    Great bag
Lots of pockets for everything you might need, very durable. I use this as a small range bag and it has room for everything I need. Wish the main compartment was a little wider but other than that no complaints.

Also excellent flight bag for pilots
    Quality beyond reproach. Works perfectly a pilot flight bag. Lots of pockets to separate hand held radio, maps, lights, EFB's, headset bag, knee board, etc. A friend has the smaller version and it also functions as a flight bag. ;-}

    Initial impressions
I ordered this basically as a mobile tool bag to put tools, multimeter, etc in. It's surprisingly well-designed and well-made... Actually a bit heavy even when empty. So the sturdiness is nice. All sorts of various pockets and compartments and a removable divider. Only issue I see in the future is the fact that a lot of the outer compartments have massive pieces of velcro to hold their flaps closed, yet the velcro is only single-stitched to the bag and flaps. It takes a lot of force to pull apart those huge pieces of velcro so I imagine the stitching will come apart with use. Otherwise, though, this bag is ridiculously well-built for the price.
ProsSeems like you're getting a lot more than you'd expect for the price... Lots of compartments, a stiff removable divider, VERY sturdy (to the point of being heavy) material.
ConsSingle stitching on the huge pieces of velcro on the flaps for the outer compartments probably won't last.

    High Quality, As Expected
Bought the jumbo nail out bag to compliment my standard sized bag I use daily. This one is about 1/3 bigger with many more features/pockets inside. Should fit all of my gear on range days and for travel. This one is rubber/plastic lined for weather resistance.
ProsLarger. More internal organization. High Quality.
ConsA bit heavier. Organized a bit differently than smaller bag (not necessarily a con).

    Fantastic bag
This thing is gonnna last forever. Extremely well made. If there is a thing as too many pockets and places to put things, this this has them. Already had one for the range in black, and needed another for a work bag, papers, computer, keys, lunch, etc., so got it in coyote. This baby is the s#%@! Tough as nails, the drink holders on the side are also perfect. Highly recommend this bag for practically anything. Only negative if there is one from buying this bag is that shipping too over a week. Not the bags fault.
ProsExtremely well made Very functional Lighweight Looks great Cost
ConsIf I have to make one up I'd say, doesn't come in more colors.

    Awesome bag/ computer case
I care 2 computers various pieces of equipment couple mags, multiple tools, radio, water, flashlights, tape, notepads ect. For the past 2.5 years and no damage or threads coming loose. This is a great bag though it in the seat of the cruiser I toss it around in the field no damages to equipment and holds up great. I can't say enough about this bag. For the price it knocks out my HWI and just as good as my 5ll.

    Exactly what I needed
This bag is perfect for a patrol bag. It's not too big and bulky to carry in and out of the office, and it doesn't take up alot of room in the patrol truck. All of the essentials for patrol fit in it. It does need a bit of a break in period but that is to be expected for it to loosen up.

    Great bag
I was anxiously awaiting this bag's arrival. It is very well made & designed. The zippers don't even snag. I was barely able to fit my big trapper keeper inside all of my tools and devices for work in the pockets outside. This eliminates the need for digging through a bag for them. My old cheapo range died so I think I'll order this guy's little brother next. I'm very pleased with the purchase. The only thing I would change is adding grip to the shoulder pad so it doesn't slide off your shoulders.

I actually just ordered this for a similar purpose but to use at work. I haven't received it in the mail so I haven't set it up yet. I think it will work well for my needs but the smaller version of this bag may work better for a personal vehicle. I have the smaller version & you can load it out with a ton of med stuff, there is more than enough room for med equip for 1-2 people. The jumbo bag may be too large for just a one person deal in your car (depending on the amount of equip you want to put in it). Hope that helps, when I get it in the mail I'll have a better.

I bought it to use as a flight bag. I was a paramedic and I think it would work well as a med kit. With all of the various pocket sizes you could carry just about anything. The big compartment has a removable center divider. I took it out. Now have plenty of room for headset bag, water bottle and other stuff. The end pockets would be good to put bags of saline, etc. I think you will be pleased. Now I'm going to have to buy another one. Outstanding bag for the price. The smaller $20 bag would also work as a med kit. I would not hold my headset so I bought the larger one. It's really well made and I expect to be using it many years. Cheers

I purchased this bag as a range/tactical bag. I am very pleased with the amount if compartments and the size if them. This should work well for what you are trying to do. I have had over 1000 rds of ammo as well as 10 at mags and multiple handguns in it at one time and if feels sturdy even with that amount of weight. Cant beat the price. Only draw back for me was that I really wanted more mag slots in the outside as well as inside. Overall product.

I ama currently an auxiliary PO and will be a trooper before going into the air force and being a lawyer for veterans. I am looking for a bag that will not only fit basic needs when i go out there, but to also have enough space for documents or text books that I will need for college. Is this big enough to fit a binder of some sort? also, I am looking to order a bulk amount of these for other officers . is there a way I can get customized name tags to go on the velcro? Are there any discounts for bulk buyers?
    1 Answers
I apologize for the delayed response. These are definitely big enough for a binder. As far as name tapes and doing a bulk order we can certainly do that, the best thing to do is to go through the quotes team: http://www.lapolicegear.com/quote.html And they can let you know what kind of package we can put together for you.

