    Common Sense Design & Purpose
Got lucky for the price paid for this nice pair of pants. Fits well with my Blackhawk Tac shirts. Common sense design for casual wear, tactical duty and work.

    Great Pants
For the price of these you won't find a better pair of pants. I haved owned or own most of the brands that make this type of pant and these are right up there with the best. I have not experienced any of the color fade issues others described and the sizing has been right for me. Bought the navy 30x32 as that was the only color left. They fit good and are not baggy in the crotch or legs like some other tactical pants I have owned. As for the weight they are described as heavy weight and they are. Great for winter wear.
ProsFit and comfort tons of pockets
ConsNot really a con, but as no one has mentioned the pockets, I will. They are rather small for tactical pants. By that I mean they are not very deep or wide. Most of the tactical pants I own will hold a 7 inch tablet in the cargo pockets. These will not. It will fit but you cant close the flap. The hand pockets are narrow and shallow and I have smaller hands. So if you are looking for huge pockets these aren't it. Still well worth the investment. Just a heads up

    Great tactical pants
Bought these pants for the long wearing material. They are heavy and will stand up for years. Bought 2 pair and then reordered another right away before the low price changed or ran out of my size.

    absolutely stellar
I bought two pairs in slightly different sizing to check out the sizes and figured I'd get more once I knew what size for sure (buying clothes on the internet is always an adventure). Unfortunately they were out of my size almost immediately. Should have bought more. These are, without a doubt, the best pants I've ever owned. I'll buy up as many as I can afford if they get my size back in.
Prosgreat quality, lots of pockets, very comfortable. the cargo pockets with the webbing can hold a Colt concealed carry officer's with no holster. I've never had pants with the zippers pocket on the side of the cargo pocket, but it holds my wallet securely and extremely easy to get out when in a drive through (makes the slant cargo pocket tops seem like a chore).

You won't find better pants at any price
These are sturdy and well made. Pockets galore. I own three pair and would buy another 3 if they had them in my size. The right hand pocket has a small pocket inside for loose change, which fits the barrel of my Glock perfectly, no need for a pocket holster. If LA has them in your size, grab them, for this is a super buy!

    Amazing Unbelievable Quality !
I have had a pair of these pants for a few months now and couldn't be happier with them. They have been washed many many times with no fading. Zippers are strong and reliable. There are even elastic mag straps in the lower cargo pockets ! And there ARE pockets. The velcro is strong, pockets are deep, stealthy intelligent design makes no "swooshing" noise when walking around. I don't understand ANY negative reviews here. Strong material, color retention after multiple washes, look really sharp, extremely functional- and extremely affordable. Also the hidden waistband allows increasing/decreasing of one's girth without neutralizing your wardrobe. You will be very happy.
ProsVersatile, lots of storage, good color retention, durable, comfortable. Plus it has a little bead of rubber piping on the inner part of the pants which keeps your shirt from untucking.
    ConsNegative. There ARE no cons

    Poor Material and HEAVY
The material is extremely heavy and does not breathe. The pants have to be ironed after washing. Sorry, I did my stint and refuse to iron any work or utility pants. In addition, the colour bleeds and fades after about 5 or 6 washing even in cold water setting.
ConsPoor quality all the way around

    Very Long
All in all, the pants are very nice with some nice features.
ProsZippered pockets for good security. Seem to be well made. Can't beat the $20 price. Heavier material suitable for cooler weather.
ConsThe elastic inner waist band makes wearing an IWB Clip-Type holster nearly impossible and would only work with the leather snap type. Just too much material thickness to allow the clip to fit. Ordered 38-32 but the length was more on the order of 34 or 36. Very long. Will wash to see if they shrink but if not will have to have my wife shorten them.

    Better Than Others
First, they are everything I wanted in a set of "utility" pants. They look casual but have all the features of your typical operator pant including more pockets than you will need. The leg pockets are especially nice because of the internal webbing retainers. Best of all for me is that they are not baggy like LAPG operator pants. Loved the LAPG operator pants for the same price but they were seriously baggy.
ProsBuy all you can in your size while you can at this price
    ConsNone yet

    Excellent for cost-efficient operators/instructors.
For 20 bucks you get much more than you pay for. Very Comfortable, If you manage to use and fill every pocket... you bear too much gear. I highly Recommend running them through your washer/dryer prior to fielding. Out of the bag, they are slightly on the heavy side and a tad bit stiff (Based on my comfort level, everybody is different). Doing this softened the pants to excellent comfort levels, as for weight... deal with it (the quality seems to be very rugged/durable - I expect to have very high mileage before any tears or decommissioning damage).
Pros- Too many Pockets - Built Tough - CHEAP - Excellent fitting - Keeps shirt tucked in, very important for those running duty belts/battlebelts - Very Comfortable
Cons- Weight (not a real con, but for some maybe)

im a 29 waist. Im wondering which would be the best 28 or jump to the 30. Will the elastic stretch to the 29? Cant be waling around in baggy 30's!
    1 Answers
I had the 28 waist pulled to check that for you. It's a 28 when relaxed and by my measurement, extends out to about 33". So i think you would be fine ordering that one.

Are these straight or carpenter/baggy style? I wear size 34 x 32 in slacks, but I normally have to purchase size 36 x 32 to get a loose fit in the thigh area. What would you recommend?

    34 x 32 will be ok!

These pants fit wonderfully. I wear a 32-34 x34 and purchased 34x36. The cotton is very soft and the pants are very well made. I would recommend buying your normal size as the pants have an expandable tubular waist which is very comfortable. I have plenty of leg room to move freely and the gusseted crotch make them perfect for active wear.

Somewhere in between! No snug/ not baggy. Order one waist size larger than normal; waist has some "give" to it. LOVE these pants.

I really want to order these, however I am concerned about the inseam, I usually buy a 34" inseam and "most" of the time they are a little long for me. You are out of the 40X34 but you have 40X32, does the 32" run a bit long, if so I'll take two!!!
    1 Answers
from what we have seen these pants do tend to run true to size so it would be a true 32 inseam so they may be a bit short for you.

a 34x32 would be your best option fit wise as if you go down a size they would most likely be to small and not fit.

This may be a dumb question but most pants are sold by waist x length. When I look at the sizes and the chart. It looks like it is shown to be length x waist. Can anyone comment on this?
    1 Answers
The set up is correct and these pants are showing in the drop down menu as Waist x length. since these pants are on closeout, most popular sizes have sold out already.

is for summer or winter use?
    2 Answers
These Blackhawk Pants are best for fall/winter months since they are made of thicker cotton material which will be too hot for hot temperatures.
    on August 5, 2013
I own many pair of both the cotton and the Lightweight Tactical material version. I live in the northeast and wear the blended material from roughly mid April till mid Oct. The cotton IMO is a little too heavy for these months, but the main reason I wear the cotton from mid Oct to mid April (colder dryer months), is to avoid static electricity.
