The description says it's optimized for surefire pressure switches. Does that mean that streamlight switches won't fit?

I'm not sure about Streamlight, but the generic switch I had didn't fit. If the Streamlight is a much different length or width than the Surefire one, I'd predict it's a no go.

That's correct. Streamlight switches will not fit into the two switch holders. I bought the kit anyway because it was a good deal to get two pieces of rail. I ended up mounting the switch with some double sided tape that came with the switch kit. It mounts to a MOE rail very securely.

The standard wide-style Streamlight switches with the screw holes on either end will NOT fit. However, Streamlight makes a smaller-profile switch that fits perfectly into the "old-style" Surefire switch cover. I found one at a local store recently and purchased it immediately.
