    Garrison Leather Belt
While I like the belt, just be aware that it tends to run smaller than other belts of the same size. If you order, order one size larger.

    Great belt that runs small
This is a great sturdy belt, one I have been looking for. Unfortunately I ordered my normal size, only to find this belt runs small. Will be returning it for one size larger. Other than that it is worth the money.

Excellent quality belt. Dyed through not just on top. Full grain leather, thick and strong. Expecting years of service from this belt.

Boston Leather Garrison Belt, 1 3/4"
Belt is made of good quality leather, but my problem is the piece of the buckle that feeds through the holes. I noticed one day, not too long after I had bought the belt that it was bent, and at a pretty good angle too. I can still wear the belt, but expected a little bit better from a company like Boston Leather.
    Pros-Leather
Cons-Piece on buckle bent not long after having the belt.

Good belt, but runs at LEAST a size small
This is a very good belt, especially for the money. Make sure you order one size larger from all of your other belts.
    ProsGood quality leather, great price.

I read on one review that this belt runs a size small (wear a 42, buy a 44). Would you say this is an accurate assessment? Ready to order, just need to confirm sizing. Thanks!

I've had multiple people I've ordered this belt for. I'd say about half liked the size and half needed a size bigger.

Yes, absolutely. By the time you put a magazine pouch, handcuff pouch, and holster on the belt you will definitely need the extra length. They are good belts, especially for the money, but they do wear out. My pants are 34 to 36 and i bought a 38". Been using it for 3-4 years, will probably replace it this fall.

Definitely run small. I order 1-2 sizes larger for the guys on my department.

The belt seemed to be the size I ordered; there was no problem wth sizing and I like the belt. I'd assume you could exchange it if the size wasn't to your liking.

Not small, but recognize you order a size up from your normal pant size when choosing a belt. If you are a 36 for example, order a 38. The measurement is to the center hole, so the 38 will fit 36-40ish. This gives enough room to thread stuff onto it, like holsters and cuff cases, while leaving enough tightening room. I'm a 38, the 40 fits perfect with a Safariland 7TS paddle and Safariland mag/cuff paddle.

I recently purchased this belt and am happy with the purchase, and would agree that you should order one size up.

Does this belt come with a gold buckle? If not where would I find one?

Comes with silver. If you can't order it from here, try Amazon or your local Uniform shop for the buckle.

This belt is well made. It comes with a Silver buckle. You could do a search on Brass buckle for 1 3/4" leather belt.

Can the buckle be changed out? Isn't clarino an artificial form of leather used for hockey pads? How does it hold up compared to the bridle leather?
    1 Answers
yes the buckle is removable and can be changed out. as for the finish the belt is a bridle leather but the clarino finish is a synthetic leather placed over the bridle leather to help protect it as clarino is a very durable material.

Is the length of this belt the size of your waist or the actual length of the belt?
    2 Answers
This would run on the size of your waist so for example if you have a size 35 waist then you would need a 36 but we have had one customer say that these belts do run a bit small.

I got one of Boston Leather (not from LA Police Gear) and I got it exactly as my pant's waist size (32"). It was small, so always get one or even two size larger because in case it is a little bit longer, you always can put extra holes.
