    Great knife
Fits great in my hand. Easy to release the blade and close. Blade swings out quickly when you push on the thumb stud.

    AO locks up the knife.
The knife only knife only cost $25 so I was probably expecting too much. The AO frequently locks up and the knife can’t be opened. The work around is to push the closed blade into the knife and release it several times. On several occasions, I have had to repeat the process 4 times just to be able to open knife. If you are looking for a reliable AO knife this one is not it.

    Garbage
Knife was very dull out of the box. Lock to keep blade from opening is extremely hard to lock and unlock. Grip texture is lacking, almost slick in the hands, and the texture stops where it shouldn’t and is just smooth plastic. Very glad I got this as a daily deal and didn’t play full price. Won’t feel so bad throwing it in a drawer and never using it.

I hate to ask the ONE obvious question, but...what is the blade steel?

Generally, Gerber uses 440A and variants so it's a bit soft. Hardness and edge retention isn't going to be great.
