargo options. Just cut the stupid straps off the bottom of the pants. I have two pairs that are over 5 years old and I they're just starting to fade. Picked up four more pair this year. Love these pants.
ProsDurable, stain resistant, comfortable, and great cargo options.

    Perfect for CDCR
My husband buys these for CDCR. He won't get any other style or brand. He says they are comfortable and allow him to do his job as needed. They last forever and never wear out in the crotch area like many of the CDCR jumpsuits do. He's 6'2", 230lbs and buys the XL and it fits him perfect.
    ProsLong lasting and comfortable

    Not for ADC
Great pants for the price but be advised Sierra brown in more of an olive brown. I originally bought these thinking they would work for state corrections but they are not brown. They will be good yard work pants though!

    5.11 TDU
These pants fit well, are well-constructed of durable nylon. I appreciate the Teflon finish in that it does repel water and stains. I like the self-adjusting waist band. These pants look good with my Cabela's Safari shirts, of which I have several in different colors. If I could afford it, I would only wear 5.11s.

a medium regular should fit just fine according to 5.11's size charts as well these do have a brass button tac and should not have an issue at all with falling zippers.

I'm 6' 4" and 320lbs. 40 inch waist. 34 inseam. I wear the TDU in size XL AND have comfortable room in the thighs. I did put on a few pounds over the holiday and picked up a pair in XXL. They are WAY too baggy. Follow size chart for waist and inseam and you'll have a very well fitting pant that will last for a long time and wont't fade!

They do and I cut them out since I don't ever blouse my pant legs. Just pull all the slack out and cut the ties close to the pant leg if you aren't crazy about hanging/unused ties. You can't even tell they were ever there.

Yes, the TDU Rip-Stop Pants have ankle ties. They are stitched on one side, so they won't get pulled all the way through, and have about 4 inches of the actual tie exposed. I wear them on duty, as a LEO, and off duty (simply because they are so comfortable). Duty pants...I cut the ties off (they tend to interfere with ankle holsters) but the off-duty ones I leave alone. Excellent pants! I probably own 2 dozen pairs. Big 5.11 customer. Totally recommend theses pants...and anything branded 5.11 Tactical.
