Best Range Bag To Date
No more lugging and carrying numerous range bags to go shooting. This backpack will hold all my equipment and when I have to move to another discipline it all goes with me on my back with hands free for any long gun I need. Great quality, this backpack is built to last!
ProsQuality of build. Lots of space. Hand guns in protective cases.
ConsMay get too heavy if you use all the available space. Not made for large hand guns.

Finally the one I can use
I have purchased other bags over the years only to wish they had something that was not included. This bag has it all and I am very pleased with it. The individual handgun bags are the nicest feature for those of us that can transport firearms without a locked hard case. Plenty of room or my gear.
ProsIndividual hand gun cases

Not Made for Large Frame Handguns
Arrived within 2 weeks of order, shipped in an oversized plastic bag which had scuff rips allowing rain to get inside of packaging. The package was left at the door and it was pouring rain. Glad there was also an inner bag to protect the merchandise. Saved about $14 from lowest Amazon price, so price was the best I found on the internet. Bag is just "OK".
ProsAppears to be well made, many pockets for gear
ConsCases don't really fit large frame handguns over 4", Lock hooks on handgun storage area too small to accommodate better quality locks, waist strap not useful, shoulder straps good for a smaller person but too close for a person of larger build.

So I've used this bag at one match and ranger trip so far. Overall works great. I have 2 problems with this bag. First the the 3 pistol holders are too small. I have a g34 that barely fits in and is a pain to get the gun out. Useless to me. I am using it to hold my mags. Luckily I had a pistol bag that fits in the area. It's pretty tight with 2 guns and the provided pistol holder. Even if they made it just one inch bigger. My second gripe are the waist straps. Should have a area to store when not being used. They are just in the way going from stage to stage. A water blader would have been a nice addition as well. I attached a few pouches for some extras and works well.
ProsGreat price a LAPG . And overall nice bag.
ConsPistol cases and guns storage a little to small. 1 or 2 inches would have been a 5 star rating. Also waist straps are bulky when not being used. Should be a storage area for them.

Well made bag
I purchased this bag to be my primary range bag. I shoot USPSA and IDPA and needed a bag that could hold all my shooting gear and practice supplies. This bag is well constructed and heavy duty. It has plenty of pockets. Currently in my bag you will find 500 rounds of 9mm ammo in 50 round boxes. Two pistols with 4 mags each. A third pistol with 2 mags. Hearing protection, a stapler, a roll of target tape, two pens, 1 sharpie, 1 knife, a 25 foot measuring tape, work gloves, 6 mag pouches, 3 holsters, a shot timer, IDPA rule book, USPSA rule book, the tool kit with assorted springs, screws and basic tools and the best part, three 8 inch steel plates. This bag carries all of this and I don't feel like it will fail on me. The only nits I will pick with the bag is the straps. It's a range bag. It's not a hiking bag or bug out bag. You take it from you house, to the car, to the range you carry it around the range if you shoot competitively then you take it to the car and back into the house. Why exactly does it need a waist strap? Answer. It doesn't. I'm considering cutting mine off if I can do it without weakening the structural integrity. Secondly. The space between the shoulder straps is too small. I have a 20 inch neck. Yes it's large, I work out. But the straps are only 4 inches apart. Not comfortable to wear as a backpack when fully loaded. And yeah. It's a backpack. I was hoping I could wear it and ride my motorcycle to some matches. Due to the comfort issue I doubt I'll be able to. It's a great bag other than the straps. I recommend it as a range bag.
ProsWell built. Lots of pockets. Room for all my gear.
ConsThe backpack straps are barely functional for a full sized adult. The waist strap is unnecessary and can't be removed.

Great Bag with lots of features
First off, I would have given this 4.5 stars if that was an option. Construction: This bag is made with heavy duty nylon. The construction and stitching is right up there with any other high end bag, condor, 5.11, maxpedition. The zippers operate well, no binding and they do not feel like they would break. Plenty of molle webbing, compression strap can also hold down a light jacket. The pockets: the 3 gun case on the side is the best feature of this bag. Guns with their mags are ready to go and easy to locate. The thing I would add is a way to label these cases. (looking at the picture) front lower pocket: due to the gun storage this is not a very great place to store stuff, since most things need to be flat. several internal pockets for storing your small parts including a plastic parts organizer. Left lower pocket: this is where i put my cleaning supplies and do wish it was maybe coated to keep any leaks easy to clean up. the pocket is roomy and plenty of space for most of my cleaning gear. Top front pocket: This is a great quick access pouch, I like the ear plug pockets, as I usually keep a pair for a guest who does not have their own ears. Top storage pocket: this is hard to see from any pics, but has a divider that can be removed to allow for one huge pocket. this is a great area to store ammo, the bottom of the pouch is a hard box that encases the gun pocket. There is enough room for plenty of ammo for a day at the range. I loaded 500 rounds of 9mm, a bag of 22 and 4 boxes of 45 with ease. Back left side: two elastic loops for targets Rain fly: this was actually a surprise feature. the rain fly is zipped into a pouch at the very top and easily covers the whole bag. Even fully loaded the pack feels comfortable to wear and carry. Having shot competition for a number of years, I do think this is a great range bag and even a good bag for a day or weekend competitor. Another improvement would be a pouch for a water bottle, but its molle , so add one.
ProsBuilt strong, lots of pockets, rain fly, separated gun cases with mag storage.
Consthe front pockets do not have a lot of room in them, and maybe one pocket could be lined for cleaning supplies.

