For the price - excellent value
I've bought two of these, one for a Bersa Thunder 380 and one for a Springfield XD90. Each one was perfect once I preconditioned it. First, I rubbed in some boot leather conditioner on the inside and outside and let it soak in for 24 hours. Then, as per the instructions which came with the holster, I pulled the locking flap vertically until it was the correct length to reach the snap. After that, the holster worked perfectly. No, it is not molded and the leather is not thick, so you have to pay attention when re-holstering the pistol. If you are on a budget and want a quality holster, this is a great choce. This is why I rated it 5 stars. I got more than my money's worth. The paddle is secure and easy to put on and take off your pants with a belt (I didn't try it without a belt.) I definitely recommend it.

Great Holster
It took a few days for the holster to break in and the weapon to draw easily but after that it has been great.

This is not a molded leather holster like my other Galco's, it's a soft suede. So it will not hold the pistol safely without being snapped. It was very tight to start with, but once it got broke in it was easy to close the snap. It's very lite, very snug and comfortable and works very well with a sub-compact. Although it's not a CC holster, it conceals very well with an un-tucked shirt or lite jacket. I'd rather have something that did no require the snap, but the choices are limited for my pistol. I would buy it again.

In a tight spot
I bought a FN-PDL480 From FNH for my FNS-40. I would expect some initial tightness, but having tried repeatedly I finally got the FNS into the holster to the point where the trigger guard was nearly bottomed out and the snap was still about 1" from the point at which both sides would meet and snap together. Otherwise it seems well made.

Great holster for the price
A very well built paddle holster. Mine was for a Walther PPK 380. Out of the box, the holster was, as expected, EXTREMELY snug. It took a few days of kneading and stretching to get the fit right. Now that it is fitting well, it gets used almost every day. I like how the holster completely covers the end of the barrel. The paddle is snug on my pants and does not move around at all. Can be comfortably worn with or without a belt. Would definitely recommend this holster for small to medium frame pistols. For large frames, you might want something a little beefier. Would certainly recommend L A Police Gear as well to anyone who asks.

will this fit a springfield armory 45 acp mod 2?

I checked Galco's site and it looks like you would want to select the model #PDL652B for your weapon. Now, their holster finder did ask whether w/viridian or not, which i selected without because I couldn't find that on the spec sheet that I was able to pull up with SpringField armory for your weapon.

I'm looking to buy this holster for a s&w shield 9mm. The ones in my local gun shop seem to be miss labeled and do not fit. So what IS the correct number for this holster?
1 Answers
According to Galco's website the model number you would need is the PDL652B which is for a M&P Shield 9/40 which is for a right hand draw. we do not sell this holster at this time but we will have this added to our site.

I carry a Sig P229. It has night sights and made for a left hander. Law Enforcement Issued. I do not understand what "Rails" on a handgun is. Can I get some info on that. Thanks Eladio

A rail refers to the serrations on the underside of the gun in front of the trigger. They are used for attaching weapon lights or lasers.
