    Switch is awful
    January 12, 2014
Need two hands to operate so useless if you have, say a weapon in other hand. Maybe on high or strobe then want ramp down but need both hands, uh-ah. You can also start to unscrew the tail cap unwittingly. Contrary to LAPG Q & A doesn't take rechargeable batteries.
    Pros:
Good, bright light. High, medium, low & strobe
    Cons:
Switch needs two handed operation - deal buster. Doesn't take rechargeable batteries - deal buster.

I really like this light. It's slightly large for pocket carry, but I could live with that if it had a ring/loop for a lanyard. I haven't been able to find a method to carry it on my duty belt either. The other comments regarding the output lumens and excellent selector switch are accurate. I'm glad that I purchased it.

    Legacy of the Gladius
    June 30, 2013
Great light, the intelligent evolution of the Gladius. Minimal to no afterglow, which is good. One hand selector tailcap is slightly stiff to turn, which is not too much of an issue. As far as 2 cell CR123A taclights go, this is on thelarger size, a little bulky for pocket carry, but quite ideal as a primary belt carried handheld taclight. Way to go, BlackHawk. SoliDeoGloria.

This has been a very good especially for the price, the 570 lumens is extremly bright. The ability to change the brightness level is fantastic it fits nicely on your duty belt. I have nothing bad to say about this light.

    Great light!
    June 18, 2013
This is a very good flashlight for a very good price. The body is strong, and is shaped for easy handling. The 570 lumens are incredibly bright with a tight focal point, and a strobe option is a great feature. I gave 4 stars only because the rotating end cap to change light choice is difficult and awkward to manipulate with one hand. If using with a firearm this virtually leaves the operator one light selection when the strobe or another selection may be a better option. Other than that this is a 5 star light.

    Nice light

I've used a lot of different flashlights in my job. I wanted a light with different power settings, but I didn't want one that you had to scroll thought the different settings to get the desired brightness. This light fits the bill perfectly. It also has a cutoff setting so the light doesn't get turned on in your pack or pocket. The light is a little bulky but that's not a deal breaker. I love it and will most likely get another one or two.

I truly have been looking for a tactcal light for two years. Required high lumens, momentary button with normally off, and pre-select of light mode before turning it on. Bingo,,,,this is it.

    Big and Bright
    April 5, 2013
I bought a couple of these for vehicle and house flashlights to replace a streamlight my son had broken. I knew they were large but wasn't planing to pocket carry them so size wasn't a big factor. They are large bulky and kind of heavy, like a brick of aluminum but I love the mode switch, it is so simple and easy to use. The light is very bright and clean and the price was good, I was leaning towards a Surefire just on the reputation of toughness but the features of this flashlight won me over. I just hope the light lasts longer then the polytac I had.

What holder will this fit in?
    1 Answers
Due to the turning dial, this flashlight will not fit in molded leather holders. You will need to purchase a nylon holder such as the Maxpedition 5" Tube Sheath which can be found here: http://www.lapolicegear.com/m5tush.html

Is there a lifetime warranty? Or just the usual 1 year manufacture's one?

Excluded are the batteries, bulbs, and electronics found within the Night-Ops line. There is no coverage for the batteries and bulbs, but the electronics are covered by a one-year warranty with proof of purchase."
