SureFire’s P2X Fury uses a high-efficiency, virtually failure-proof LED to deliver your choice of either 15 or 500 lumens of perfectly focused light, the latter qualifying the Fury as a pocket-sized searchlight. The 15-lumen level is excellent for general work at close-to-medium distances, and also lets you greatly extend the runtime per set of batteries, a valuable option when you're miles from civilization. At either setting the high-strength polymer micro-textured reflector delivers a smooth, comparatively wide beam with a brighter central area and generous peripheral light. The Fury is activated with a click-type tailcap switch: press for momentary-on low, press further to click constant-on low; return to off and press or click on again within two seconds for high. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifications for extreme resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion.

Best midsize flashlight for the $
Gotta say, can't say a single bad thing about the flashlight. For the money there isn't a better light. I have many other brands including fenix and stream light and I always come back to Surefire. The build quality is of the finest available, the light quality it bright white and easily compares at the 600 lumens to other brands claiming 1000 lumens. 10/10 will be buying from surefire and la police gear again.

    Great light!
Although Surefire products are a bit pricey, they make a great product and is money well spent. 600 lumens provides an excellent amount of light with decent battery life. Being a dual output light, the lower light level still provides a good amount of light without being obnoxious with longer battery life. I highly recommend this model for its price and performance!

Great light, but not quite perfect
This light is crazy bright - 500 lumens on high. Looks like the sun. This is my third Surefire (E2D LED Defender and Outdoorsman are my other two). The one item I would like to see on this light is a location to attach a lanyard. That would let me clip it to a harness in the dark. If you drop this thing in the dark and it's turned off, it's very difficult to find since it's black. It also does not have a belt clip.
ProsVery bright. Two light levels are handy - typically don't need full bright for very much.
    ConsNo lanyard hole or clip.

Meets all my expectations and more. Well built, good light spread, excellent light intensity. Works well as weapons light, but would like to try a GX2 - 320 lumens for a more permanent rifle mount ( when la police gear gets these in ). I have always had excellent service from LA Police Gear.
ProsAll the above plus fits well in the pocket or in gear, strong and durable excellent battery use. My regular carry flashlight.

    A searchlight in your pocket!
I use this item everyday as a Security Guard. I like the dual output to have options. The high beam is ridiculous bright and helps show authority. Overall very happy with this product.
Pros500 scorching lumens! Its like holding the sun in your pocket nothing more brighter for the money. I like the dual outputs since I work security having both helps a lot.
ConsBattery life on 500 lumens only last 1.5 hours thou I've been getting about an hour. No pocket clip.

    what's the best flashlight
I own several SF. They are outstanding products. The unsung hero is the 123 battery which has a long shelf life and ow failure rate. You can keep a SF in your car and count on it to work .... even after a year. Their design goals appear to be high quality, small, and light weight. I'd like to see models with more batteries and longer run time..... I'm willing to accept a bigger size and weight as trade-offs. Be careful thinking more is better. High output lights (especially indoors) can be blinding. I'd like to see a 3 output switch. 200 is often more useful than 500.
ProsVery high quality Long shelf life batteries
ConsLimited run time at high output. Overall design philosophy appears to focus on small and light.

    Fantastic Flashlight
I have owned any number of flashlights and found Surefire to be the best. (You do get what you pay for.) That said, the best Surefire I've found is P2X Fury dual output. I bought one for me, told my neighbor about it and she got one. I just bought three others as Christmas presents. The only downside is the batteries don't last too long at the 500 lumens setting, but I always carry spares and this has to be exp[ected when such a small light generates 500 lumens. You can't go wrong with this flashlight!
ProsOutstanding ight output, two light settings, compact and powerful.
ConsBattery life on high setting is only 65 min.

    Amazing Light
This light is a powerhouse! Very solid construction and amazing output for such a small light. It lights up the whole area and the hotspot is very large relative to many surefire lights. You will blind anything you point this thing at and can see clearly out to 100+ yards. I've used it on my rifle and shotgun with no problems I've used this for EDC for about a year, but it is a little big in the pocket, so i'm switching to the EB1 Backup. The dual output was great for battery life and not blinding myself when doing simple tasks. This light will stay in my backpack or truck and go with me anytime I have more than my normal EDC stuff. I highly recommend this light!
ProsSmall for amount of output Super Bright solid construction Large spill for peripheral vision
ConsA little too big for EDC but can be done Batteries die fast on high

    Haven't put it down yet.
This is a solid product. I've had it for two months now and I've taken it with me everywhere. Goes great with your other self defense tools. I use it almost every day on the low setting and the really bright when I need to. I still have not even changed the original batteries. The bright is ultra blinding... 500 Lumens is a lot to shine in someone's (a possible attacker's) face. Small enough to fit in a pocket.
ProsSmall size Very bright Super portable Durable metal frame

Do you have the new version of the fury pro dual output with 600 lumens, and knurled grip, model number P2XC-A 084871323925 in your current stock? or is it the old 500 lumen light?

The one we have on the site that is 600 lumens is located here - It may not be the same that you were referring to because it looks like the model# may be different. If that's not the one, please email with the model # you would like to have added and we'll see if it's still available from there.

Is there a picatinny mount made for the P2X
    1 Answers
We do not carry a picatinny flashlight mount made specifically for the P2X, but we do have some that will fit it. Since the P2X has a 1" body diameter this CAA Mount will fit: and this MFT mount will work also:

What type and quantity of battery does this unit use? And for over $100, even discounted/on sale, why not even a 'basic'/ nylon holster?

This Surefire P2X Fury uses 2 123A batteries. We are not sure why Surefire does not provide holsters for their lights.