The description shows it's made of 600D Polyester with PVC Coating. I don't know if that is water proof/resistant. I can say I have owned several of these bags for different purposes over the past few years. I wouldn't want to provide a false sense of security - but I have NEVER had an issue of leakage or contents getting wet except through operator failure. You know - me walking through a HEAVY rain with the bag wide open at the top!!! Even having the bag open through normal conditions has never been a problem.

Will the jumbo bag pass as airline carry-on luggage?
    2 Answers
I have 2 of these that I use as all up range bags...the dimensions from the website are "approximately 16" L x 11" H x 6.5" W externally (15" x 10.5" x 6" internally)". I have not flown since my days as an air traffic controller, but I believe that the overheads will allow you to slide a carry-on bag in laying on its side providing that it is not more than 10-12" high. So if these bags are 6.5 across before you stuff them, then I don't see why not. That said, I don't know if current airline carry-on rules or fees will limit or discourage your use of this bag as carry-on luggage.

I don't think I would bill this bag as water resistant per say. It isn't a canvas bag that will soak up water. I imagine it would shed some light to modest rain for a short time. Good from A to B in the rain but not something to really be getting wet.

I just ordered two of these myself. I'm going to try some electrical tape wrapped on the hook. Otherwise some 100 grit sandpaper on the touching surfaces with a dab of that 10 year old Vaseline hiding in your bathroom should do the trick.

DITTO the same problem. I discarded the strap (it's the plastic swivel portion that squeaks LOUDLY when walking with it shouldered). It was so loud I had to cradle it so as not to disturb people just by walking. A Zoll monitor strap with this bag's provided pad "works", but is too short. I may try the bar soap. Mere "suggestions" without solutions don't work. I've tried all the "vaseline, machine oil, silicone, etc..." to no avail.

Hi! How are you doing? I have a question about the Jumbo and the regular size range bags as far as there size comparisons. Is the Jumbo bag noticeably bigger in size by just looking at the 2 bags if they were side by side?how much bigger is the Jumbo bag as far as how many more pockets does it have and how much bigger are the pockets compared to the smaller range bag? I would greatly appreciate any information on this topic. Thanks, Dane Little
    3 Answers
I don't not own both bags but I however own the jumbo and the amount of space and pockets sizes and combinations are impressive compared to most bags if not all the range/gear bags I've seen on the market. I was comparing this bag with a patrol bag and so far this bag is doing its job, I'm still getting the patrol bag to keep in my truck for uniforms and bigger items like boots and such. I've looked at both bags on YouTube. They have some really good reviews for most of the hear sold on this website.

I would say it seems to me to be nearly double the size. When I first got mine I thought it was ludicrously large, but I really like it now. The bag has several pockets, all of which are use able. With the small bag, I felt some of the pockets were more for appearance then actual use. Now I can carry all of what I need, but still have room for things like clothing and such. Hope this helps.

The Jumbo is much bigger. Much. It's the size of a normal briefcase plus lots of outside pockets. Actually that's a good way of thinking about it - a tactical briefcase. The overall design is similar to the regular bailout but with many more pockets inside and out and the pockets are bigger. I used the non-jumbo for about 3 years to carry my 13" Ultrabook and it just barely fit. When it needed replacing I bought the jumbo. My Ultrabook disappears inside the jumbo. While it is a great bag, it is truly just too big for my application. I will keep it, but I have also purchased a new non-jumbo.

No it will not. I just looked at again. It is far too narrow (front to back) to be much more than a tactical case for a laptop computer. Good question though, wished I had asked it.

It's a matter of how much you feel you need in your duty bag. As a reservist (i.e., civilian auxiliary), I kept extra layers with me in my duty bag like a sweater, or rain gear, and a 4-D-cell Maglite. This bag would not be big enough for all I carried. If you travel light, it might work quite well. Do be aware that I think these run a bit smaller than advertised, and the internal divider doesn't secure itself nearly as well to the ends and floor as I feel it should -- so I'm just not using the divider. If it's not big enough as a duty bag, you can probably find other uses for the bag -- an overnight bag, a soft-sided briefcase, a bag for a laptop and assorted notebooks, whatever -- so it's probably worth gambling the $29.99 on it for a duty bag.

i would say no, its easily half the width of even the smallest duty/patrol bags I've seen. Dimension wise it would be more of a heavy duty messenger/laptop bag. I use this one for a range bag.
    Chuck
    on April 27, 2015

An addendum to my earlier reply: access to the contents isn't nearly as convenient as with most duty bags I've seen labelled as such, where the whole top unzips along three sides, the last side acting as a hinge to fold the top back. With this bag, there's just a single zipper down the middle of the top, and top of the bag has to be pushed aside for access to the contents. I'd make sure anything I needed *rapid* access to was either in an outside pocket, or carefully stowed so as to be at the top and in the middle of the main compartment.

