Good for some, but not for everyone
Unless you are careful, the screw-on battery cap can become damaged, rendering the flashlight useless until you duct tape the cap back on. It also runs on 2x hard-to-find and expensive CR123 batteries, so unless the tax payer is buying them for you, be ready to shoulder the cost. Besides those two drawbacks, it's a hearty, multi-function, weatherproof light. Good for military but probably not for militia/preppers. I'm going to give the Gerber Recon a try instead.
ProsDurable (except for the battery cap) Long run time Good for map reading and navigating
ConsBattery cap breaks off easily Uses uncommon batteries Uncomfortable/awkward to hold for long periods

Do you have the Streamlight Sidewinder Model # 14002, with the White, Red, Green, & Blue LEDs? I'm not interested in the models with an IR (Infrared) LED.
    1 Answers
The one with just red, white, blue, and green is the aviation version.
