    Great pair of pants
These pants are great for the range. There are a dozen pockets for everything you could need. The pants are sturdy, too, so don't worry about them falling apart.
ProsWell made, lots of pockets, comfy

    Perfect for travel!
I recently took these pants on a trip to Bangladesh and Nepal, and have to say that they held up great and have tons of pockets to carry what you need! Plus, the extra zippered pockets meant I didn't lose anything to sticky fingers or slight of hand! In countries with weak exchange rates and cash based economies that require you to carry giant wads of the local currency, that's quite an accomplishment!

    Blackhawk light weight Tactical Pants
    Nice fit, accurate sizing, comfortable.
    ProsGreat value, night quality.
ConsThe OD Green color is different from the same color on other LAPG offerings, I prefer the darker rather than the lighter.

    GET A PAIR or.. 10
These pants are easily on my top 3 list of pants, the quality is absolutely outstanding! These things take an ass whooping like no other. The Teflon treatment is the best and lasts the longest of any pair of pants I've ever worn, the handgun mag/flashlight/multi tool/whatever, elastic 3 section organizers in the cargo pockets are sent straight from the gods to make life easier and they do a darn good job. The cargo pockets sit above the knee on the thigh (as they should) so when you're running with a load in your pockets, it's not ripping your knee apart like a lot of other pants you will find, plus it holds everything right where you put it with the elastic organization pockets. The actual cargo pockets are slightly small, but for me, they hold plenty! I can't recommend these pants enough, and I could go on and on about the incredible features, but I think you should let the positive reviews speak for themselves and buy a pair or 10. My only regret was not buying more black pairs in my size while they were still available on closeout.
ProsWhatever indestructible material they're made of and the Teflon treatment they've received. The actual inside of the pockets are made of the same material as the outside of the pants. The 3 section elastic band organization in the cargo pockets. The zipper pockets on the cargo pockets that allow you easy access while sitting(I keep my wallet in one of these) Perfect placement of the cargo pockets on the thigh. Deep back pockets. Double seat and knees with pockets for knee pads. Basically everything.
ConsJust a little wider than I like in the lower leg, and the cargo pockets are slightly shallow.

    Solid design. Great fit
This is a slightly newer version of these pants, which added an additional front of the thigh pocket and switched the cargo pocket closures from magnets to Velcro. Well made.

Great pants with a few drawbacks
I have recently found the awesomeness that is Blackhawk and now own more than a few of their items. I have been very impressed at the quality of materials and craftsmanship. That being said, these are great pants. Color is solid, there are some very thoughtful details - my favorites being the Prym snap, chunk YKK zipper and mag loops in the cargo pockets. However, there are a few minuses. Those of us who carry a few extra pounds will note that these are not very generously cut and do hug the thighs a bit. Some areas could also benefit from a gusset to give some extra room here and there. Overall, I am extremely happy with them and will be getting more in the future.
ProsPrym snap Chunky, metal YKK zipper Secondary waist button Great cargo pockets with mag loops Inseam length is true to length and are a great length for work boots Hidden elastic waist Silicone bead for shirt stays
ConsNot very generously cut in the thighs or groin area

These are some of the best tactical pants that I've purchased. The pockets and zippers are well sewn, the waist band is very sturdy, and the fabric is tough.

    I like them
They are great pants, seem like they will last a while. Tried these after having bought a pair of the 5.11 cargo pants which I loved. For the price... of these, I can't argue with them at all. If I had a choice I might go with the 5.11 again just because they seemed to breathe better and were lighter and it's hot where I live. Also neither good nor bad, there is the rubber lining inside meant to help keep shirts tucked in which I didn't know about.
ProsThey are sturdy pants and I think they will last a long time, useful pockets, look pretty good
ConsA little thicker than I was hoping, I wanted them to be more breathable but that's what happens when you buy online, sight unseen. Just so you know I am not saying these are as hot as jeans... they are easier to wear than that, but more heavy than the 5.11 standard tactical pant whatever it's called... overall, GREAT pants for a GREAT price. Mine did come with a black pen mark or something on one leg which was disappointing... but that's the first time I have had that issue with anything from LAPG

Are these baggy in the pant legs? Do they taper down at the slightest bit? In the image it looks as if it is somewhat tapered. Do you by chance know the leg opening in inches? Thanks

The pants are apx. 11" dia. In the thigh and apx. 10" at the cuff, so pretty much straight leg. Well made, tough but Baggie.

