    CORNEA MELTING PERFORMANCE
If you want to harness the power of the sun, this flashlight is for you! I've been a Streamlight customer for probably 15 years (dang I'm old) and looks like I won't be going away anytime soon. This model seems lighter than my previous Stinger LED, which if quality wasn't compromised, is a good thing. I'm pretty sure that under the right weather conditions, one could use the strobe function to communicate with aliens, and/or make a tweeker spontaneously combust.
ProsBRIGHT, Streamlight Quality, Lightweight, Looks Fabulous on a Duty Belt

    Patrol ready
Standard patrol flashlight for our dept. Holds up 10x better than the old 5.11 TRT lights we were using. Shipping & customer service top notch as usual. Note: contrary to Streamlight's documentation, this light is not really compatible with the NiCd "black" batteries the regular DS uses; the batteries become useless in normal patrol car operation with months. Stick with the Streamlight NiMH "green" batteries this HPL comes with for backups. Note: Pay close attention to which model # you order, it changes which charger system you get. Standard 4hr AC/DC piggyback charger kit with extra battery is 75882. Streamlight's product brochure breaks it down very well.
ProsDual switches Multi-level output with strobe Good beam pattern with no chromatic aberrations Aluminum housing
ConsProprietary battery system, no adapter provision for off-the-shelf battery as emergency backup

    Definitely the one you need!
It is bright!! It's perfect for blinding through side view mirrors or looking through tinted windows. Also great for lighting up front and back yards. Lighting up business buildings or anything in its path.
ProsIt's worth the money! No regrets buying the flash light. It lights anything in its path! No regrets.
ConsLight does get kind of warm towards the top if kept on high beam for 10 minutes or more. Other than that it's the best light for LE

    AMAZING FLASHLIGHT
I bought this streamlight couple months ago and its still lights super bright. I couldn't ask for another BETTER flashlight than this one. This streamlight makes night time like if it day time. Super bright. Perfect for long distance. Love using this flashlight on patrol. It goes right through the tints on the vehicles and lights up all the inside. Planning to buy my second one and one for my father.

    Worth It
I have been using Streamlight products for years and for years and this product is worth the money. It is larger than a normal stinger to carry around however for searching it works awesome. The beam pattern is a nice blend of spot and flood.
    ProsBeam pattern, cost, durability, brightness
Consstreamlight's proprietary batteries, would be nice if it could take 18650s but not the end of the world as the chargers are almost everywhere.

Best flashlight I have ever owned
I work in LE, in patrol in a city. This light will illuminate at 1/2 a block away (and beyond) crystal clear yet the beam creates an easy large halo to work within on a T-stop. The light can be dimmed for a search when you safely have a few seconds to dim down. It is not too big or heavy either (anyone that says anything- show them what it can do). Tactical tail switch typically only used for building searches. Feels good in hand for fast, quick easy stunning bright light. Only criticism is lack of a battery back up (i.e.: a holder for CR123) or a recharged spare to pop in. So...Get a replacement battery when you purchase this and a decent holder for your belt (I am using an unrelated open topped nylon baton holder). With the new price reduction- I highly recommend the HPL version of this light. It is that good (I don't work for any company).
Pros- Quality beam for both distance and up close with correct white light colour (no bluish, pink, orange tinges) - Great in hand feel- easily accessed switch for instant on - Does not overheat- designed well - A charge does last an hour+ on full - Comparatively- a very good price - Fast pulsed strobe is sufficiently annoying to be highly useful
Cons- Size may be perceived as large for some Additional (no criticism of the flashlight itself): - You should purchase a second battery for back up - Needs a matching quality holder for duty belt

You get the AC and DC charging cables and this one also came with the spare battery sometimes it does not.

This kit (75882) comes with 1x piggyback charger (75275) which charges the flashlight and a spare battery simultaneously. The kit also contains both a 12v cigarette plug adapter cable AND a 120v wall charger; you would either have to transfer the piggyback unit back and forth or order a spare. Also included is a spare NiMH green battery (75375). NOTE: contrary to what Streamlight says, DO NOT use the black NiCd black batteries in the HPL lights. They do not hold up to constant partial charge/recharge abuse that seems to be SOP here. Use the green battery only. If you are doing a vehicle install, it is cheaper to buy this kit and toss the AC adapter than buy the light and pieces separately. I am not familiar with the charging options listed and have never owned a rechargeable light. What is the difference between the charging options listed with this light? piggyback, AC/DC etc...
    1 Answers
The AC charger would be a standard plug house charger as the DC is a car charger. the other options such as the Piggy back charger have an extra slot for a spare battery as well.

In comparison to the Stinger DS LED HL, is the DS HPL model LED as well? The description does not say if it halogen or LED. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
    1 Answers
These would both be LED model lights. most common lights today are all going LED as they are brighter and the bulb life is much longer.

I have the protac hl light now. I've got a bianchi pouch on my duty belt that works with the protac, but can I use it for this light? It's just an open top light holster that the light just sits in.
    1 Answers
we do apologize but no this light is a bit larger then the protac HL and would not fit in the holster correctly as the holster would be to small for the body of the light.

Which holsters will support this light?

the BI-7326 in size 2 would be the only option we can name at this time that would fit correctly due to the head size of the light. we will look around for other model holster that might be able to fit as well.
