amazing deal, but had to give 4 stars?
So I ordered a tan pair in medium, fit great and realy liked the look. Showed them to a co worker, that really wanted a pair in black. Let him know only a size small was available black but since he is about a foot shorter than me, they should still fit. As soon as the second pair came in, I tried them on...and realized the thumb on the left hand is about an inch shorter than the right! Took a look at the stiching and sure enough, pattern is off and not enough fabric to match right side. Since these suckers retail for about 80.00 msrp and I am gettin them for 10.00, was not a big deal and ordered a third pair hoping another stubby lemon doesn't make its way to my house. I can always cut off the tip n stitch it up. Easy fix!
ProsGreat product quality, unless it is friday at the factory, and they pump out lemons to make quota before they can punch out? Regardless, i don't regret the purchases, i hear chicks dig stubby thumbs!
ConsQuality might depend on color option? Will update review when 3rd pair comes in and quality is confirmed.

    Good gloves
Honestly, my only complaint is I wish I could have gotten them in black xD They have a very firm fit, so if you have larger hands or a problem with tighter fitting gloves, next size up should work better. I personally have no issues with fit or feel. At 80 dollars, the pricing would be alright for a kevlar mesh, but not for nomex. As stands, the pricing is an outrageously good deal. Grip is great and the padding is well placed. Personally, if they had a version without the flare protection,I'd definitely want a set, in black ;D.

    The ultimate grilling gloves?
Other reviews on sizing are accurate; I ordered XXL and they are a comfortable (snug but not tight) fit although I usually am fine in XL glove. I disagree w/ some reviews saying they're a good deal at 9.99 but not at retail price. Nothing's really a good deal at retail these days but you could pay 90 bucks for these and not feel cheated. Gauntlet length Nomex w/ high-quality Pittards goatskin leather top and bottom? Padded fingers? Retention loops? An absolute steal at 9.99, should have bought a spare set. I retired my old Weber grilling mitts, these are now the official grilling gloves and they stand up to close-in action with the best of them. I'm happy....
ProsQuality materials, good workmanship (although that is usually proven over time not out of the box)
    ConsDefinitely run small

    Great gloves
These run small, so I read in the description left by others and so I ordered a Xlarge instead of my normal large size. Yes they fit great and yes it seams they do run small. Great gloves. Order one size larger then yours and should be good to go.
ProsGreat fit and protection, seem durable, flex well, M4 function tested and manipulated well. Mag grip is good, dexterity seems to not be impeded.
ConsRun small , order one size up

    Great gloves!
These gloves are great for winter target shooting, which is what I use them for. They are lightweight and comfortable. Note that they run small. I got extra large and they fit great, but my hands are only slightly larger than average.

Great Gloves for the Closeout Price
Gloves appear to be well designed, and at the closeout pricing, seem to be quite worth it. Unfortunately, these appear to run small; I have a pair of small Mechanix Wear gloves that fit perfectly. I read that the sizing of these gloves are comparable, so I ordered them in small. In my case, however, small was still too small. Luckily I found someone I could give the gloves to. I'll be ordering some in medium to see how they fit.
ProsCloseout price means you pay much less than MSRP.
    ConsRuns small.

    Good buy...
At $22, these were a good buy. Being chinese-made Blackhawks, they're rather snug but loosen up after a few hours of wearing them. At the discount price they're a good deal. At the regular price of $80? Definitely not close to being worth it.
    ProsInexpensive Moderate protection
ConsRegular price ($80) is absurd Always run small in size Will only last 9 months to a year

Quality product BUT advertised as Kevlar when ,in fact, they are Nomex. I already had two pairs of these in Nomex.

    Great product
I received my knew Blackhawk Fury Tac Gloves, I was impressed with their quality and so far have held up to some rigorous use on the job. Only Con is if I had my druthers the Gauntlet would have been a little longer but that is a personal preference. I would recommend these Gloves, they fit well and perform as advertised although I have not tested the Nomex feature

will these provide protection against punctures

No, I don't believe so. They are nomax and fire resistant, but I would err on the side of caution. While great gloves at this price I do not believe they are puncture restant.

They do offer some protection with leather at base of fingers and palm. Gloves aren't entirely covered in leather, so there's a potential for penetration at fabric, inbetween fingers. That being said, these gloves are well constructed and can't beat the closeout price.

If you mean punctures from things like barbwire or ice picks, then I would say no. If you mean from star thistles or or thorns, then I would say they would offer some protection, though only on the palms and leather (goatskin) portion of the fingers. The nomex portion of the glove is primarily for fire protection, and chemical burns. It doesn't have the same protective qualities as kevlar; even kevlar won't prevent punctures from knives and arrows. That said, I love these gloves, they fit very well and are very much worth the price.

They're not puncture rated. The leather palms are better than some sort of woven textile, of course, but it all depends upon what sort of "puncture protection" you're worried about. Battling drug-crazed felons armed with hypodermic needles? Get puncture-rated gloves. They'll run you 4x or more than the sale price on these does tho'.

According to the packaged cardboard backer the material content is 5% Kevlar, 45% goat leather treated with EXOL. Just as aside note, I wear medium gloves and ordered medium. They fit snug and are comfortable. Hope this is useful info...