How do these compare to the LT2 pants from Blackhawk? As in fit, material, and features. I cannot decide which would be best for me.
    1 Answers
These pants for the money are a steal as far as quality, features & functionality. Would consider them for change as part of my Uniform Gear. When it comes to fit, they DEFINITELY RUN SMALL compared to 5:11 products. This was my first BlackHawk pant purchase, can't compare them to other BH products. I'm a bigger dude and ALL my uniform pants are 38waist. They were tight in the seat & waist & pockets. I would go a size maybe 2 bigger next pair. Hope that helps

I wear a 30 waist in Wrangler jeans and a 29 in Cinch western jeans. Do these pants fit looser than normal, causing me to need a 28? Or should I stay with a 30?
    4 Answers
These fit pretty accurate to size. I'd say stick with a 30, the waist has elastic built in which makes them fit securely. I wear a 34" waist in Dickies work pants and also in 5.11 tac pants and the waist of the BlackHawk lwt pants fits slightly less snug, though still secure and very comfortable.

So many production runs of these pants, that the recent order I received ran tight. I originally ordered one size smaller, but wish I had ordered my actual size. I find, they measure like the jeans you mentioned. However, there are key differences. The front waist band floats on elastic bands, causing the stomach area to release and give as you bend over. Typical elastic pants like the 501 tacticals cling around the back of the waistline. The Blackhawks apply the pressure to the front, so the pressure to hold the pants up comes from the front. A great feature for fat cops sitting in their car. I actually unbutton mine while. I am seated. Along with front pressure, there is a thin rubber strip around the waist to keep the pants from slipping down. If you are sitting all the time, a smaller size might feel tight, but the smaller size will fit nicely while you are standing. I noticed this last set I bought were cut a bit tighter around the waist. I use suspenders on mine.

Well I'd say these fit true to size, as I ordered a size 34 and they fit spot on. The length and actual room in the legs are also perfect, plus with the crazy amount of pockets you just can't go wrong. Especially at the closeout price, I will more than likely order more before they're gone.

I tried them on and imediately was unhappy with the small under sized front pockets, you cant carry anything in them, what were they thinking --very poor design. I have not worm them since and probably use them for work pants and not all around wear as I intended. I did not even look at the overall fit so sorry I cant answer your baggy question. I see now why they were on close out
    on March 20, 2014
    from Texas
No, I think the reason they look baggy is because of the deep back pockets. I have two pairs already and just ordered my third. The only thing that took me a bit to get used to is, the cargo pockets are smaller than other brands. So far I've been very happy with them.

Are the pant measurements made when the elastic is stretched?
    3 Answers
My size is 36x34 and this pant fit me perfect still has more elastic to stretch.
    on January 15, 2014
As close as I can tell, about 25% of the stretch is used to reach the advertised waist size, so in a sense, you can actually put a size 36 waist on a size 38 waist. It also makes the pants more comfortable with waist band/belt style holsters.

No, there aren't any pockets for knee pad inserts, but they are very nice pants. I don't wear anything but these or the ultralight tactical pants. The material of the light weight tactical pants is pretty durable. I wear these for everything I do outside or even in the workshop. I enjoy the many pockets it has and they work great when I am at the range. Hope this helps.

These Blackhawk Pants don't make any more noise than a regular pair of jeans.
    on May 5, 2013
Hey, Jeff... I've owned these particular pants. When you first get them, I assume the "water-resistance" is what makes the "swooshing" noise you are referencing. It's about like jeans. Once mine were washed a few times, they got substantially quieter. I mean it's not fleece or anything, but I've bow-hunted a ground-blind and didn't scare off the game while wearing them.
