SureFire E2L AA Outdoorsman Dual-Output LED Flashlight
SKU #: SF-E2LAA-A
The E2L AA has a click-type pushbutton tailcap switch — press for momentary on, press until it clicks for constant-on. The switch is also used to select the light output level: press or click for a 5-lumen ultra long-runtime low beam that's perfect for reading a map, performing tasks inside a tent, or navigating around a campsite without degrading your dark-adapted vision. Release and press again within two seconds, or click again within two seconds, for a powerful 115-lumen high beam to reach deep into the dark.
The E2L AA's longer body, compared to the shorter-bodied E1L and E2L Outdoorsman flashlights, is preferred by some for the enhanced grip it provides. Its high-strength steel clip keeps the light securely stowed in a pocket or pack and provides quick and easy hands-free illumination when clipped to a hat brim or bill. Machined from aerospace aluminum and finished with Mil-Spec anodizing for resistance to abrasion and corrosion, the E2L AA is also O-ring and gasket sealed, making it waterproof to a depth of one meter.
Because of its dual-output, extended runtimes, and the fact it can be powered by more readily available AA batteries, the E2L AA is a great choice for outdoor activities, emergency use, and as a disaster/survival kit flashlight.

This is my second Surefire light and will never go back. I am consistently impressed with the feel and performance of both of my Surefire lights every time I use them. When I need to use this light I know that it will work perfectly. If it doesn't for some reason I know Surefire will have my back on it. The craftsmanship is simply outstanding on this light. Very good run time with 2 AA batteries which can be found almost anywhere. The output settings are really balanced and perfect for my day to day. The low output is great for getting up in the night without going blind or waking up the "old ball and chain" lol. The higher output is very nice when actually needing a work light or to identify something that goes bump in the night. If you can afford a Surefire I would very strongly recommend them. My days of fighting cheaply made, low cost flashlights are over. I have gone through several of those over the years and have easily spent as much as this one costs without getting even close to the performance and peace of mind. Just my 2 cents.
ProsGreat positive tail cap switch for power on/off Excellent pocket clip Surefire's fantastic warranty and customer service Solid aluminum body and nice weight Big enough to feel good in the hand but small enough to fit in a pocket without being too bulky Supporting American Jobs!!!
ConsNot having one of these in every vehicle Seriously though, not a single complaint.