Absolutely, It is Big without being too large. Has ample amount of pockets and other storage areas. Out of the box it can hold 4 carbine mags AR-15/M4 or AK 47/74 and still have enough room to carry a 2-3 person basic trauma kit and that is just on the outside pockets. Also the outside pockets have pistol mag pouches etc. Inside has more carbine mag pouches and is large enough to put a laptop easily. Don't hesitate to buy this, it is sturdy, versatile and you will definitely find a use for it if nothing else.

When will this Jumbo bag be available in the "Foliage" color, like the smaller version? That is a great color, and it should be made available for this bag. Thanks.

as of right now we do not have any production plans for this bag in foliage, we will keep this in mind though and possibly look to making this an option for the future.

Would this bag be suitable for storage of a Ops-Core helmet (11"Lx9"Wx6"H) and associated NVG? It would okay if the helmet had to go in on it's side (only 6")

the main compartment of this item is 16" x 5.5" x 13 so it might be a bit small for what you intend to use this for. we do apologize.

I am looking for a patrol bag that is heavy duty and will keep its shape and not sag in. Are the sidings of this bag heavy duty to where the bag will not sag in?
    11 Answers
The bottom of th bag is solid. I keep a laptop, books, a radio, and other items in the bag and it doesn't sag excessively. The aides are strong and keep their shape even under a heavy load using the shoulder strap. Hope this helps

I've had the bag for two weeks. I use it for the academt and it works fine. I've also used it as a range bag. The side pockets save your life. This is awesome for its mone but if you want something bigger I would go with the range bag 5.11 has.

This item is a great bag but it is not hardsided. The bag does stand erect but it takes filling it with your equiptment to keep the sides from flexing inwardly. After 15 years in L. E., I would have used it for patrol duty but I use it as a flight bag now. For the price I think it is a very nice utility bag and has fulfilled my expectations. Hope this helps.

To answer your question, this bag is very sturdy on the sides because of all the pockets that line the outside, and it's actually double layered - it has the pull apart velcro compartments for CCW on both sides. Inside there's a stiffener/divider. I was very surprised at how robust and large the bag is. It's fully "briefcase" sized and will hold anything you want to have with you short term. You can bag up tons of items, carry two weapons, a small laptop or iPad (I have a MacBook 15" that has plenty of room in there) - some notebooks, bottles of energy drink on each side. Inside again, there's netting up the sides that work great for toiletries and such. Seriously, for this price (even at its regular price) this bag is a MUST buy.

Hope I can answer your question. Although I did not buy this bag as a patrol bag I think that with the size and compartments you will be able to use it for your intended purpose. I bought mine for an active shooter bag. I have a rifle plate carrier with plates, IFAK, extra pistol and rifle magazines, as well as other items and fully loaded the bag does not sag. I originally bought the small Bug out bag and ran out of room. LA Police gear knocked it out of the park with this bag. for 30 bucks you will not be disappointed!

No, this is like a soft-sided briefcase. If you put a sandwich inside and stacked something on top, the sandwich would be smashed. That being said, despite being made in China, it is of very robust construction with heavy stitching. There are a lot of pockets and the Velcro is well stitched in to the fabric of the case and pockets. Remember, this is a $20 bag. I've owned more expensive ones that didn't hold up as well.

There is foam padding on the sides and the base of the bag, so the bag does not sag. There is also netted zipper pockets on one side of the interior and 4 pockets for AR Mage (or whatever else you want to stuff in there). The Jumbo Bail Out Bag is roughly twice the size of the Bail Out Bag.

This bag will sag somewhat if it's empty.........that shouldn't really be a concern with this bag if you have items in the side pockets OR interior. The material is heavy duty, does have that "military" look and feel to it....overall....I'm very happy with this bag, particularly at that sale price, it can't be beat!

How can I become a distributor for your supplies. Is there enough space on top of the bag to embroid a logo and name on it?? Thank you.

we do not offer whole sale of our products nor do we offer free shipping to Canada at this time. the bag is able to be embroidered though and does have a Velcro patch panel in which a Velcro name tape can be applied.

Does either one of the bail out bags fit as a "personal bag" on an airplane
    2 Answers
The Jumbo Bailout Bag will probably be too big to carry as a personal bag, but it is still small enough to be a carry on. The normal Bailout Bag is small enough to be used as a personal bag and stored under your seat.

I bring my jumbo bail-out bag on the plane all the time. It passes as a personal item no problem and fits under the seat.

To what extent is this bag water resistant?
    1 Answers
The bag is water resistant to the extent that if it is lightly rained on, the water should not seep in. However, if it is in heavy rain for an extended period of time, the water will soak through.

What's the largest diameter water bottle that will fit the end pockets on both the Regular and Jumbo BOBs? (The 32 oz Nalgene has 3.5" dia.)
    1 Answers
Both the Bailout Bag and Jumbo Bailout bag will hold a bottle with an approximate 3.6" diameter. However, while the bailout bag has a little bit of extra room in the side pouch (about .2"), the Jumbo Bailout Bag has no room and it is a little hard to get into the pocket.

The LAPG-1001 Operator Patrol Bag is bigger overall. Both the LAPG-1001 and LAPG-1119Jumbo are made from 600 Denier Nylon, which comes in handy when put to hard use.
