    Great price and great knife
The price point for this knife was the cheapest I could find pretty much anywhere. Shipped fast also. The knife comes pretty sharp out of the box and is perfect size for an addition to your EDC. I would recommend purchasing a custom kydex sheath though as the one it comes with works but tends to dig into your waist and leg when sitting due to its sharper corners and shape. Other than that it is a great buy.

    Ka-Bar TDI 1480 1481
I received the knife in a timely fashion, packaging undamaged. The knife is very sharp and the right size for concealment. I will be wearing it as a back off knife. You can't beat Ka-Bar.

    Good knife
I really like this knife but holster needs a cut out so you can get a good grip. Without the cutout you need to adjust your grip after pulling the knife. I would also prefer the holster to be a horizontal. The knife is sharp and feels solid as you would expect a Kabar knife to be.
ProsSharp Solid feel Fits my hand nicely
ConsHolster needs a cutout so you can get a good grip without having to readjust your grip Holster needs the option to be a horizontal mount

    Peace of mind
What I like best about the karambit style is that it can be drawn like a gun--use thumb to push on the grooved area and the knife slides right out of the sheath. I have two for myself, one tan and one black, to match clothing, and bought three for gifts.

I read that there's no button hold for the knife, how secure is the sheath that it comes with?
    7 Answers
The sheath is adequate for most situations. Most people upgrade the sheath for a different position. You can set up for left hand draw or right hand draw and that's it. NSR tactical has the best sheath for after market support.

I've had no issues. However, if someone else pulls on it it will come out. It clicks in securely into it's sheath. But there is no retention other than the pressure from the sheath.

I bought three of these recently. One I gave away as a gift; no complaints from giftee. On the other two recently purchased ones, the knife fits snugly in the sheath. It won't fall out if I shake it upside down. The clip fits securely on my pants pocket and won't pull off when I pull the knife. The clip is heavy duty. One that I acquired about two years ago was not as snug in its sheath as the latest ones. I did screw down the clip screws and that helped. When you withdraw the knife, use your thumb to push against the raised ribs to push it out of the sheath--makes for a smooth release and doesn't disturb the clip on your belt or pants.

The sheath holds the knife very well. I put it on my inner belt (behind my duty belt) and I can pull the knife with no problem. It stays put, does not move around, and holds the knife securely.

Does this knife attach to a molle system without issue?
    2 Answers
I attached this item to my magazine pouch on my duty belt. It attached great to that. I did not use it on FLC or other type of molle type vest. With the type of clip it has I wouldn't be concerned with it falling off but probably with it fitting snuggly. It's a great knife. If you want it fully secure you may need to use an additional item to secure it, i.e. Tape, rubber band, paracord

Can you use the knife as a karambit with blade on the bottom? Is it intended to be used like that?

That's the way I use it. I place it so that it's drawn with my off hand, blade pointing down.

I would not consider this a Karambit style knife nor do I believe it was designed with that in mind. Normally a Karambit has a more hooked blade and finger hole or holes with which to spin the blade for different maneuvers. It is designed for a fist or punching style grip and often worn off side to allow you to retrieve it with your support hand to deal with a weapon retention issue or other situation where your primary hand/arm is occupied. I wear this on my support side behind my spare magazine and it is very comfortable and concealable (where legal). I'm not a knife expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. ;)

Are there any state restrictions to carrying this knife consealed?
    2 Answers
We are not sure of the knife laws for each state, and most of the time the laws vary by county. So your best bet would be to contact your local police/sheriff station and ask them what the knife laws are for your area.
