Blackhawk Lightweight S/S TacticalShirt
The shirt is a heavyweight for work, but does let air flow through making it cool while wearing.

Pockets, pockets, pockets
It's obviously a well made shirt. The pockets within the pockets of the breast pockets is a bit overboard. I bought the shirt for the pen slots on the sleeve and breast pockets as I like my pen available when I'm sitting in a cockpit.
ProsQuality, pen pockets
ConsPockets with breast pockets.

This will become your favorite shirt
After receiving this shirt I was surprised how well the shirt fit. Due to the nature of my job in the field the multiple pockets enhances my ability to organize my tools and accessories. I was so impressed I decided to buy three more shirts.
ProsGreat fit, stylish and very functional.
ConsThe sleeve pocket is too small to hold my cell phone but the other pockets accommodate this need to my satisfaction.

Great fabric. Love the hidden button down collar. Also really like the zippered pocket inside the left breast pocket. Finally best of all is the zippered horizontal pocket that is low enough that it is below one's waist line. It is a great place to keep credit card or money when traveling in unsafe places. Similarly one can actually fit a thin wallet inside the the zippered breast pocket inside the breast pocket. Five stars is not enough so I am giving this shirt SIX STARS ******! At the closeout price of $17.99, these shirts were a steal which is why I ordered a total of 4 more after getting the first one.
ProsEverything about this shirt is a PRO.
ConsThere are no CONS.

Blackhawk S/S Tac shirt
Well made. Quality fit. Tail is quite long. Would work well when tucked in, too long to wear untucked for concealment

Excellent price on a great shirt
The 1700 shirt from BlackHawk is a great option for a button up short sleeve concealment shirt. The material is lightweight and breathable (the 62% cotton 38% polyester version) and it doesn't scream"TACTICOOL" while wearing it. It does have a small hidden zippered pocket next to the standard chest pocket but it looks like a regular button up shirt. I'm happy with this shirt. My only warning is that the sizing runs large. The large size is more like an XL. This is fine as long as you are wanting a larger size to hide your gear. I can easy conceal my full size M&P and a double mag holder. My only complaint really is, the bottom buttons are not snaps/break away buttons which would help with drawing from concealment. All in all, a great shirt!
ProsLightweight Breathable Not "TACTICOOL" looking
ConsRuns large No breakaway buttons

This shirt is slightly heavy and stiff but looks sharp and seems like it will last. I love how the collar is buttoned down, preventing it from curling. Very professional looking!
ProsGreat quality Professional looking Collar stays Price
ConsFabric is stiff

Do they run true to size? What is the XXL number equivalent? (For example 17 1/2 neck, 35 sleeve)
I just received these and they run pretty true to size. I like a little extra room to cover certain items under the clothing. Some think they run a little large but if you want a shirt that hangs without "printing" this is the shirt. Great value for a durable shirt and shipped really quick. For the price you absolutely can't go wrong... it is a Blackhawk after all. Side note is that for a "lightweight" shirt they are pretty sturdy. Neck size is right on.

I received my 2 shirts today (olive and khaki). I have lost a lot of weight recently and have gone from an XL down to a Medium. The shirts I ordered were Medium sized in the short sleeve version. When I tried them on, I found them to run true to size. They compare in size to other medium shirts that I've purchased lately that are not tactical, namely polos and t-shirts. For the closeout price, it's a great buy. I wear 5.11 TDU shirts and 5.11 TACLITE Pro pants at work; I find the Blackhawk Lightweight pants and shirts to be as ruggedly built, comfortable and have not only more pockets than 5.11, but they are more functional as well.

I ordered this version and the other nearly identical version (this one is billed as "lightweight") I found that this version runs larger. An XL in the "non lightweight" version fits me great (I'm 6'0", 225lbs and broad shouldered) these fit me like a bag, way too much room in the body if your wearing it tucked in. If your going to wear it untucked you could carry a subgun under your shirt and nobody would notice! I normally wear a 17 Neck, 35 Sleeve in a dress shirt.

Do these shirts come with the shoulder epellets? As this would be a uniform, I need the shoulder epellets for the radio mircrophone.....
Actually, it does. Like many quality shirt, it comes with a pair of epaulets, matching buttons, and a badge tab-all in the same fabric/color. Each must to sewn on but that's no big deal. I'm taking two B/H shirts in this week for my tailor to attach the epaulets. Really changes the look of the shirt to the better! Glad to help! 82Skywarrior, retired jumpmaster-82 Airborne Division
