Awesome find at $15 !
Very well made shirt with oversize fit that is perfect for CCW. Very large zippered pocket under the left chest pocket goes all the way to the side seam!

Don't waste your money.
I can't write a review with out giving it a star but I would give it none. Had this shirt for less then 4 months and it faded.

Dammit, wrong size again
Last time I ordered shirts (5.11 Covert Tactical Shirt), I ordered XL and they fit like a pregnancy smock. Enormous. I could have shoplifed a frozen turkey under those shirts. I just ordered two of these Blackhawk 1700s in size Large. Too small. <sigh>. Returning them. I wish they fit. I like the color, the fabric, the feel. Would have been a great deal if they fit.
ProsI like the fabric. Looks like just what I wanted.
ConsDid not fit. Can't order a replacement because they are a closeout item and out of stock.

I couldn't go wrong in trying these on clearance. They fit well and allow the flow of air to go beneath. In Mississippi heat and humidity, they excel in keeping you from getting too hot. I carry concealed using IWB holster mostly, and they reduce the print very well.
ProsPrice, quality, material is really comfortable. Has held up for past few months through multiple washing / drying.
Consout of plain colors in my size.

Great looking shirt
Shipping was as always quick, and received my shirts promptly. I ordered Med and try them on they fit great, the material feels light and cool for the GA heat. The reason for not giving these shirts 5 stars is due to the sleeves being on the long side, below my elbow. Overall fit was great, with the exception of the sleeves. My wife liked them.
ProsGreat deal at $14.99, light material.
ConsLong sleeves. Not sure if I could conceal carry with these shirts, too thin and may print.

Awesome Shirt, but...
I purchased this shirt for a plain clothes detail I'm working, and the Grey/Green shirt is absolutely awesome!! Very comfortable in 100░ weather with under shirt. So, I go ahead and order the blue and green plaid shirts. Well , they are not the same material and very uncomfortable. The material is just not the same. More abrasive as opposed to thin cotton/polyester material. So now no have two shirts I don't wear.
ProsThe pockets are awesome!! Great for pens, small field notepads, cell phones, ID card holder, etc.. Covers all of duty gear.. well.. pistol, mags and cuffs.. I would but it again, if same material. Freaking AWESOME!!!
ConsKnitted abrasive material makes so uncomfortable I can't even wear it. Especially when dealing with 100░+ temps. If I could I would send them back to BlackHawk. They need to change that material and put it kn the "NEVER USE" list. Plaid material shirts.. stay away from.

Very well made. A great fit. These shirts are made of a strange material. If you stand in the sun it feels like you are wearing a garbage bag. You will start to sweat and they do not breath. I wear them in the evenings or in cooler weather only.

Build quality is good. There's just too much fabric. The 2X fits like my dad's 4X shirts.

Beware reviews on size
Well made shirt, believe the fabric will deliver in the coming hot months, but all the reviews indicated the shirts run big. That isn't my experience. I am a 2XL in everything form Duluth T-shirts, Callaway golf shirts to 5.11 tactical. At 6'4" 265 I find the shirt a touch snug at the upper chest when the top buttons are closed, but serviceable. I would have like a little more room, and would definitely want more length. If I raise my arms to reach for something, it can expose my gun.
ProsPrice and manufacturing quality.
ConsNot as generous a cut as the reviews would lead me to believe, and not as long as I would have liked.

Great shirt, great price
At this price ($15) I figured it was worth the gamble. Worth every penny! Great fit, great colors!
ProsGreat fit, unbeatable price.

Very nice shirt. Great material and stiching. It does run a little big, which may be nice if you run CCW, but if you are on the edge of two sizes, i would go with the smaller, unless you like your stuff real baggy

Blackhawk 1700 shirt
Very nice shirt and easy to wear. Long enough for full concealment and a very nice fabric. It's comfortable at a nice price. It's also nice enough to get by with business dress.

Ill give it to blackhawk on this one. These shirts are comfortable in a variety of ranges. I have worn them in several extreme environments to include The Sonoran Desert in summer and the Sierra Nevada in winter. I have had 2 for two years now and they are still holding up. They are my Go-bag Go-to's.

Do these shirts have a side vents magnetic or snaps or no side slit at all to get to Holster
Unfortunately there is not a side vent or magnetic closure. I bought it because it's larger and covers my appendix carry. Good shirt for the price.

No, they don't have any vents, snaps, or large slits on the side. They have a small 2" slit like you would find on an average men's shirt of this type. They are cut large for the size, but you would still have to lift the shirt high up over a holster.

I'm 6'2" 235lbs and normally wear a XL in a SS Shirt. Reviews seem to recommend a large. Recommendations?
If you plan on getting the green plaid or blue plaid colors they tend to fit just a tad larger than the others cause of their cut and fabric. For the other colors Large may fit on the close quarters side and give a snug fit. If you're muscular that may be the way to go. If you sport a tactical muffintop the XL would give some room to breath. These do in fact run a bit larger than most traditional brands without going overboard. They are overall just a smaller than 5.11 brand.

I'm 5'10 170 and a large is a good fit for me. You probably want to go with xl.

I am 5'9", 235 lbs. I usually prefer a size 2XL shirt. Some of the XL's feel too tight for me. I would suggest you order your normal size. That might give you some extra room to conceal your weapon.

What is the body length on this shirt in 2XL? I have LAPG covert short sleeve shirts and they work fine in 2XL. How does this one compare in body length? Thanks
We don't have the exact measurements but from personal experience, both these shirts fit about the same. I also wear a 2XL
