Description
The popular CONDOR-II Backpack has a medium-sized design, but its surprisingly spacious interior can accommodate over 1350 cubic inches of gear and a 100oz/3L hydration reservoir with b-directional tube port (not included). However, what really makes the Condor II unique is that it's designed with more exterior PALS webbing than any Maxpedition backpack available. Its load bearing capability can be expanded greatly by using TacTie Attachment Straps to interact with a variety of Maxpedition external pouches, pockets, and accessories.

The Condor-II will remain a comfortable carry no matter how much gear you decide to pack or attach, because it's ergonomically designed with padded, curvaceous backpack straps, sternum support, and soft, breathable back padding.

Maxpedition® Backpacks are built for hauling gear and ergonomically designed to never drag you down. Curvaceous, foam-padded double shoulder straps contour to your chest and a sternum suspension belt helps distribute weight evenly throughout your upper body, so you can carry a load without falling behind.

Made with high quality nylon stitching, self-repairing YKK® zippers and a durable water-resistant exterior; Maxpedition Backpacks have multiple compartments and pockets and offer plenty of space for mission essentials, camping gear, hydration reservoirs, laptops, textbooks and CCW.

    Seems well made
New purchase. We will see how it lasts. Seems well made, and fairly heavy duty.

Superb daily and 2-day Pack w/ Expansion options
If I remember correctly from the maxped website, no other of their backpacks has this much expandability options as far as attaching more stuff. Been using this thing for 6 months and it has all the qualities I expect from them : rugged, practical, high quality material, and looks fantastic. This is a mid-size bag so if you are looking for a 3-day pack look into the vulture(?). I have used it for packing my kids things, to patrol duty, to going to the gym---you name it. I have even placed a 25 pound plate from the gym in side the main compartment to do pullups. The surface is also fairly easy to clean. Lots of strap adjustability is a plus. If you want a day pack that will withstand what you throw at it (and don't want to deal with the back issues from long-term "one shoulder" strap bags) this is it. No regrets. Wish I had two.

    Rugged Pack
The Maxpedition Condor-2 is a great pack that appears to be very well constructed and very heavy duty. It has lots of MOLLE webbing which will allow for expansion and addition of pouches/kit, if needed. However, the pack's volume/capacity is a bit smaller than expected. Note that the mannequin shown is estimated at 5'8" and 145lbs, which makes the pack appear a bit larger. I would recommend this pack and would buy it again.

Could a 15" laptop fit in the hydration pocket?
    1 Answers
I measured the space diagonally for that and the measurement that I got for the back hydration pouch was about 18 inches. it's 16 inches in length and 11" in width. I think it will fit, but it may be a tight squeeze.

yes, the waist straps are removable .... I keep mine routed through the bottom straps so that they are out of the way. Best of luck. I recommend the pack, it a good one or two day pack depending on the season warmer weather no problem maybe three day. There is plenty of webbing so you can strap or add on lots to pouches

The sliders to adjust the waist straps are secured directly to the bag, but the waist straps themselves can be entirely removed from the backpack. The crossover strap at the chest can also be entirely removed from the shoulder straps.

No, they are not. But I have mine cinched down rather snugly so that they stay out of the way.
