Very happy with every aspect of this product
Received my order in two days from the other end of the country through USPS. Fastest I've ever seen. Saw some reviews that complained about the fit but I have not had any problems. Zipper (not buttons) is sturdy, fabric is lightweight but tough (need that in the hot), ink on the fabric is not superficial and instructions for the ITS feature DID come with the product. You just have to look at the tag on the sleeve. Thank You Blackhawk. Once again, you have earned my business.
ProsVery fast delivery Lightweight Good fit Sturdy components Clear instructions
    ConsHaven't seen one yet.

    I am not an Arab!
I was looking forward to this item to arrive, when it did and I opened it, all the instructions were in Arabic. I have no clue how to utilize the tourniquet system.
ProsIt fits short, but once I find someone from the middle East, they can read the instructions and tell me how to use the tourniquet system, just in case...
ConsWhy would there be only instructions inside in arabic?

    Great quality
The jacket had awesome quality. The front end of it was fairly short so it felt a little awkward but great light shooting jacket nonetheless.

    This is an awesome Shirt
Some say its a little weird on the cut and others say its off here or there, I say this is a well thought out design and and outstanding shirt, almost like a lite jacket. The cut higher in the front allows for access to pockets and other CCW gear and offers an untucked look when on , the longer cut in the back can be tucked allowing this to fit seamlessly into the pants. great design bought 5 of these so far on sale. love them.
ProsFit , cut for tucked and untucked front, zipper up, or down access side pocket on angle and high is perfect for phone or other. Two built in TQ's and overall really comfortable fit. Im 5'11" and 210 lbs and the LG fits just fine.
Consnone that I could find yet , perhaps the operation of the TQ would be a little difficult.

    Great deal!
This is a professional-looking tactical shirt and you can't beat this closeout price. There are tourniquets built into the upper arm pockets which make it difficult to store things in them but it is still a great shirt made with good material.

    Now this is Weird
This is the oddest cut jacket I have ever purchased. Think of it like an army surplus fatigue jacket...but cut as a waist-coat (Ike jacket). Just plain weird. No wonder it was clearance for twenty bucks. I feel sorry those that paid 160 for it. For twenty bucks I'll throw it behind the seat of the truck in case of emergencies. That's about all it's good for in my opinion.

    Outer layer jacket
This is in no way a jacket for cold temperatures but it is a jacket. I do like to have a nice fleece base layer under this jacket and use it more of a windbreaker if anything. Basically like a denim jean jacket
    ProsLooks, durability, fit
ConsYou probably want a base layer under it but that personal preference

    Very rugged shirt/jacket
This is a very rugged shirt/jacket (shirket). I will say the tuxedo cut just feels weird! I understand the point of it, so that you can access stuff on the front of your self flashlights & firearms, but the cut just feels weird to not nave something in front but to have material in the back.
    Prosrugged and very useful.
ConsThe cut will take some getting use to,

This "jacket" is only barely a shirt. Very thin fabric, no lining, and it is still quite hot to wear. The cut is like putting a trash bag on your body, and the I.T.S. system is nothing like the original... it doesn't even work. I guess the real telling thing is that the instruction sheet that came with the "shirt" is written completely in ARABIC, so I guess this was some kind of cheap substitute given to the Iraquis or something. I bought this as a work-around-the-house shirt, but it's not even good for that. Even though it was only 20$ on clearance, I feel ripped off. :-p Just awful.

How "quiet" is this fabric? Is it suitable for hunting which requires fabrics which don't rustle or rasp when you move about - especially moving the arms to draw a bow or something.
    8 Answers
Size runs true. Order the size you wear. Dont up size. Its quiet. No noise when moving. Remember its more of a shirt than jacket. One layer. Its is not warm. I like it. Works under my plate carrier.

