    Highly recommended. Great light.
Excellent light. Using as my primary and now have my old Stinger DS HPL as my back up light and my original UltraStinger as an emergency light in the patrol bag. It uses the same charger, so I now have one for the car, the bulk locker and home. I work the county areas and it gets pretty dark. I am glad I pulled the trigger and bought this. This light is not so concentrated in the center (more of a flood type beam) , but it lights up everything and is very bright! It is like having a vehicle spot light in your pocket. I ran the batteries down and reverted to the DS the other night, wow what a difference. The only issue I have is the switch feels completely different. Maybe it is just me or maybe it just needs to be broken it, time will tell, other than that, I love it. A couple of my partners have the Pelican light that has around the same brightness. Light patterns were similar but I thought the Streamlight was brighter and I like the handle on my UltraStinger LED better. I carry my light in the SAP pocket on the back of my leg. This handle is longer than my last light and I had to have the pockets sewed up an inch to keep the end of the handle from rubbing on the back of my knee all shift. If you like a larger light and want one of the brightest out there, this should fit the bill, I would highly recommend it. Was back ordered, no fault of LAPG, no one had them in stock. Price was competitive with other retailers. Once I received the shipping notice, It arrived on time and in good shape. I will use LAPG as my go to for future purchases
ProsSuper bright / Uses same charger as my other two lights
ConsBattery life on high / If on high mode, initial use inside a small room can blind you / longer handle, larger light than a lot of lights on the market now (unless your looking for that).

    Buy this, I bought two
I use this light for duty. I like it so much, I bought one for my house. And I was never a flashlight "snob" off-duty before I got this. It works better than the spot light mounted on my vehicle -granted that doesn't give the flashlight enough credit. The distance you can see is amazing. I have dropped it in the rain and in the snow. Not too heavy, but significant enough to be improvised if the need arises. The low setting is sufficient lighting for most needs. I will use high to make initial contact, then down to low for admin. I haven't run the batteries down yet, but I'm pretty conscious of my power setting. Switching between modes is much easier than my backup light, just press and hold the button, and the light will cycle through the power modes -easy. Strobe is just two fast clicks.
ConsThis flashlight ruins you for all other flashlights.

    Streamlight ultrastinger
So first off this light is bright. The literature says it's 1100 lumen for like first minute or two and then is reduced to 974 lumens for next 1.5hrs. Its bright but its not 1100 lumens for very long. I have a streamlight SL-20L rated at 350lumens and when i got it i thought this light is amazing! Well that was 3yrs ago. This ultrastinger is smaller lighter, brighter, and the throw is phenomenal. My new favorite light.
ProsBright great throw those familiar with streamlights SL-20 series will be glad it know its smaller, lighter, BRIGHTER and 1.5x greater throw with better spill and almost the same size head/ reflector. And its a streamlight so you know the quality is top notch
ConsOnly 1100 lumens for first minute or two. Then drops to 974lumens for next 1.5hrs. But stll BRIGHT!!!!

Even better than I was expecting!
I bought this flashlight to mount near the door so my wife and I would always have ready access to something bright enough to investigate anything out of the ordinary around our residence, without getting too close. This really does the trick! This is much brighter than any of my smaller tactical lights. It throws a very tight beam a long ways. I couldn't be happier!

    Great light
This has become my go to big flashlight. It's much lighter than a Maglite or simular. It holds a charge for a decent among of time, but I have drained it before finishing a whole 8hr shift before. It is extremely bright. Brighter than the spotlight on my car. It fits well in both a drop through holder and in an old fashioned Maglite style ring.
    ProsVery bright, light weight.
    ConsNo tail cap switch option.

    Impressive flashlight
Have carried the regular bulb Ultra Stinger for years, great light but this new LED much brighter and whiter light. Very nice having three power/brightness level to select.
ProsExtremely bright and long distance light but also nice on low for close up work. Much longer run time. Built well, comfortable to hold.

    Super bright
Got this to replace my Pelican light as it was getting lost in my SAP pocket due to the size. This light has a super bright beam which is focused for easy illumination of objects extremely far away. Nice that you can kick down the brightness to do things up close where the 1100 lumens is too much.
ProsFits in a SAP pocket easily due to length. Thinner than the old full size Streetlight. Crazy bright.

I have an older polystinger charger. Will that charger work with this light? Older polystinger was not led.
    1 Answers
That may be a better question for Streamlight. Based on what I can see the older charger is not recommended as they just updated their chargers.

Will this fit in a standard D-Cell ring?

This light has a diameter of 1.25". As long as the D-Ring measures the same or a little bigger, than it will fit.

The flared bell will keep it from falling through, but I may be hesitant if it is a leather collar because the button may get depressed. If it is a true "ring" I bet it would work fine, it would just be floppy like all flashlights in a ring holder.

does flash light come with batteries and what size?
    1 Answers
Yes, this flashlight comes with a rechargeable battery which is why there are charger options on the pull down menu. They do have an option to purchase without the charger, but that's typically done by people who already have one. This is the kind of battery it utilizes - 5-cell, 6 Volt Ni-MH sub-C battery, rechargeable up to 1000 times

Will the new Ultra Stinger LED use the same charger(s) and NiMH battery as the older (non-LED) Ultra Stinger uses?
    1 Answers
It will use the same charging cradle as all previous Stinger series flashlights which is the part #: 75100 (standard charging cradle only) and the part #: 75103 (fast charging cradle only). The cords that fit the cradles are the same as well. So if you're looking to save money on chargers and you already own an LED Stinger (regardless of whether it's an Ultra, HL, HP, or HPL with or without DS) then the chargers will already fit and there will be no need to buy it with this one. The Ultra Stinger batteries are the same on the bulb model and new LED models but they are not cross compatible with other non Ultra Stingers. Hope that helps.
