Best LE work boot I've had
Very comfortable! Extremely padded inside and supportive. Great traction and flexibility. By far the MOST comfortable I've had in 20 years. A bit snug as you put them on through the upper, but that loosens over a couple months. I had been used to the zipper style before so these were a change. The lacing system is different from what I have ever used before. The laces go through the tongue, but again it just takes some use to figure it out. There are some small plastic tabs mid way up the boot that add a secure/tight loop for lacing. Durable extra padded area on the inside ankle bone for protection and comfort. They fit me true to my standard size of 10.5. I've worn 10.5 in Danners and 5.11.

Performance: So far these boots have treated me very well. The boots are light and comfortable that leave my feet feeling very little fatigue, even after a 16 hour day walking the tiers. The aggressive tread on these boots is great for asphalt, not especially designed for slick concrete and tile like my jail has. It is however pretty resistant to slippage when the floor is freshly mopped. It is not advertised as a slip resistant boot, but they fared better than my Danners did on the slick floors. Construction: The leather takes a nice shine. I wasnt in the military so I dont have the patience to get a mirror shine, but with the little work I did do on them gave them a good shine. My only complaint with the boot is the laces. The sheath surrounding the core of the original lace gave out ~3 months after regular use. I didnt buy new laces for a couple of weeks out of pure laziness, but when I did, I realized that the core of the lace wore a groove into the cinching eyelet. This is very unfortunate because the eyelet is plastic and does not look like it is a replaceable part. I was also concerned with my new laces being too aggressive with the texture also cutting groves into the eyelets, however I was pleased after several weeks of use with the new laces to see no new grooves. Aesthetics: Very good. Its a great looking boot. I get asked at least once a week what kind of boots I am wearing. I've told a bunch of people and even wrote down what they were and where I bought them. I hope I am able to convince a couple of people to take a step in these, and open their eyes to their options outside of Bates and Danners.;

I have had these boots for 3 days now. They are very lightweight!! I was having knee and back pain. That pain is going away. I have never had a boot that feels this good. I will continue to buy Haix boots in the future. Highly recommend this boots.

Air Jordan of boots
These boots are like wearing sneakers. The Haix brand is super high end and these boots are a steal at the price. I have the haix gsg9 boots but these are more comfortable.

True to size. I've only worn them for a week or two, at a job in law enforcement. They seem to be high quality. Good padding and comfort. Great ankle support (I'm an athlete who's had sprains on both ankles in the past). Good looking and they Hilda shine well. So far, so good. Two thumbs up

I'm an LEO...K9 handler and SWAT operator. I'm not a big review guy but I felt compelled to write one for these after receiving them. Just buy looking at them, I could immediately tell that they were a step above the cheaper boots like the 5.11's in terms of constructions and quality of materials. After I tried them on, I was even more impressed. They are super comfortable, almost like a running sneaker, but they are also just as supportive as any other boot I have owned. In my opinion they run true to size. I wear Nike running sneakers....ordered the same size, and these fit perfectly. I'm probably going to buy a few more pairs just to have because I'm not going to want to wear any other boot after having these.

Great boot for a CO
Have only worn them a couple of weeks, but they have been great so far. No break in required. The warranty is as good as it gets, 2 years once registered, and 75$ rebuilds for as long as you have them. Look terrific and feel even better.

good boot, good price
Boots are great and lightweight, boots run a little small though, I need a half a size bigger than what i got. They are great.

This boot fits true to size and feels like a running shoe! I work 12 hour shifts and I am on my feet most of the shift and they are very comfortable. I have not had sore, tired feet or any lower back or knee pain while wearing these boots. I have no regret buying this boot. I have had 5.11, Thorogood, Tactical Research, Rocky, Magnums, New Balance, Ridge Tac, Altama and several others. Haix is by far a more comfortable boot all around.
ProsLight, feels like a running shoe, look great, very comfortable, leather is soft and pliable
ConsA bit pricey, a zipper would be nice

Hi in reference to the size question again, I wear a size 10 in 5.11 ATAC's. I just was hoping somebody who has worn both this boot and the 5.11's give an opinion on the size comparisons between the two.
Sure, i'll check with others who have purchased this for you and see if they have any feedback regarding sizing for you. I was able to find a sizing guide that you can print out as well for Haix located here - http://www.cesta.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Haix-Measuring-Tool.pdf

I have worn both boots and for me they seem to be true to size

I have a 5.11 boot which is an 11. My haix's are 10.5 but they are a little snug. If you have wider feet stick with the same size as 5.11.

I owned a pair of 5.11's also, the sizing is the same. The Haix are more comfortable and keep my feet dryer Than the 5.11's.

I wear 5.11 tactile and these interchangeable both are the same size and i personally will say buy the same size for both. There is a little more room with haix but not enough to go down a size

I found both boots are similar in sizes. If it helps, I ordered the haix boot in the same size as my Nike sneakers. And just a warning, it will take approximately a week for the boots to break in depending on how long you wear them each day. I have been very satisfied with my pair. Have had them for 9 months with zero issues. Hope this helps

I normally wear a size 10.5 in most Nike shoes. I found that the Haix 10.5s were a little big for me, enough for me to only wear them a couple of times and then sell them to a coworker who wears an 11. I will be buying the size 10s soon. I hope this helps.

How does the size run for these boots. I normally wear and 11.5 regular in Tactical Research and Bates but a 11.5 wide in Danner. Also do they run wide, narrow, or normal? I am just curious on what size I should order?
I would say they are a little narrow. I wear 11.5 but went with the 12's. I like them
on May 21, 2015
For me, the size ran true. You should be ok ordering the same size boot as others. FYI..the lacing system is a lot different than other boots. Once u get it set all u have to do is untie and pull the tough to loosen the laces.

Hi Do you have the latest version of these boots??Not the ones with the leather ankle protection but the ones like in the foto sent you..
we do not carry these boots in stock at our warehouse but instead have these shipped to you directly from the manufacture. as long as Haix has fully released the new updated model that is what would be sent out by the manufacture.
on October 20, 2014
Just got these (12-11-14) and they have the updated ankle protector like the ones on the Haix website.
