    best flashlight I've ever owned
I'm in the construction trade and work at night. I keep a light on me all the time. You never really know what a differance it makes to pay for a good flashlight until you finally decided to pay for more than an energizer or maglight. I'm not knocking maglight but they haven't put the money into R and D. The polytack puts out a strong beam. Strong enough that I was able to spotlight a grey fox from 400 feet away. It will eat up batteries when you use it on high almost exclusively. I will shift to not quite as bright high beam when the batteries start to die but that lower setting will give you twice as much time with that lower setting. Putting it simply, super bright 1 hour then not quite as bright for 2 hours. Then it just won't light up. It comes with crappy Duracell batteries but cr123's have become fairly common place now. Get surefires at Lowe's and stream light batteries at military type stores. Love this light. I have 4 of them. But I do buy some batteries. I just get more every time I see them.
ProsBright, durable, light weight. No maintanance except battery changes
ConsEats batteries. Need to use premium batteries for longevity. Not energizer or duricell. Have not tried rechargeable yet.

Excellent high quality light. The light you will get is actually better than advertised. It's 275 lumens with a pocket clip. A real upgrade. I would recommend to anyone.

    Agency issue (for good reason)
After years of dealing with oversized lights, rechargeable lights and expensive lights my agency switched to the PolyTac series. First the standard, then the HD and then the HP. We could not be happier. We have some that have been in regular service for years now and are still working like new. The lumens and the throw on these lights are awesome! And if something goes horribly wrong, which you and I both know happens, they are cheap and easy to replace. Worth every penny and then some.
ProsVery bright, long throw, good battery life, durable
ConsHard to find a good closed holder (we use Bianchi Elite open tops)

    Solid Beam Good Light
I own 2 of these. One was lost last year in the blizzard and another is mounted on my AR15. Great solid beam not much loss of light down range.
    ProsRugged, Bright, Inexpensive

Nice design but quit working after a few months
I like Streamlight. I bought a couple of PolyTacs; one as a duty backup in the work car, one for the bedroom, and a yellow one for the wife. It's a good looking design, good ergonomics, very bright light, seems rugged and all that. Except it stopped working without any accompanying trauma. Sending it it for a warranty claim....will update review later.
    Prosrugged, bright, lightweight

The Best Flashlight I've Ever Owned
My son turned me on to this flashlight and it has proven to be "the best flashlight I've ever owned", and the fact that I am 57 year old, I have owned countless numbers during my life. The C4 LED with 15,000 candela is what first caught my attention, but the CR-123A lithium (10 year shelf life) coupled with its water-proof attributes makes it a fine tool. I bought the black for myself and the yellow for my wife and the lights have proven to be more than we even expected.
Pros15,000 candela with C4 LED. 10 year shelf life on the CR-123A batteries Water proof is a very nice feature

Snip off the clip, file down, and fits the Elzetta ZFH1500 perfectly. I have two, both black, but painted one OD Green and attached to my AR15 in the Elzetta under-the-site post attachment. Looking for a good deal on another Elzetta to attach the 2nd one on my AR10 with Magpul furniture.
