High Speed Gear Cobra 1.5" Rigger Belt

SKU #: HSGI-COBRA-15
$75.00
Description
This version of our battle proven tactical belt utilizes the proven Cobra buckle on a 1.5” web. The belt is constructed to the same standards as our 1.75” Cobra belt, but is designed for those who need a belt for daily wear around the office or out in the field. This belt's excellent stiffness and rigidity will not allow the weight of holsters and mag pouches to “roll” the belt.

previous reviews HA!
The belt is supposed to be stiff you durp. I have to take off the buckle to thread it through the loops of my pants.... it takes 30 seconds....
ProsStiff for when carrying your gear. Cobra buckle is strongest buckle yet. Turns you in to instant tacticool operator.
ConsNeed to have more in stock. Need to have a drop down option for velcro on the inside of the belt.

Hand-me-down
Belt was obviously a worn return. Instead of a manufacturers tag it came with a little green hand written label attached with kite string. Very "Walmartesque" of you LA Police gear.
ProsSturdy construction. Probably wouldn't roll over on you.
ConsLooping the belt does require removing the buckle. Pricey!

Sizing
If you are in between waist size 38-40, you will want to older the XL belt size. Also note, that some belts come with hook/loop added to the inside of the belt. This is great if being attached to a warbelt but if just using this for every day wear....not needed. The belt is a bit stiffer than expected or compared to say, 5.11 similar belts. A more flexible belt is best for everyday casual wear.
ProsQuality made
ConsColor availability limited, kind of stiff, having to remove buckle to thread on your pants is a bummer but neither of these are truly CONS as it pertains to product quality.

Good Belt but couldn't make it work
First let me say it is a quality item and yet sadly I'll be sending it back. The reason is that the buckle(s) are too fat to thread thru belt loops, holster, and mag pouches. I called the company and they stated that it's required to remove the male buckle before threading thru gear. I had already tried and didn't want to damage it but upon their saying so....It required a butter knife and lots of pushing-pulling to accomplish. Too much work to load gear for this compitition shooter to mess with.
ProsWell built Made in USA
ConsToo hard to work with.

I'm a waist size 31. I plan on using this belt in conjunction with the slim-padded hsgi belt and also by itself with just a holster attached. What size should I get? Thanks!
1 Answers
We would suggest a Medium size.

Will this belt work with the sure grip padded belt? Or do you need to purchase the 1.75 in order to it to work?
1 Answers
You can use a 1.5" wide belt for the Sure Grip padded belt and it looks as though customers have used up to 2" belts for that, so either way you should be good.

Is this the HSGI 1.5" rigger belt with or without internal velcro?
1 Answers
There is no internal velcro on this belt. The only velcro is what you would use to adjust the sizing on the outside of the belt, but will not accommodate an inner belt.

I wear size 34 pants. I like to carry a Glock 19 IWB. You said to a previous person to get a large sized belt to accommodate the IWB. My question is, if I don't carry IWB will the large (36"-38") belt still get down to a 34 inch waist and hold my pants up? Thanks.
1 Answers
if you do not plan on attaching pouches or carrying IWB than you would probably want to stay with a medium as that is for a 32-34 inch waist.

sizes for the belt are based off waist sizes. what ever size waist you were for your pants is the size you will need for the belt.

How much adjustment is built in to this belt? I wear a 34 pants and carry a G19 IWB. I want to make sure I get a belt that will work both as a CCW belt and everyday belt. Thanks.
1 Answers
The large size belt has a 4" strip of hook velcro on the free end of the belt and 12" of loop velcro on the body. This allows at least 4" of belt length adjustment with the velcro fully secured.

I'm not sure what size to order for this belt? I wear a 36" pant and measured my waist through my pant loops at 39" and my belt where I wear it is 39". So do I order the large at 36"-38" or extra large at 40-42" according to how these belts fit?
1 Answers
we would recommend the large as that should fit you just fine.
