Great summer & Fall boor
I first purchased these boots in 2007 and absolutely love them. I still wear them while patrolling the school. The comfort along with the sturdy vibram sole is great. I'm sorry Blackhawk is getting rid of this model. I'm ordering 2 more pairs. Get them while you can.
ProsComfort Foot remains cool in hot summer months Great quality

comfort straightout the box
I was skeptical when purchasing these boots. Ive heard mixed things on these boots from many friends serving. I had to try for myself before judging, so I bought a pair. Right out the box the boot was a great fit, true to size. Very comfortable, which is important, especially if you have back problems and are on feet most of the day. They seem to be well made, but only time will be the true test for these boots. I would by them again.

Don't purchase for use in wet environments...
I have had several pairs and water is their enemy. They are advertised for use in such conditions but the fact is, from personal experience, that if used in situations such as fording streams, or wading for short periods, etc., the soles become quickly delaminated. In dry, hot, environments they are cool and comfortable and light and with heavy use last at least a year in my area of operations (South East Asia). I have also used UA Valsetz and have experienced the same if too much contact with water, wet areas, etc. They are also light, cool and comfortable in the same conditions I previously described. Walking a lot, with any load, in either pair will stress the sole at the point of flex and that is where I see one issue of delamination starting in both boots. Another issue is if you kick stuff a lot. The toe cap will start to detach leading to failure from that point. Another weak point is stepping on the back of the boot, with your other boot, to remove it. That will contribute to the same problem of the sole detaching but from the rear. My advice to Blackhawk would be to implement better adhesive, better fusion technique and better QA.

Light weight but fall apart
I bought these boots several years ago but I only were them for 3 gun competition. The soles are still in good shape but the entire sole area is detaching from the boot on both boots. I bought some shoe goo to put them back together but it does not hold. I would not buy these boots again.

Review for BlackHawk Warrior Wear Light Assault Boot TAN + 3 FREE SOCKS
These are great boots but I bought the tan ones and they are a lot darker tan than I was expecting. Not sure if I'll be able to wear these at my unit.
