One of the finest uniform garments. The size and fitting is as giving in the Sizing Chart. The ITS system is good, in case u r looking for combat applications. Positioning of the pockets is comfortable. I strongly recommend the product.

Blackhawk HPFU Slick Jacket - 5 Star Winner!
I just bought one of these Blackhawk Slick Jackets (size medium) on closeout sale just 2 weeks ago and wore it around for a couple of days operating heavy equipment and performing construction jobs and realized these jackets were perfect for the jobsite, especially operating equipment. The way the jacket fits but allows you to move it does not get hung up on levers and any other objects that snag a normal work coat. The orignial reason I gave this jacket a shot was I needed something to put my smart phone in either in an upper arm pocket or a heavy duty chest pocket as the waist band smart phone holders are a pain in the ass and I don't dare place the phone in my back pocket. Also, the cut allows for easy access to your front pockets and other items worth packing around these days in a land of the zombies. Having spent 8 years in hostile environments I had grown use to placing items in these upper pocket so you didn't get hung up when entering and exiting blackhawks, humVs and other dodadsyncopaters. Anyway I liked the performance and fit of this jacket so well that I have bought 2 more and they just arrived today. Sorry to see this jacket is being discontinued. May need to grab a couple more if the mediums last much longer... God Bless the American Fighting Spirit and Sense of Justice!!!
ProsThe fit, functionality and versatility are/were well thought out! Kudos to the design team Outstanding quality Great for and old Army guy that loves wearing a uniform Works well in Montana

    Great buy for 20.
It's made well, fits true to size, more of a windbreaker than a jackets. I think there are different layers for this shell.
    ProsPrice, build, design, durability
ConsHard to find the liners for this shell on the website

    Blackhawk Slick Jacket
Very nice jacket and cool design. The LAPD Gear website was the few websites that I found this jacket to be under $100.00 (Black/OD). This jacket is still kinda pricey for being an unlined jacket made in Indonesia but the design is very well thought out, the materials are well put together. The Blackhawk name is probably the most expensive part of the jacket.

    It is not waterproof.

It's a cloth jacket, it may have been treated with some sort of water repellant. But it's DEFFINATELY NOT water proof. Resistant? Possibly

No it is single layer cloth. Similar to a BDU shirt/jacket.

No, basically it's just the top part of a camouflage uniform. Keep in mind that it has an athletic style cut around the waist area. There are nonadjustable elastic tabs permanently sewn into the waist area that give the wearer a very tapered look. So with that in mind, you should be in relatively good shape to wear this. By relatively I mean no beer gut. Otherwise you may find it quite tight around the waist. Now if you are in good shape, this is an excellent top. Very roomy around the shoulders and arms, and the tuxedo cut gives a very trim proffesional appearance without being restrictive.

I do not believe so, it is just one layer of "ripstop" type material.

No, the jacket is similar to a standard BDU style fabric. May be water repellent, but certainly not waterproof.

The original tags never mentioned it being water proof or even water resistant, so I'd say no.

Functionally speaking, it is equivalent to the old BDU blouse.

I'd say it is water repellent, not water proof. Have worn it several times during a light rain.

Does this fit tight like shirt? How are the sizes also im short but stocky 50 inch chest with a 34 waist do they fit true or do u recoment a size bigger?
    1 Answers
This Blackhawk jacket does not fit tight like a shirt, it is a little bit looser. AS for sizing, we have not heard any complaints of these shirts fitting too big or too small.
