    Very good bag
Plenty of room and material appears to be durable. My only fault is the dividers are not attached to the bottom of the bag, allowing items to shift from one compartment to the next.

    Great Large Patrol Bag
The bag will fit your everyday patrol items and there is room for snacks and water. The bag fits nicely in the front passenger seat of my 2014 Ford Utility Interceptor.

    Best bag yet
I have tried a few other bags for patrol and this one out does them all. The pockets are great and the divider keeps my stuff in a perfect spot. I would highly recommend this bag to all officers.

    Great bag
The bag has lots of room and works great. The strap came broken but I dont really use it so its not that big a deal. Other than that the bag is great.

    excellent bag
Love this bag. I'm a correction officer and work a lot of doubles. There's many pockets that zip close with an area to keep files too. Lots of room inside to pack 2 shifts worth of food and drinks.

    Excellent Bag for My Purpose
I bought this to sit on the console of my pickup, as an elbow rest and bailout bag. Laying on its side, it serves the first purpose well. It holds everything well, from my gas mileage log to a coupled pair of 30 round 5.56x45 mags, trauma kit, gloves, watch cap, food bars, knife & flashlight, etc. I looked pretty carefully at other available patrol bags, found this to best suit. Lots of outside pockets, well-divided inside space & pockets also. Not stout enough for a combat soldier, but good for my less-intensive use. Very pleased with my purchase.
Prosgood external & internal pocket layout size good for my purpose well made of good materials

Worked out great--definitely will be buying another!
I was looking for a multi-purpose gear bag for camping/rockhunting trips. This bag fits the bill without breaking the bank. Tough, durable material, lots of pockets, nice internal divider. Lots of nice little touches like the pen holder on the top flap, pockets on the underside of the top flap, a tuck-away strap to hold the top flap open while using in camp or on a car seat.
ProsNice selection of pockets without too many fidgety little pockets. The zippers work smoothly and construction of the bag feels durable.
ConsColor selection is limited to coyote, black and OD--I would love to see this bag in foliage, ACU, red or dark blue. I'd also love to see MOLLE on the top panel, or even better the bag with MOLLE on all 4 sides of the bag and both sides of the top... Elasticized bottle pockets won't fit a Nalgene, insulated metal bottle or 40 oz Kleen Kanteen--will fit a 16oz disposable water bottle.

Lapg patrol bag - good quality
Got a great price for the lapg patrol bag. Got tired of lugging around a cluttered stuff backpack. Great quality, stores all my gear. Thanks!
ProsSize Price Construction Zippers Durable strap
ConsWish it came with more removable compartment dividers.

Nice bag, but shipping method was poor.
The bag is great! Plenty of room for gear and paperwork! The only problem I had was the way it was shipped. It was crushed and flattened into a plastic envelope/mailer, and I have had a devil of a time getting it to return to it's rigid form.
    ProsStandard duty bag...Appears good quality.
ConsDon't flatten it. It needs to stay rigid.

Great bag with plenty of pockets. I downsized from a larger duffel bag and this is more convenient. I had things I could do without so it was good to rearrange. The bag has a thin hard plastic piece that folds out covering the bottom. I think this helps it stand up nice and straight in my car. Was able to fit large notepad/ clipboard inside along with my brown bag lunch and extra goodies. Great price.

    Excellent bag but lacking..
The bag is amazing, it's a lifesaver. It makes everything easier when you're on patrol. It's just lacking a few options I wish it had. The dividers are great, I wish they were stiffer tho and weren't so flimsy. I added my own velcro to the top to put identify patches on it. Other than the few cons below the bag is amazing.
ProsLots of Room Just the right size Enough pen and notebook slots Enough slots for everything Doesn't slide around in the car
ConsFlimsy bag Not enough dividers (maybe I'm overly organized) Bottom isn't stiff (no hard bottom piece) Dividers are Flimsy

How well does this bag stand up? This review here says it falls over too easily and isn't stiff enough.
    3 Answers
I only just got it but it seems pretty well made. It's a good size, fits everything I need, but I hang it on my passanger seat head rest, so I can't answer the falling over part.

It's definitely worth the price. As for not being stiff enough, I can agree with that. The inside divider could be built more sturdy for people who store law books and other manuals in their bag. There's plenty of pockets and the organization is good and fits my needs. I haven't had an issue with it falling over. I especially lover the pen pockets on the top flap for easy accessibility. Overall good bag.

The bag is made of similar heavy duty nylon as the LA police gear original bail out bag. It should stand up as the bag came with a bottom stiffener - it should not fall over unless it is loaded top-heavy and only on one side (using the included divider). Quality gear and a good price and big enough to carry the extra/required items needed for duty that original bail out bag lacked, although that is utilized to carry the necessary off-duty items. I have had the original bail out bag(s) for many years and the operator patrol bag should give many years of service as well

Which bag is better quality? This one or the 5.11 Tactical Patrol Gear Bag 59012.
    4 Answers
A buddy of mine has the 5.11 tactical bag and it is very nice for around $50. I went with the LA police gear bag becasue i saved 20 dollars and it is still a great product and serves the same purpose. There is not much of a dofference at all between the two bags. They both are good in my opinion

Will this bag fit well in the front seat of my patrol vehicle bag without getting in the way of things?
    5 Answers
The only thing it got in the way of is my flashlight as I have the charger mounter on the passenger side of my console. I was able to just move things around and make it work. I do have a take home car so I was able to make the modification. Not sure what your situation is. I will tell you I love this bag, lots of room in the main compartment and lots of pockets. I have most of my day to day equipment in it including ticket books, manuals and note books. I really recommend this bag, hope you enjoy it as well.

I use a Pickup with a jump seat. I hook the starap over the head rest and it works fine. The back seat is filled with different bags, The patroll cars I have worked in ... It depends. It would fit in the seat it self fine. But, if you have a large center console you may not like reaching to the far end.

The bag fits with room to spare. The open pocket in the middle when the lid is open is super convenient- i use it to hold my wallet/cell phone for ease of access. I've used it in a Crown Vic and 2012 Explorer without any space issues. Buy with confidence- definitely recommended.
