    Awesome pants, awesome price
I bought 2 pairs to try out; bought 3 more and all 5 are going strong. I like these over the basic operator pants because of the lower leg pocket (duh) and the dividers inside the though cargo pockets. Good quality, especially for the price. Keep up the good work LAPG!

Great operator pant. Fits true to size both waist and length. Note: waist has stretch band that stretches to waist size ordered. Great pockets. Very comfortable pant. Lightweight pant in my opinion. Color selection is awesome.

Finally found pants to replace my worn out Woolrichs !
I have trial ordered a number of different pants to replace my worn out Woolrichs. I finally found them with these. I may be 70 but I am still constantly doing something. I need a number of pockets as I carry a weapon, my shield (retired), wallet, medication etc. These pants have pockets to spare. They are comfortable to wear, light weight, and easy to care for.

    Awesome value
Ordered 3 pair. First pair I tried on, the metal button came apart. Other 2 pair have been great with no issues. Took the pair and had the replacement button that came with it sewn on. I will definitely be ordering some more for work and off duty.
ProsAwesome price for what they are. Easily beat my 5.11 taclite pros and half the price.
ConsButton on one of the pants came off. Perhaps go to a sew on button or the snap style that 5.11 uses.

    To tight with ankle holster
Seems like a good pair of pants for the money. Only problems are the legs are to tight to get to an ankle holster with ease. Only other problem is getting your wallet out with a duty belt on, almost impossible! A cell phone pocket that fits a iPhone that you can get to while your sitting would be nice too...
    ProsPrice
ConsHard to get to ankle holster, even harder to get to wallet out of back pockets.

These pants are not baggy in the crotch area. They actually fit snug whenever you wear them above the waist line, where they are supposed to go. If you plan on carrying heavy items on your belt, or in your pockets. I suggest you tighten your belt or wear ''trucker suspenders'' to keep your pants from sliding down your waist and creating that baggy look in the front and back area.

They are, which is one of the things I like about them. I am a fire academy instructor which has me, standing, bending and squatting all day. I have worn this style of pants for years, they last, and meet my needs. All other LA police pants I have tried are good but the operator pants just fit me better. I wear a size 32 jeans, But I buy my Operator pants a size bigger, for me its the comfort of them. ( my wife tells me I look like a bag man in them). I am very active in my job and these operator pants meet my needs. My only negative about them is the Velcro wears out on the pockets in a couple years..... LOL If you have any other questions feel free to contact me, I wear operator pants 6 days a week and have for years and as long as I can get them I will keep buy them.... You can't beat the price of them also. Hope this helps

How high up from the bottom of the pants are the lower leg pockets on size 36x32? I prefer the style of the ACU pants where the pocket is located on the cafe. For these pants, the pocket seems like it is placed much lower which makes the pocket almost unusable. Thank you.

Joshua, I recommend to order one size up (waist). I'm glad you reach out because I have to with 2 customer and we (all three) agree that this pants could be one size too tight. You won't have any problem with legs width or lenght. Tights could be the only issue. For me, one size up just to have enough room for cold weather undergarment. I love this product and will recommend it to anyone who love side pockets.

These pants are better. The belt loops are better spaced ( and more uniform per pair ), and there are more of them which REALLY helps how they feel on you, and the lower leg pockets are the only real difference I have noticed. Both are good pants, but these are EXTRA EXTRA GOOD. :)

The fit is very comfortable. The difference between a jean waist and the waist on these pants is the addition of elastic in certain places. It fits great and allows the waist to give when bending over, etc. I'm going to by additional pairs. It's a great buy!

    1 Answers
If the sales do well enough for these, than we will definitely look into additional colors. It will most likely be 6 months out before any of that occurs, but my understanding is that the Navy color should have been one that we released with the core colors, but we failed to do so. So yes, it's a good possibility, but they still need to wait and see before making a final decision.

These pants fit almost identical to a pair of jeans with one exception. I find the waste to be a bit smaller than a normal pair of jeans. Not a whole size, but a bit tighter. This could be because I typically wear several layers of shirts that are tucked in. Keep this in mind, when in doubt go a size bigger as they have elastic in the band. While they are a tad bit too tight it is not enough to prompt me to return them.

They are pretty close in size and since it is a cotton/polyester blend you don't get nearly as much shrinking.

I feel they fit about the same as blue jeans. I find them very comfortable and love the pockets on them.

I wear a 32-32 in American Eagle blue jeans and the 32 length was too long in these. I ordered a 32 (w) 30 (l) in the Operator pants.

I normally wear 32x32 pant size. But I found I should have gone to 34 in the waist as they are a bit on the tight side. I ordered the shorts version in 34 and they were much more comfortable- however I definitely have to wear a belt to keep them comfortably secure. So if you are a little over one size, like 32.5-33 then i would go with the next size up or if you cc or tuck thick shirts in etc.

Is the lower leg pocket big enough to hold a 30 round magazine? It looks like it on the website but I'd like to know from someone who is currently using them.

Yes, the thirty round mag will fit perfectly in the lower leg pocket. And the Velcro flap fits perfectly over the top without any strain.

It will not fit a 30rd mag. The lower leg pockets are designed to hold light and small items. I usually store my wallet and/or ID in those pockets. Anything heavy will feel uncomfortable due to the natural motion of walking. I store my mags in the inner pocket of the mid cargo pocket.

Depending on the round as for the 5.56 yes but it is a little tight but my 308 round clips will not, it is a little loose around the leg there so it creates a noise hazard, so not sure what your requirement would be, but I utilize the pocket for my gloves as the side pocket easily hold two clips each

Yes it does. Depending on the size of your calf, the Velcro flap may not completely engage, but I have no problem with 30rnd mags staying in place

Does the waist measurement of these pants run large or small? I have a 32" waist, and fit fine in 32" street pants. For 5.11 Taclite and Stryke, though, I wear 30" and it is a perfect fit. Should I try 30 or 32??
