Great flash light as expected from a Pelican product. Don't have enough experience yet to rate the dependability but it has the Pelican guarantee.

Great light at a great price
This light is bright and can light up a room....did that the first day I had's a little longer than my hand is wide but still a perfect size to keep in almost any pocket...the ability to recharge while the battery is still in the flashlight is awesome and if for some reason it'll the battery dies and you can't charge it you can also use a double A battery.....the flashlight also has a light indicator to inform you of the batteries charge life.....its sturdy and well built and for 60 it's an easy decision.....light is well worth the $100 msrp
ProsBright , rechargeable, pocket size, light indicator, programmable, comes with a charging cord, sturdy, well designed and built.
    ConsBattery doesn't last forever

    Great backup light
This is a great backup light. Small enough to keep in pocket on opposite side from duty belt light. Bright enough for most situations on patrol and can be program for you needs and wants. Easy and quick to charge at home or in patrol car during the day which is a huge upside. Spare AA battery is easy enough to keep on person just im case. (Great for when you realize you accidentally had it on in your pocket all day. Pop a AA in and you good to go. ) Ive used it to clear houses, car stops, and crime scene searchs at 1am. Hasnt let me down yet.
ProsSmall but powerful Battery is quick and easy to charge Great backup battery option Great light Wouldnt drop if from a roof but its sturdy enough to handle the daily uses and drops of patrol. Price point..if (when) it gets lost or broken beyond use its only $60. No enough to lose sleep over

    great diffused light
Produces a high quality more diffused beam compared to Surefire G2X. The Surefire G2X has a more focused beam that shines further. For general lighting of an area the Pelican is better, to light up a more specific area, the Surefire is better. So I like it enough to keep as a backup/spare light in my wife's car.
    Proshigh quality diffused area light
Consno specific beam or intense area of light

This light is exactly what I was looking for... Bright, rechargeable, can be programmed to work on one mode exclusively, compact carry, good strong clip, charge level indicator to always know my charge status so I never have to worry about deployment of a dead light in a critical situation. I have had numerous lights and this one is absolutely the best so far.

Does this have last mode memory, or do you need to cycle through each mode every time you switch it on/off?

It has a memory, and keeps your settings.

Hello. Each time you turn it on it you need to cycle through the settings to get the one you want. I typically use it on low, unless I'm outside, as bright is very bright. It charges with a cell phone charger which is very handy. Overall I am very happy with the light.

No, it has a rather complicated programming feature the I'd supposed to allow for different settings to be programmed, however, in practice it keeps defaultING to the original sequence. It is the only thing I don't like about it. It turns on and lights when I need iit, so It defaults to the high setting apparently.

the light will not stay on the last setting you need to cycle thru if you want one of the other brightness settings. the light has been great so far. I use it every day at work. it charges fast. the instructions are a not great. I had to use youtube to figure out ho to program it. but once you learn it is easy to do.
