Description

Finally! Someone made some badass boots at a reasonable price!

Super Lightweight!

The boot stands 7 inches off the ground from the sole to the top of the shoe (6” upper). The Valsetz weighs 15.3 ounces which is one of the lightest on the market. This boot is all about lightweight performance and speed.

Our police and military customers had a problem. They needed a boot that was durable and rugged enough to put up with all terrains, but light enough for speed and maneuverability. UA took up the challenge, designing a running-shoe-tactical-boot hybrid. What you get is a boot we are proud to get positive feedback about…from the streets of Chicago to the hills of Afghanistan.

    Super comfortable
Unlike a lot reviews, mine lasted closer to 2 years. I work security and I'm on my feet a lot and walk a lot during my shifts so I was looking for something that felt and fit like a tennis shoe, and this boot did its job in spades! No break in time at all, super lightweight and comfortable right out of thew box. I wasn't expecting it to last as long as it did, considering the reviews I had read on here, and I started second guessing the purchase as soon as I ordered them. But these boots surprised me, and Im super disappointed that they've been discontinued. Now I'll have to move on to something else.
ProsLightweight, comfortable, no break in required

    Happy and Sad
I love this boot and so does my husband. We wear this for work and is better than the RTS brand. This boot has awesome support, holds up better, although not water proof, a little scotch guard and they are water proof, lasts an entire year. I buy two a year for my husband.
ProsThis boot has awesome support, holds up better, although not water proof, a little scotch guard and they are water proof, lasts an entire year. I buy two a year for my husband. The "figure 8" design is sturdy and comfortable. I can wear all day long. I have recommended this boot and all LE I know have bought them.
ConsBeing discontinued. Now I need to find another brand and style. I'm sad. Looks like I have to go with the HAIX.

    After 1 year...
Boots have held up (no tears, holes) but beware...they are not slip resistant AT ALL. You will slip and slide on a bit of water and a hard surface like linoleum, tile, even metal. Rainy days will put you at a disadvantage. Also, if you are looking for a very professional look, this boot does not suit up. After time the edges of leather and rubber that meet the woven surface will appear lighter. The toe obviously cannot be polished and it will show wear and tear noticeably. I wore these in firearms instructor school and I am now shopping for a new pair of boots. They did not protect my toes from a lot of pressure during kneeling and unorthodox positions which leads me to believe if anything heavy dropped on my foot there would be minimal protection. I had another pair of boots from BlackHawk that were excellent under the same conditions (including slip resistant) and are now my primary pair These will be a back up and are very comfortable for an office/admin/classroom training day.
    ProsComfort
ConsWill not protect against slips Not professional looking after time Little protection for toes

    lasted 6 months
They were great boots for the first 6 months. Then the sole began to pull apart. The front webbing tore and you could see my toe. The sides also began to separate. I would say no to the boots again because they only lasted one Texas summer working on the highway.
    Proslightweight thin
Consonly lasted 6 months tore cheaply made

    Good boot--wish they were waterproof
I wear boots until they fall apart. The under armor boot held up for a year. I couldn't ask for more. The boot is worth the price I paid for it.
    Prosgreat ankle support
    ConsNot waterproof-

    Good boots
This is my third pair. Very comfortable, good support. Only bad things I have to say is they wear out in about 10 months and they no longer make them in this style.

Another buyer that is extremely happy with this.
I have been wanting to get this, but was reluctant because I needed a size Wide. But decided to get it finally I the regular size. and it fit perfectly. and walking in it was really comfortable, fit like a glove, a cushiony glove. I am glad I broke down and bought it.
ProsThe material they used for this product, is real great. just because it did feel like a cushiony glove for your feet.
ConsI needed a wide size, I tried out another type of Valsetz, it was a regular sized one. and that one felt constricting, the material was more leather feeling. So my advice do not buy the other type unless it is your real size.

    Lightweight boot
An awesome lightweight boot. Very comfortable. If you have any stability issues they will breakdown and wear out fast. Also the glued seems will come loose. Best run on a pair of these ive had is about 6 months. If they weren't so dam comfortable id switch to another boot.
    ProsComfortable Lightweight
ConsWear out fast Glued seems seperate Show wear in the sole pretty quick Not great for those who need stability

    Great but short life...
Love the boots right out of the box, no break in, good to go day one. I work in corrections and am on my feet on cement 98% of the day for up to 16 hour shifts, feet and knees feel great. Downside is they rip easy in the mesh area and break down fast, 8-9 months tops with every day wear and tear.
Prosready to go day one out of the box
Consdon't last long for the price and the mesh area though breathable rip too easy

I work in rural areas, how do these boots perform in rugged terrain?
    4 Answers
They work great in all terrain. This boot is the best and most comfortable but I have ever put on. No break in period which is very nice, very light weight which is nicer, and an aggressive sole for superior traction. The only down fall I know of if they get wet past the tops of the soles your feet will be soaked. I recommend this boot for all police work.

Hey Pablo I recently purchased these boots and they feel great light, like a running shoe. I work in urban environments, the north east, NJ to be specific. So we don't have much rugged terrain. These boots are very comfortable and light weight.

This boot is as light as a tennis shoe. It's perfect for walking on hard surfaces and saves your feet. This boot is not water proof so it might not be what you are looking for operating in rugged terrain.

I'm a park ranger and also work in the sticks in arizona. I'm around a month in I have nothing but thumbs up on this model UA boots so far. iv burned thru countless pairs of boots when I was in the infantry and nothing comes close to the level of comfort when your on your feet all day that the valsetz offer.other than even after scotch guard there not very water resistant. For me in the ridiculously hot Az weather it's a trade off I'm more than ok with. Other than that so far I couldn't be happier with the valsetz boots. On a side not, I strongly discourage the alegeant model from UA,literally the 6th time I put them the back tore out.UA replaced them without problem. Stick with the valsetz and you should be good.
