    Great Value
I was nervous because they were on sale but I've worn them in the snow & My feet stayed dry for about 3 hours. The fit is good, They're comfortable & don't take forever to break in. Hope the zipper holds out. (only have worn them for 2 weeks now)
ProsThey stay dry for quite a while Great value good for either outside work or inside.

    Good basic boot
Service was great, price was really good, less than same product at other vendors and fast shipping. Boots are comfortable enough, though I have real high arches and it's a chore to get them on with zipper. Better after a couple days of wear and likely will get even easier in time. Had them about a week now and so far so good! Winter's coming so the little bit of insulation will be nice. Probably warm for summer wear.

    Great lasted awhile
These are some great boots I'm actually thinking on getting a replacement pair. I am in search and rescue and these boots have lasted me almost 4 years of hard abuse through the wilderness with many 15 mile days throught the wilderness. The fate of these boots was I didnt do any care for them except shining them regularly so eventually the leather ended up cracking all over the bending points near the toe of the boot also the rubber on the sole of the boots ended up dry rotting and cracking allowing any water on the ground to soak right In as far as the waterproof was before was really not too bad stepping in quick puddles really wasn't too bad and being in Michigan they faired up to snow great the zipper still works great I have never had any problems with it they really are a pretty sharp looking pair of boots and if you treat them well they will last you forever
ProsZipper Warm in winter but not too warm in summer Comfortable Leather shines fine Tread is great
ConsAfter 3 years leather started cracking Rubber on sole started cracking after 4 years

    Truspec 4050 Zipper Tactical Boot
This boot fit well from the start. A two hour break in and then fit like it was molded for my foot. It is nice and comfortable and easy on and off. Yes, I would say this boot is well worth it.
ProsThe zipper is nice for quick donning and doffing. Looks nice and comfotable. No scuffing

    Great Boot for the price
The boots did not get much of a break in time before i put them to the test. A couple of 12 hour days on my feet.At the end of each day ,I still had a smile on my face.

You get what you pay for
I purchased these boots when I started working at my new security. I didn't do a whole lot of walking around either. Mostly just camera monitoring. After about 4 months, they started falling apart... on the inside. At first they just started squeaking whenever I walked. Then the insole practically disintegrated to the point where the piece of metal in the arch started poking my feet. I had to remove the insoles and replace them with Dr Scholl's inserts. And the lining inside the boot started to fray really bad. By the time I'd had them for about 6 months, I had to get new ones. Bottom line, if you're not expecting much, then get them. But if you're expecting them to last around a year, get something else.
ProsKept my feet warm Stayed dry Leather stayed in good condition
ConsInsole disintegrated causing the metal insert to poke my feet Inner lining started fraying Squeaked when I walked All between 4 to 6 months

    Great Boot!
This is a great boot. Very comfortable and does its job well. A little wide for my foot but that's my own ordering error. A must have boot for a price great for impulse buys.

Yes, but not immediately. As with many boots you should break them in before heavy use.

To be honest that would depend on your version of long distance. So far the longest I have done is an 8 mile semi-paved trail. The boots were comfortable and stood up to water just fine. What dirt and mud did get on them came off easy. I will say it was an 90 deg day in Georgia, These were a bit hot for that.

I find it comfortable for all day wear while instructing classes, but that is not the same as hiking all day. Personal pereference for hiking would be a lace up only. I'm not aware of any civilian or military boots with zippers that are designed for hiking. That may be a clue. Good luck.
