Surefire X300U-A LED Handgun Light
SKU #: SF-X300U-A
The powerful and versatile SureFire X300 Ultra WeaponLight for handguns and long guns features a high-performance LED that generates 600 lumens of stunning white light focused by a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to produce a tight beam with extended reach and significant surround light for peripheral vision. The virtually indestructible and highly efficient LED generates tactical-level light—more than enough to overwhelm an aggressor's dark-adapted vision—for 1.5 hours per set of batteries.
Activating the X300 Ultra is done via ambidextrous switching located at the rear of body, providing one-finger control — press the switch on either side for momentary-on activation, flip up or down for constant-on activation.
The X300 Ultra can be attached to a pistol or a long gun since its Rail-Lock® system permits rapid attachment to and removal from either Universal or Picatinny rails. Its high-strength aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for superior toughness and is O-ring and gasket sealed to make it weatherproof.
Fits: Handguns and long guns with Picatinny or Universal rails.

I bought this light a few years back and have used it on everything from my Ar15s, AK47 and primarily my Glock 17. I have also owned the Streamlight TLR-1 HL. To be honest the TLR-1 HL was a brighter light and cost almost half the price, I would certainly purchase another one. That being said the Surefire X300 Ultra is built like a tank, the switch lever feels far more durable and well built than the Streamlight TLR-1 did. The brightness on the Surefire was still very comparable to the Streamlight. The mounts that came with the Surefire were also better quality and gave the use two different mounting options - one mount is designed for quick removal on 1913 rails specifically (still worked great with pistols) and the other mount is designed for mounting permanently on pistols. To sum it up if you don' mind spending a little more go with the Surefire. Its sleeker and better constructed.
ProsDurability The mounting systems The light output Lower profile
ConsPrice, Price and Price. Also might be harder to find a light bearing holster because it is not as popular as the Streamlight competition

Bright as all get-out
Bought this thing on a recommendation from a friend who is a local LEO. Once I saw one on his S&W I had to have one! Lights up the entire room the second you hit that switch!
ProsBright as can be! flood the entire room with light!
ConsLittle tough to get on to begin with but once it's on it's ON.
