Maxpedition Vulture-2 Backpack 0514
SKU #: MaxP-0514
The Vulture-II™ 3-Day Backpack is designed for hauling lots of gear. Endowed with 2100 cubic inches (34 liters) of carry capacity, 3 generous compartments, and a wide bottom design; this is the backpack to pack it all into. However, like all Maxpedition® bags, size does not infringe on comfort.
The Vulture-II holds true to the Maxpedition ergonomic standard and comes equipped with comfortable back padding, curvaceous backpack straps, concealable chest & waist straps.
The Vulture-II also accommodates up to 100oz/3L hydration reservoir with bi-directional tube port (not included), and has plenty of exterior PALS webbing for attaching Maxpedition pouches and accessories. Great for longer hikes, deployment, or buggin' out.

Plenty of space.
I have yet to field check this thing, but it appears very functional. Plenty of room, good location of inner pockets and enough moly to provide options for mounting whatever gear you want on it.

Nice bag wish it had a laptop holder in main compartment.
Bag is thick and durable. Water brushes off it but takes a while to dry if in a complete downpour The front and middle compartments are good with lots of room. Wish the main compartment had a laptop sleeve built in. The compartment where the water bladder goes hides the waist strap when not needed. I use it for college so it holds all my books 13" laptop in a bag and an ipad.
ProsTough. Very ridged. Big main compartment.
ConsNo laptop sleeve area.

Vulture 2- Durable, if a little overbuilt
Great pack and a solid value. Very solid construction and material. A bit stiff at first. Only suggestion for maxpedition would be to redesign the top latch, as it's a bit in the way and maybe unnecessary. You could probably save additional weight in the backpack straps which are bulky. All in all, satisfied.

Vulture 2 = Maxo-pack
This is the best backpack I've ever owned. Not a backpacking as no there is no frame but also has smaller profile than a backpacking type pack. Used everyday for going on 7 years now and still nothing broken or torn on it. Used hunting, hiking, school, work etc... Thick nylon material, heavy duty zippers and rigid enough but again and can handle a load far greater than comfortable. If you go past 40 pounds it's not gonna be comfortable anymore even though you can probalby use it to hang off of a tree.
