    Almost perfect
I really like this bag but I wish it were just about an inch or two taller and had a couple of extra pockets. They advertise it as "school bag size," but I find it a little smaller than that. It's a good, sturdy overall bag, but if you want to put a portfolio or three ring binder in it, it gets a little tight, height wise. And there are no pen/pencil slots, either, meaning if you don't have something inside the bag to clip them too, you are likely clipping it to one of the mole loops outside. I realize this isn't designed to be a school backpack, but carrying a binder and pencil to a range is not uncommon and the height of this one is just a tad too small. Not impossible... just very tight. These two features, plus maybe a few small pockets for "loose" items (like a wallet), instead of having to purchase additional pouches just would've put it over the top for me and made it five stars... But don't get me wrong! It's a very nice and well built bag. I really like the internal stretch pockets (although if you use them, you definitely aren't getting that binder in) and the nicely lined front pocket. The shock-cord drawstring up front is great for carrying a light jacket or fleece and, of course, the ability to add a hydration system is great for using this as a day pack. My favorite part is the "ambidextrous" features. As a lefty, this is probably the best feature of this bag!!! Overall, I'd probably buy this bag again, but may be swayed by a CamelBak or some other brand that has the other features I mention above.
Pros- Ambidextrous!! (Love this) - Shock-cord drawstring - Expansion ability
Cons- Seems a tad small in height - No small pockets on outside of bag or front pocket... means purchase of additional pouch(es) - If you use elastic pockets on inside of bag for water bottle or other items, no chance of getting a binder in and closing bag. Good for when you probably don't need one (day hike when you don't use full hydration system), but otherwise you'll need an external pouch to attach to the loops.

    MSM Adapt Pack
Found this pack here for the best price around. Really like this for keeping in the truck packed with a light load of essential items. When the pack arrived one of the clips were broken. I contacted LA police Gear and they contacted MSM. I received a new clip and an extra clip within 4 days from MSM. Excellent service and great pack. Highly recommended!

Very adaptable, while concealing tactical. Slight gripe That main compartment should have molle / pals inside to put a pouch or two inside.
    ProsGreat quality for fair price.

    Great EDC Bag
Held up for 2-3 years of my son abusing it for school, now that he's out grown it it will become a get home/emergency bag for my wife. I ordered a new one in OD green for work, it holds everything I need plus some, msm TT admin pouch(1st aid), msm TT compact pouch(small tools pens), cloth towels, 2 small side pockets are good for water bottles or over small things. Front compartment is great for gloves and CC with a large Velcro path for holsters. A nice size Velcro patch on the front top for those of us who like to spend too much money on patches ;D
ProsUSA made Well made Great size for EDC Color selection
    ConsNone for what it is

This is my second Adapt Pack from Milspec Monkey / Tactical Tailor. I own quite a bit of gear Tactical Tailor and this MSM variant of the Removable Operator Pack is no exception to what I've come to expect. Stellar craftsmanship made right here in the Pacific Northwest with attention to detail and excellent materials. I actually purchased the original for my son as a school backpack because he kept tearing the cheapies, and I liked it so much I got a second as a diaper bag for my newborn son. It works really great because it does with the name implies and adapts so well. (Sling or pack conversion is the most useful). Having my buddies Removeable Operator Pack to compare to, I actually prefer the MSM version over the regular TT version as it is 500D cordura (a little lighter but still strong) and has the hook and loop field inside the outer pocket so you can add to it. The outer pocket also has entry on either side which I rather like as well. I also like the way the straps attach directly to the webbing as opposed to the D rings the TT version uses. Small things but I give this pack an A+

    Great Versatile Backpacl
Instead of buying an expensive baby bag we would use and give away, I recommended to my wife that I get a good backpack that we could use for the baby and still have use for when the kids are all grown. So, after a month of research, I decided the MSM Adapt Pack was right for us. We have added some ITS velcro shock cord insert gear holders, a Pelican Strategic hard molle plate (which I cut down to size), and some TAG pouches to the inside of the two compartments, and now it's perfect for our needs for the baby and will be great for whatever else I decide to do with it in the future.
ProsDurable Compact Versatile Less than $100 price point
ConsCould use more internal pockets and loop velcro

    Perfect size
This bag is great!! It's just the right size to carry to work with my EDC items, thermos of coffee, and anything else I need. Plus it converts easily to an off-work, carry-around-town bag with my pistol and other accessories. A little too small to carry my 8.5" 300 Blackout SBR with the Law Folder which I was searching for but it will fit it if you want to break it down. Can't say anything else good about it that others haven't said already. Got the best price ordering here and it's arrived super fast.
ProsSize, quality and price for what you get.

    Great 1 day bag.
The bag is extremely lightweight and perfect for one or maybe even a two day pack. This is not a long term bugout bag, but a bag you could throw in a few essentials for a day or two and a water bladder.

    Light and versatile
I needed a lighter bag, a sling bag to accommodate my bum shoulder and this bag seemed ideal. The video from MilSpec Monkey made it look perfect and the great LA Police Gear price sealed the deal. The bag is big enough for my papers and EDC gear. I can carry my water internally in one of the two bungie pockets and I can expand externally with all the webbing. I can even switch to normal backpack mode if I need. The only thing missing are dividers and small pockets for the small things like flashlight, keys, etc. I love this bag.
ProsLight weight Switch from.backpack to sling Durable 500 denier
ConsNo small organizer pockets or dividers.

Does it come with the hydration system? Is the hydration reservoir system and storm valve included? If not, is there one you recommend that fits with this pack? Thanks, Julia

The does not come with a hydration system. Some of my favorite brands for that are Source, CamelBak, and of course LAPG:

is this backpack waterproof or water resistant or not?
    3 Answers
I believe it is water resistant. The only issue i don't care about the bag is the organisation. There are just two compartments with no subdivide. And in order to sub divide you need to buy the velcro pouches.

I don't think is is waterproof from what i can tell. it dose repel some water, i think if your in a rain storm it will eventually soak through. hope this helps. It's smaller then it looks on the video.

There isn't a waist strap, nor is the backpack large enough to warrant one. This is a fairly small pack, about the size of a school backpack. The MSM guy is a little dude best I can tell.

Is urban foliage the urban or the foliage color choice? Because there is just one tab that says "urban foliage".
    1 Answers
The Urban Foliage would be the one with the Foliage and Black Trim. I checked our ordering system and it looks like we just didn't have the Foliage added to the website. It could be that it was such a long ETA that they removed it from the site until we got some in stock. But it should be orderable by tomorrow now that I brought it to the attention of one of my webmasters. Thanks for pointing this out to us!
