SureFire EB1 Backup Dual-Output LED Flashlight
SKU #: SF-EB1C
The EB1 Backup is an extremely compact dual-output flashlight with a 200-lumen maximum output that can be used as a backup light for patrol officers or a duty light for plainclothes officers. It's also ideal for everyday-carry, self-defense, or outdoor applications. The EB1 features a virtually indestructible LED emitter and a precision Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens, creating a beam with the optimum configuration for both reach and situational awareness.
Click-type switch with tailcap shroud — Partially press tailcap pushbutton for momentary-on high output; press further to click constant-on high. Return to off and press or click again within two seconds for low output. Raised shroud around switch provides extra protection against accidental activation.
Click-type switch without tailcap shroud — Like the original E1B Backup. Partially press tailcap pushbutton for momentary-on high output; press further to click constant-on high. Return to off and press or click again within two seconds for low output. No shroud around switch.
The brilliant 200-lumen high output beam is ideal for identifying threats and overwhelming the sight of adversaries. The 5-lumen low output is perfect for reading a map, checking an ID, or navigating in low light with minimal degradation to your dark-adapted vision. The Backup can run at this level for 40 hours, a valuable feature for outdoor or emergency situations. A tough, lightweight Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum body protects the EB1 Backup’s sophisticated electronics, and its smooth contours minimize clothing snag and pressure points. A two-way clip allows head-up or head-down carry. All EB1 models are available in Black and Silver.

This is the perfect carry light. It is weightless on your belt and is blinding light if needed. Perfect protection. The handiest, most effective flash light ever. With 200 Lumens at the ready, .the only thing better would be the 500 Lumens, but not at all necessary!
ProsHas a clip for easy carry. Meets all needs without effort or clumsy carry.

as good as a china made
Let's get this straight, it's not the Chinese fault for making oulights! It's us Americans that are selfish and high demand! It's us Americans moving across the country to hire cheap labor! It's America people! Wake up! Go do your resource! The reason why we have it done over seas is because you want a fast and cheap light! But again you say the light cost too much? And its made right here in the states? Come on and wake up people! Your proud its made in the USA, but don't want to spend the money for it! Last note: "You pay for what you get!"
ProsMade in USA, but others think different....
ConsPeople think it's price is too high and it's made in the USA! Yet they get the Chinese one and say it's China fault! It's not there fault, it's us Americans! Get that straight!

Surefire quality in great form & function
This is the 5th EB1 (formerly E1B) light I've purchased for myself or others. Tactical version works especially well paired with the Thyrm finger ring, easier draw from pocket and less likely to drop light if you need to use your hands - of course pairing with handgun is the main purpose which it does uniquely well. I' am not LEO or Military and carry this light during business travel as main personal defense tool - gets through customs and can carry on the street in a suit inconspicuously and keep on my hotel night stand. Even executives need a good light; I have had to use it to evacuate upper floor of a NY hotel during a fire. Small enough to also carry in shorts or waste band inconspicuously. The latest version has plenty of lumens for most needs. Anodizing holds up very well. Crenations on front are not overly aggressive so they won't damage fabric during carry. Shrouded (non-tactical) version is good if you are worried about accidental button push and don't want to mess with turning tail cap.
ProsQuality, durability, size, light intensity, selector options (high, low and clicky for non-tactical), dual direction pocket clip
Consprice is high for non-LEO or Military...but I pay it for the reliability. I don't need a Chinese light crapping out and leaving me in the dark.

Excellent EDC Light
I have never been disappointed in a Surefire product, and the EB1 is another example of that high quality. Its small size means that it easily clips into a pants pocket, either bezel up or bezel down. It is easy to use and the 200+ lumens it puts out will light up the other side of the street. It is also durable and water resistant. It is a great choice for every day carry.

Another Great Surefire light
I already have several of its predecessors ( E1B) and ordered this one because of the Tan color. Great functioning, but a little disappointed that Surefire changed the size of the head and tailcap. I like inter-changeability, and the new tailcap is too long to swap with E1Bs and vice versa.

Another great light from SureFire. Has a nice tight hot spot. Be advised, while the head is compatible with previous generation E1 lights, the tail cap is not.

Can you get the tan eb1 click switch with shroud model on backorder or is it sold out for good?
According to Surefire's site, they no longer have that option which is why it is no longer orderable on our site.