Perfect - Just what I was looking for
Needed a back to hold enough gear for family trips to the range. This bag is very well built and the perfect size for 2-3 guns, 4 sets of hearing & eye protection, ammo and miscellaneous items. When loaded up (my sons burn through a lot of ammo) the bag easily weighs 70+ pounds but not a problem due to the solid construction. Really like the separate slide out gun bags.
ProsSize, construction, labeled storage areas
ConsA bit pricey but I expect it to last

Awesome range bag
I prefer the backpack style for range bags and this delivers. You can also tell this design of range bag was well thought out!
ProsGreat storage space for multiple guns

Everything you need
This bag has everything you need plus more. I can fit more than one, small pistol in each individual bag. Plus some on the other compartments. So you can really fit up to six or more if you really get creative. Awesome. Only concern is the shoulder straps, seem small for such a big bag, and all the weight your going to add to it. Overall would recommend.
ProsEnough space Enought compartments Many ways to hang stuff on the outside
ConsShoulder straps seem small for weight that's going to be put on it.

Great range backpack, but if you use molle...uncertain
I love this backpack! I just hope it holds up. The main stitching, zippers, and construction seem strong. The tripple stitched molle webbing not so much. First thing I tried to attach broke two sections of thread from the molle. Thats why I gave it a 4 of 5. Never had that issue with a Goruck pack. Other than that, very impressive. Organized well, individual compartments for accessories, cases for 3 pistols. I'd recommend it. Heck, I bought another as a gift.
ProsCompartments, plenty of room Zippers Pistol cases w/room for lots of mags
ConsMolle stitching appears very weak

It even feels tough as nails!!!
First thing I noticed was the weight , empty its heavy. Good material and construction , however like prior mentions: The separate removal able gun compartment don't have the same feel as the rest of the bag and the mag loops seem like they wont hold up for long . Yes the lockable zippers are not a theft prevention , but a deterrent. The pictured tags make organization a breeze , I know I need it.
ProsMaterial , construction, looks B.A. !! , and utility.
ConsRemoval able compartments should match the ruggedness of the rest of the bag.

Are addition Pistol pouches avaiable for this range bag? The three provided would also make ideal storage cases to put into my gun safe so I could swap out the pistols that I wanted to take to the range that day without having to 'relaod' each one for the day trip?
I contacted G-Outdoors and they did confirm that the pistol pouches are available to be sold separately. It may take us a week or two to have it added though as we are in the midst of updating the website design. 06/26/2015

Placed order back in middle of February, still nothing regarding when it will be available. My ? Is, will this bag Ever be available?
We do apologize about the delay on these bags. we are in contact with the manufacture about this item and other GPS tactical products but unfortunately GPS tactical is having a major shipment delay as well due to the port of LA labor strikes. at this the strikes have ended but a major backups have occurred and many ships are simply stuck off shore waiting for a chance to get unloaded. GPS tactical is working to get better ETA's as to when they will be receiving their inventory again but currently it is not expected to arrive till earliest mid to late april. again we do apologize about these extreme delays and we thank you for being patient.

What are the internal dimensions for the individual pistol cases that fit into the bottom compartment? Are they large enough to hold a 6.5" barrel Ruger Blackhawk?
I am not to sure as for specific dimensions, I do have a ruger gp100 with a 4inch barrel and hogue grip and it barley fits. Or shall I say, it's a tight fit.
on February 27, 2015
from San Diego, CA
I would think it would fit. The actual outside dimensions of each pistol case is about: 10.5" x 7" x 2". It might be a little tight, but I would think the 6.5" barrel would fit. My Glock 19 fits with lots of room.
on February 27, 2015
from Glendale, AZ
I don't have it in front of me to measure but I can put a standard 5" 1911 in one but if it had a rail, long slide or optics, it would not fit. I'm fairly certain your Blackhawk wouldn't fit either. I probably plan to use that area for ammo as it is reinforced with some kind of plastic insert. I can still fit larger pistols in standard rugs/cases on top or in another spot. Hope this was helpful.
on February 27, 2015
The internal dims are 11.5 X 6.5 inches
on February 28, 2015
I have a Dan Wesson 357 Magnum with a 6" barrel and it does fit. Not sure about a 6.5" barrel.
on February 28, 2015
from Winter Haven, Florida
The internal dimensions are roughly 10.5"L x 7"W. Ive enclosed pictures of 2 large autos as well as a 4" SW 629 44 magnum. The 629 you will see takes up quite a bit of room so If i had to guess a 6.5" RSB will probably not fit.

Is there any place in this pack for a laptop? If so, what size is the pocket. I don't necessarily need a dedicated laptop area, but even a "main compartment" that could hold one would make this usable for me.
no we do not show that a laptop would fit in here as the main pockets are about half of the bag size which is designed for ammunition and other smaller items. a full size laptop would not fit correctly. we do apologize.

at this time we do show that the manufacture may have a bit of an extended delay which may push the delivery date back just a bit. currently we are expecting our next shipment in the beginning of march now so it may be pushed back an extra week or so.
