Great day or overnight pack
I am 72 years old and I have been a outdoors person since I have been old enough to walk, so I know what it takes to make a good piece of equipment. I bought this pack for my elk hunt this October and after packing it and adjusted all of the straps and hiking in it a couple of times, I am more than satisfied with this product. It is well built and functions well with its parameters. The only con thing I can say is it has some new type of connectors on some of the strap that are different from the old style push together snap buckles. The jury is still out on this one, I do wish it had the old style. All though the new ones work OK. Only time will tell. Just because it is new and different, doesn't mean it is better. I am a firm believer in the K.I.S.S. principle and if it isn't broken don't fix it. ( are you listing 5:11 )???
ProsGreat 5:11 construction and reliability. Heavy duty material and stitching Good comfort with a full load ( I am 6'4" and 265) The way it is made I am sure it can fit a wide variety of shaps and sizes of people Nice color for outdoor use, I bought the brown Good 1 to 2 day bag or a mid-weight bug out pack to move fast in I especially like the expand-ability of the back part of the bag being able to pull away and stuffing something like a bulky fleece jacket between the two parts of the pack and pulling 2 straps to hold it in place, it make it easy to access the storage & removal of a item.
ConsThe only thing that I can say anything con about, and it is just nick picking, is theses new connectors/buckles in my above review & comment section. I am old fashion and prefer the old slip together buckle style. Who knows, you bight think these new style buckles are the greatest thing since sliced bread????

Does it hold a ballistic helmet as well?
I don't have ballistic helmet, but the back will expand with the straps to hold one. I saw a picture somewhere with such a helmet in this location. I used it to carry a ton of soft gear one time and about 40 to 45 pounds of deer meat another. I am sure helmet will fit in this location. william
