I’m sure it can be done but unfortunately we don’t do any tailoring or custom work to items.

What is the writing surface made of? If the tickets are carbon copies, is the surface stiff enough to write?

The writing surface is just leather. There isn't any sort of hard backing or anything with it. We can email other customers who have purchased this item to see if they had any issues with writing.

It's made out of leather and its strong to write on. You still need to place a a cardboard or something in between your 3copies or it will transfer to the other...

I bought the citation holder for my trainee. Who has moved on to a different shift. The best I can do to answer your question is, when I put the citations inside the book. A standard ticket book had about an inch of leather edge around it. It also held the warning book.