I wear this jacket daily to work. Looks sharp and is quiet with great movement of arms. Other jackets bind and restrict movement. Love it but it is more like a bdu. top and not a warmer jacket

The material is pretty soft and quite. While it is louder then the "brushed" fabric of dedicated hunting products, I had no problem using the jacket and pants on a recent bear hunt. For bow hunting, your bow is going to be louder then the jacket.

The fabric is no different than any other cotton mix type clothing. the ITS component does not make any noise or rub against your skin. As a SWAT operator the shirt works well. The tourniquet system hopeful works when and if needed. I have tried in practice situation to deploy the above system and like the concept.

I would think any garment that was not skin tight stretch material will make noise. Being that this is not silky/polyester it does make noise but no more than outer tdu clothes.

It is fairly tigt fighting and stiff nylon. it will break-in with washing and should be suitavle for hunting althoutth i is just a shell and not very warm

Size question I always use Large Long for my ACUs/OCPs Should I get Xlarge because of arm length? Thank you
    2 Answers
I wear an XL Reg typically and ordered a 2x since this was a "jacket" and figured I'd be wearing clothes under. The length of the arms was slightly long but will probably fill out this fall with some clothing underneath. it is slim tailored so it won't have a whole mess of excess fabric to get hung on anything. It's the thinnest jacket I've ever owned so we'll see if it is really a jacket this fall, or an overbuilt shirt. It IS pretty sweet though. For the price, I'd go once size up and If it's too long you can have it altered. Even if altering is $20, you've still saved like $100.

I have the same issue. I got the XL, and the arm length is good while the cut of the jacket keeps it from being a tent. I won't say they run small, but the cut is definitely narrow, so it worked out great for me.

Does this jacket have pockets to put your hands in on the sides
    3 Answers
This is not a jacket in the standard sense of cold weather or rain. It is a BDU style jacket which is tantamount to a long sleeve shirt. The simple answer to your question is no.

Yes. However, they are a little high, and somewhat difficult to use. I probably won't order another one with this cut, I ordered the vest too, and it's the same way.

What is the dimensions for the shoulder velcro?
    3 Answers
On mine, the Velcro on each shoulder sleeve is 3"x1". On the left chest, the top 2 are also 3"x1", while the bottom one, which is the same in the right chest, is 5.25"x1". Hope that helps.

The velcro on the pockets located on the Arm sleeves near the shoulders is the standard 1" height by a length of 3". For those affixed to the chest panels of the jacket, on the left chest area, there are (2) 3"wide strips stacked above a 5" wide piece. Above the right chest pocket, is a single 5" width of velcro. All of these are of the standard 1" height.

Are these jackets water resistant such as a rain jacket?
    7 Answers
They are equivalent to the old BDU blouses; so no.
    on April 4, 2016

No. They are not like a rain jacket. The Multicam version is 50-50 cotton - poly ripstop. Minimal water resistance and certainly not waterproof.
    on April 4, 2016
    from Lake Hughes, CA
No, it's a "jacket" in the same sense as "BDU coat". Most people would be more comfortable calling it a "shirt".
    on April 4, 2016
    from Firestone, CO
No, not really. Water beads and rolls off at first, but a drop that sits for a second then soaks into the material. This is a jacket in terms of the cut and the zipper front, but the material is comparable to heavy duty shirt or pants - like military uniforms.

No, the cotton content of the ITS HPFU does not allow protection from water, the nylon/cotton fabrics are designed to pull moisture from your body while in use in hot desert types of environments. These are essentially sun shirts and are used to cool your body by evaporation

Resistant, yes. Waterproof, no. Water poured on mine will bead up and easily pour off. I would think that after several washes it may start to loose it it's resistance. Hope this helps.

What is the "intergrated tourniquet" system?
    1 Answers
This Blackhawk Shirt has two tourniquets built into the shirt located at the upper arm. In the event a tourniquet is needed, all you would have to do to activate the tourniquet is twist it until the blood flow stops and lock it in place. This would be much faster than having to look for a tourniquet, place it on the injured person then activate it.
